  1. of course they take longer to kill, because they heal themselves. but while they do that, they don't do any damage, so aside from it taking a little longer than usual, its a free&easy kill...
  2. either that or the Rythmn Augmentation Droid from the Security Key Vendor.
  3. he means: what if we already got the mail without the mission item?
  4. european notation, not american. 10.04.2012 is 10th of april. but thats only the preorder date, release is still not confirmed but expected to be in june.
  5. i really don't get it. if anything, combat medic should have been buffed or at least just left the way it is, it was okay. PVP? combat medic 1-on-1 against any other class? the only times i've seen combat medics win those is when the opponent really, really, really sucked at playing their class. i've been happy with my healing in PVP, although i never did as much as the sages and smugglers (who, other than the commando, seem to be able to do quite some damage as well in their heal spec), because it felt at least a little more reliable than the healing of sages and smugglers. now with the ammo changes, it seems this is over. PVE? we had to prove time and time again that commandos were acceptable healers, as everybody knew sages were OP. with huge effort, we still got the work done somehow and healed them through the Ops, but it was hard and cumbersome without real AoE capabilities. And now? **** that. Still no real AoE capabilites (4 people instead of 3? seriously? thats not even enough for 8man-ops. and then they even have the nerves to NERF the kolto bombs use??), and everything else nerfed as well... Why would they still take me over a sage or smuggler now? hell, even I myself woudn't take me. i really don't get it.. I'm a game developer myself, I do know about balancing, I do know that they need to look at a bigger picture and what not... but seriously... where do they get the notion that combat medics deserve a nerf, even in the big picture? thats like.. i don't even... i don't know what to say to that ********... i've played MMOs for over 10 years now and have never been as shocked by patch notes as right now... bioware, please... tell us what you were thinking... and think again. done that. as i had big faith in bioware and subbed for a long time, i've got plenty of time left on my account, but i have to say my faith is badly broken now. i unsubbed and listed this as the reason. lets hope they get the message.
  6. i find it hard to believe that you think whatever gathering skill you have is something completely different. while those others might not generate instant cash like slicing did, they are by no means less profitable than slicing was, and they definitly do not make you a loss like slicing does now. considering the prices of the higher Mats on the Market (that i NEED to buy to advance in cybertech, thus giving you the money to advance in whatever you do), slicing wasn't very profitable at all. its benefit was that you got that money instantly and didn't have to put up with the market at first. low to no benefit if you ask me, as i on the other hand need that same market to get my mats for crafting, those mats that you can easily farm yourself. the problem with slicing was: it created fast and easy money for the EARLY game, which we all were in, so it seemed op. for the higher levels, du to drastically rising costs but only slightly rising slicing income, that wasn't true anymore at all. additionally, questing and pvp earns you far more credits on high level than slicing did. i do agree in one point: some low level missions yielded to much simply due to the fact that they take far less time than the higher ones. those guys bragging they made millions where those abusing this fact, mostly with several alts at once leaving them no time to do anything else i guess. that needed to be addressed, fixing that would have been perfectly okay. but that they now nerfed ALL slicing missions so hard, that 9 out of 10 tries its a loss is insane. only thing keeping me at slicing for now is the hope that they might nerf the nerf, and that augments might be more valuable later on - for now, the early days of the game, they are more than useless.
  7. look is very important to me too. but to some degree, i enjoy working for that look and working to keep it up, and that is what the mod system requires and encourages you to do. as far as looks go, an appearance tab on the other hand would render any work useless because who cares to do any more work if you get your perfect appearance on level 10 and never need to do anything again to keep it? so as initially said, i do prefer to work to get my look and to keep it. which is why i love the modding system that already perfectly enables us to customize our look, and why i hope they expand that (maybe a way to convert an item to empty orange ones just for the look) and NEVER add an appearance tab for you lazy whiners.
  8. look at the bottom of your screen, beneath your usual XP bar.
  9. seriously? now thats odd... no pun intended.
  10. seems the low level odd ones just aren't craftable - that changes on high level though. i guess thats on purpose. they can be purchased for planetary commendations though.
  11. thanks! looking forward to heaving sweet sweet orange exceptional gear now..
  12. when you get orange armor with 3 slots or weapons with 4 slots in the raids, but can craft armor with 4 slots and weapons with 5 slots, i am pretty sure the simple rules of math say the opposite. only difference is the raid drops come prefilled with mods, while the crafted stuff needs to be filled yourself.. with mods you can again craft yourself... only way that would make sense is if raid drops contain better mods than the best purple crafted mods.. but then again, crafting mods wouldn't make much sense that way... making me question the choice to take cybertech...
  13. thanks for the clarification. now that most definitly brightens my mood again, at least for the crafting side of things. as already said in the other reply, i'm not sure what that means for raiding/endgame then...
  14. nope, thats why he wrote 'blue' - gear like that appears blue in the crafting screen but actually acts like an orange item with scaling and modability and everything.. i think it even is orange after crafting. so, if he could really craft a fully modable lightsaber with an augment slot (that would be 5 slots total if i'm not mistaken), that be good news for augments. if he really did.
