  1. I completely agree, was on last night and there were less than 10 people on Tatooine and Quesh, ridiculous. How can you do heroic quest, let alone flashpoints when there aren't enough people? I think this problem is only going to get worse as the game matures, all of thes lower level heroic areas are going to be wastelands.... They should either allow players to solo\duo these heroic 4-mans as an option (scaling) or allow players to bring 2-3 companions along with them, that in particular would be a lot of fun.... The irony is that none of the rewards from these quests are worth going through all the waiting around\headache of getting a group together, so a lot of people are just skipping them...
  2. I don't care what you do at endgame...You don't care what I do...The diffrence is I am not out screaming that you should not be able to do 8/16 raid at endgame.... What one does, has little to no effect on the other...but each benefit by thier being content provided for both playstyles.
  3. Well your wrong, the fact is more people don't raid than raid...and Bioware is kidding themselves if they think that offering a "story" mode is going to suddenly get people to raid.... I think the idea of a player\companions mode with gear 1 tier lower than current raid gear is a great idea...they should extend that option to heroic 4 man areas & flashpoints as well... It gives those people who don't want to raid some sort of progresion at endgame without affecting raids, b\c they were not going to raid anyway... It also has the benefit that if they did decide they wanted to raid there wouldn't be this huge gear gap to overcome to access those raids.... Raiders would still get top level gear but there wouldn't be such a huge gap b\t the two. There is no good reason why there shouldn't be progression for both raiders and soloers, one does not affect the other and the more playstyles that are included\catered to the more subscriptions for Bioware, the better for everyone.....just common sense...
  4. IF you want orange customizeable gear to be useful at end game then allowing augment slots to be added to pre-existing gear is a must do.... I think a mechanism that allows crafters to create an Augment Socket Kit specific to thier profession that they could then sell to other players to retrofit thier orange gear would make a lot of sense.
  5. What I would like to see..... A talent that ups the damage of burn\bleed DoT's (Burning Purpose\Burning Blade\Plasma Brand) - Dot damage is rather weak at best (for a Guardian) and they removed the skill interrupt benefit of this in PvP...Why not have a talent that a player player could choose to make thier DoT damage more robust? Allow Opportune Strike and Pommel Strike to be usable in PvP and on Elite targets....if they felt they needed to, a slight lowering of the damage these abilities do to strong\elite\PvP targets could be made as well...right now it stands as a 1/3 reduction vs weak\std targets. Add a 1.5 - sec stun (or enough to cover the GCD) to the end of Master Strike - I think this would make this ability more useful in PvP as you could possibly chain another ability at the end of this, it would also synchronize nicely with Pommel Strike. Love to see a new animation for Riposte...currently it is a rather lackluster animation....
  6. Jett-Rinn That is dissapointing to hear.... They need to incorporate scaling into the Heroic 4 quests....I was doing Balmorra yesterday and there is like 6 of them, it was ridiculous....and the irony of it is, that the rewards are not even that good....a blue that may\may not be a slight upgrade, an orange gear piece (of whch by now you have multiples of) or 3 commendations? So basically you have most people skipping them...So in essence, Bioware has created content that a large majority of thier player base will just skip...and here now they are encouraging people to make alts and I seriously doubt most people are going to go thru this content again, as this game matures all those heroic areas are going to be empty wastelands...what a complete waste of design time....same goes for flashpoints... 38% of endgame 50's raiding is a fail, and putting story mode in isn't going to help that much either.... I don't mind most of the 2+ heroic content b\c most of it can be soloed, some are more challenging than others but for a solo player it offers a nice challenge.... I think scaling, allowing more than 1 companion, or solo\duo versions of quests\flashpoints etc are all great ideas, and yes many MMO's are already embracing this.... You have 2 different playstyles and any good MMO should be looking for ways to appeal to both of them, that is just good business, raiders want more raids\tiers, solo players want a comparable endgame progression...satisfy both and strengthen your game\subscription base overall, that is just common sense.... Relevant rewards can easily be achieved by lockouts, tokens etc.... Hopefully Bioware sees this before it is too late, b\c I agree there will be an exodus of people who when they get to endgame have nothing else to do but raid\PvP or reroll...you can only view the same content so many times and gear gaps eventually lead to people quitting and there is no need for it to be that way.
  7. I laughed when I saw this thread, I just ran into this last night... L40 Guardian, I didn't even try to take Loell, I may go back, but I agree it really bugs me that this is in the bonus quest series (it is actually the bonus of the bonus quest lol). Nowhere does it list it is meant for a group. It really shouldn't be. I don't have a problem if you have to go into a heroic area to get to the target, but as it is now, and this thread just proves it, most people are just going to skip it...well done Bioware, you created content that most people won't even bother to play.. IMO, this is a larger problem though, there are too many heroic 4 mans...heck Balmorra has what 5? 6? It is ridiculous, and it is not easy to find a group for them, and this situation is only going to get worse as the game ages, those places are going to be wastelands...no one is going to go use them, why would they? Waste of time.... They really need to come up with an alternative way to allow people to experience those quests...scaling, 2-man version, allow solo with 2-3 companions etc.... I mean it is not like the quest rewards are beneficial, seriously, some mediocre blue item and commendations or an orange piece of social gear....Heck I just went back last night to Nar Shaddaa and cleared the 2\4-man content off my quest log.....just to get a few commendations and a piece of orange gear...big whoop, orange gloves, I already had 6 pair of them..... Bioware needs to re-think heroic areas IMO.....Nothing Heroic about them.... I DO find soloing the 2-man Heroics to be a fun challenge..., that is what they need to do with the 4-mans, have it scale to group or something...it is not like the rewards are worth getting\running the content for, it IS seeing the content (likely just once lol) that is the draw...
  8. Vrook Lamar - PvE-RP West would be a good server for West Coasters.
  9. /signed This along with hood down option for robes seem like such an OBVIOUS feature to have in the game....
  10. I agree the animation is very lackluster.
  11. Well it is no more boring than raiding that is for sure....endless trash mobs, spamming 2-3 buttons on bos mobs with 1-2 unique mechanics...yeah, that is thrilling stuff and if Bioware is trying to "avoid" endgame solo play then this game is destined to fail b\c most other MMO's are now realizing that the "player base" is getting older or "expanding"...and not all playstyles are the same, some people just want to log on and progress thier character without haveing to beholden to being in a guild or commit large chunks of time to a raid.... Rift, Lotro, Age of Conan, even Wow have all begun to realize this and are adding in endgame content for solo\small group play...the problem is for most of them they didn't go far enough and they offered it far too late....
  12. That is a bunch of bs, because as it sits now most raiders can get a piece of gear or more in 1 night.... They could easily give solo players more challenging quests at endgame (on or slightly higher level heroic 2+) to WORK toward equivalent gear. Maybe they get 1 token per run, shares a lockout with raids and provides a seperate set of gear that is stat relevant (within 5% or so) of raid gear but not as good. Maybe it takes 3-5 tokens to acquire such gear. So what a raider gets in 1 raid, a soloer has to spend 3 to 5 times as long to get gear that is close to but not as good. No reason Bioware could not do that, and quite frankly that is far too appeasing to whiny raiders IMO, but I could live with something like that. In my opinion, if a raider can get a piece of gear in 1 night a solo player should be able to as well, particularly if the gear isn't as good, particularly if they share the same lockouts..
  13. If there isn't some sort of continuing progression path for my character when I finally do reach endgame, or at least something in the works, then I will just cancel my subscription. I have done my share of raiding in many MMO's....I don't want or feel the need to do that anymore... Unlike some people here apparently, I have limited time (heck my character is only L34 and I have been playing since head start), I want to be able to play when I have time, progress my character in the manner that I CHOOSE and then as long as at endgame, they can provide relevant gear\STAT rewards to solo\small group playstyles (within 5% or so) then I will stay, if endgame remains the same as it is now...Raid, PvP grind or Endless Reroll, then it is a real simple decision, I will just cancel my subscription, and I suspect many other people will as well.... I don't mind grouping for small flashpoints excursions or heroics when I have the time to do so, but if any game is going to try and compel me to do it (or raid) to remain STAT relevant, then forget it, I don't need to waste my money on that crap again.... I find it ironic that all people that solo are asking for is some type of content\progression at endgame, something to work towards that at least keeps them relevant STAT wise to other (Raid\PvP) types and not spiralling into a hopeless gear gap that infests so many MMO's today....and THESE are the people many of whom (not the OP) who likely haven't even reached 50 yet... and that the biggest whining is not coming from solo players but from the Raider\wannabe professional PvP'rs who rushed to 50, gobbled up all the content and now endlessly whine for more and complain about the quality of what was provided at launch, what? 3-4 weeks after release....Yeah cater to THOSE knuckleheads Bioware... Heaven forbid you offer alternative endgame to the other, LARGE group of people who pay thier monthly fee, and whom many of, have yet to reach or exhaust all the content you provided at launch....
  14. Again, I never said I was, in fact pretty sure I said I grouped SEVERAL times already...Apparently you don't read posts you just comment on them. Seriously....
  15. Wow, that is not what I said at all. Please re-read through it and try to comprehend what I am saying, I cannot believe the disconnect you are having here...either that or you are just trolling...
