  1. Of you course you should have "reward" but... i don't know... my "carrot and on a stick" to do pve content is usualy getting stuff for pvp and vice versa now with "modern" mmo the problem came from people who claimed that to "get better" at pvp you should do only pvp... and not just that but only pvp in a bunch of tiny map a la quake... same number of people, same lvl, same, same, same because otherwise "its not fair" "where the "skillzzzz" "lol, noob, noob, lol, me powergamer you jane" At the end.. it doesnt change a thing it's still not an e-sport it is still a freaking roll dice that make you get a critical shot or a dodge but now you just forced to play like a factory worker just because lot of people who dont have a clue but think highly of themself wanted a game that give them the illusion that they are talented "team based fps" players if you can't get over the fact that sometime you roll a 1 and a fresh guy roll a 20 and then you loose... YOU should have played a fps not a mmo
  2. well sad to say but if you get people who want to play a mmo and see pve and pvp as a whole... and not people who want a "team fortress for dummy" there is no problem a lot of "problem" in mmo today is that most player who want to play that kind of game dont like the core principles of it... beg for stuff that make you more powerfull then the next guy ...to do the same instanced pve raid and the same instanced pvp arena again and again not a problem that gear play a role but when gear can get so powerfull that it's all that matter... from the promise of virtual worlds in the first mmo now we are now getting some weird counter strike... a bunch of "map" and "virtual roll dice" for aim, dodge and damage "expertise" is a total aberration, a mistake made in a successfull game so dev think its now a "must have" i don't have a grudge against Wow but it did more bad then good to the genre
  3. not to mention "force wave" or "force pull" put you out of a bridge more surely then knockback anyway... yeap "us" shadow/assassin tank get a few trick for loosing some dps
  6. oh reaaally Stephen ?! well for every email wave i'm not in, i'll kill a puppy, a cute one how about that now !
  7. As you can read the problem is here if you preordered a collector edition on day 1 = it's probably the smoothest release ever if you are anything else you feel like you've been given the middle finger i kind of hate that trick of creating a privileged group inside a privileged group inside a privileged group etc. If you pre-ordered the game the 5/8/11 you must be more "rewarded" then the guy who did it the 12/8... meanwhile all server show a light population... i do not approve all the cry but i think it's was predictable do they really thought they will create a great mood by letting 10% of people playing the 13 and let the 90% without a clue and nothing else to do then complain here ? the pre-release concerne more then 1million players... it is THE release no matter what the official words are doesnt look like asking a lot to at least give a more precise idea about... when people who pre-order the game at X day Y month will have access it's not the "worst launch ever" but it is kind of weird that a very polished game like this self sabotage the first days with this "hype night club" line and create a mess that has nothing to do with technical issue and such i can understand the "rage" when you are waiting to know when you'll be able to come-in and meanwhile read stuff about people already using exploit etc... at that point i'm expecting to read about gold seller in-game before the 20
  8. EA/bioware are to blame for all this we already know people on forum are not alway very gracious... What they are playing is creating a privileged group inside the communauty then create a more privileged group inside that privileged group etc... it the best way to alienate people it's not clever to go for something like "we want to make sure we "reward" the people who pre-order the game the 5 more then the people who pre-order it the 18" that slow artificial line for early access (aka un-official release date for 1million of players) is stupid, it was obvious it will create a very bad mood in the forum (place that usualy dont need help for that) today was the "light" period for qq thread Wait for friday or worst saturday if there is still pre-order folks waiting to get in
  9. The irritating thing here is that the trouble for launch are not technical trouble but simply the way they handle that weird un-official release date they are just creating a very bad atmosphere there is around 1million pre-order... it is the release of swtor you can expect making people enter 1 by 1 like the line for a hyped night club and heard only nice comment from those at the end of the line it's obvious they are not going to feel privilegied but screwed you think you read QQ now ? Wait for those still waiting friday it is a messy launch in the "self sabotage" departement here swtor is probably one of the most polished mmo ever released
  10. well... There's a "lot of" valid reason why people are upset.. and it's was frankly predictable You let 10% enter et let the other 90% with nothing to do other then wait and watch maybe not mature of them to be "angry" but clearly not a clever idea to begin with especially if you hope to create a good atmosphere for the first days of the game you think you read QQ now ? Wait for those inside those 90% still waiting friday not mature... but when the "watching" part is learning some player already found an exploit and we will probably see some lvl 50 roaming and maybe even gold seller several day before the official release date... i begin to understand the "rage" letting those 10% in a space made for 100% and much more and "surprise" some of them already find a "bug / bad design" to exploit in that particular circunstance the irony he's that swtor is probably one of the most polished mmo ever released but the way they manage those first day of weird "elite" inside the "elite" is almost self sabotage ONE date for pre-order and ONE date for regular release would have been so much simple and so much better for the global mood even if it's mean more techinal trouble, some server crash etc...
