  1. Trying to load SWTOR tonight and play, like i do every night. Log in, put in my security key, then i get to the screen where it checks for patches. It sits there "initializing" forever, then pops up the error "This application has encountered an unspecified error. Please try this patch again." I've done this several times. i've also tried to run the verification you can select in settings to check the files, but that isn't an option (is grayed out.) How do i fix this? Thank you. (ETA: Wow, it's been forever since i posted. The server in my signature hasn't existed for years.)
  2. Personally, i find a better way to communicate with guildies is via the guild's website. Ongoing discussions and suggestions are much easier to communicate via my guild forums than they are via email. It would be a nightmare to receive 250+ replies and sort through them via guild email. But i can see where small guilds that don't have their own websites might find guild email useful.
  3. We're still going stronger than some guilds out there. We do hardmodes (several different raids weekly) and we PvP regularly as a guild. During peak hours we generally have over 20 guildies online at a time. We're always adding new level 50 guildies, so even if some people move on, we have someone to take their places. i would be happier if we still have 10+ people on during the server's slow times, but it's a "good" day if i see even that many people on the fleet during the daytime now.
  4. We have at our peak times generally over 20 players online in my guild. Unfortunately, during down times we're lucky to have 4 people on. It's not 24/7 now like it was right after launch. But our guild focuses on team play, raids, and PvP, so we tend to play when we can find more people online, in general. We're always recruiting. And there's almost always someone online.

  6. You get the purple mods and enhancements from doing the daily level 50 heroics on Belsavis. Or you could find a friendly cybertech and artificer to make them for you.
  7. There really is no explanation for fanboiism. Just hope these poor people eventually learn to start seeing more clearly and move on.
  8. The freebie pet isn't nearly as cute as the CE pet. Bought the CE pet. Can't see ever summoning the "Ram" version on my character that has Taunta. It's just too adorable!
  9. Not me. This is still better than any other MMO i've done (at least, their current versions. i did like some BEFORE they released major content.) Healing works smoother now, i can mess around with Legacy stuff now, i just hate the way PvP rewards are going now. The win/loss ratio is so out of balance that i suspect as soon as people notice they are losing they'll start leaving WZs in droves because there's no reason to really stay as the losing side. At least, that was my experience yesterday!
  10. Open up your Interface options, then in the lower right corner, right above the map (unless you've already moved stuff around!) is a target of target frame. Click on that frame. Now in the options panel in the middle of the screen check the "Enable" box. Voilà! You now have target of target enabled.
  11. Oh, yes. Having my queues pop almost instantly instead of taking 20-30min like it used to is a very disturbing trend. Oh, wait.... No, it's not.
  12. my level 50 sorc inq (healer) did just fine yesterday in both PvP and PvE. i really didn't notice much difference at all. People are over-reacting, as usual.
  13. i think i'll take a nap, since i was up all night with a fussy toddler. Got my patching done, so i should be set for when we finally come back up in 2ish hours!
  14. It's unfortunate that you've never actually played any other MMORPG when a major patch has been deployed, otherwise you'd realize that this has been a very painless patch, as such things go. Patch was release ON TIME, didn't break anything major (unless it did for a bare handful of users), and can easily be tweaked over the next week or so. That doesn't mean i agree with all the changes. But no patch will be 100% embraced by 100% of players. It's just not possible. Take the good, work around the bad, and suck it up. Or leave and give me all your stuffz. Either way works for me. Players with some fortitude stay, those that we're better off without leave. Win/win
  15. Hubby and i have both experienced this. Choosing "Quit" works, so if you can't log out, try quit.
