  2. (Reuters) - Electronic Arts lost 400,000 subscribers of "Star Wars: The Old Republic" in the fourth quarter, dealing a blow to its efforts to rely on the new game for growth and sending the game maker's shares down about 9 percent. EA has poured more money and firepower into "Star Wars: The Old Republic" than it has any game in its 30-year history. Wall Street is closely watching to see if the game can succeed, since it could bring EA riches for years to come. If it struggles, EA's earnings will be hurt in future quarters. Interim Chief Financial Officer Ken Barker said in an interview that EA is pleased with the stability of the game, but it wants to boost the subscriber base up with the release of two expansion packs this quarter that deliver players more content. The subscriber numbers EA reported on Monday missed some analyst estimates. Brean Murray analyst Todd Mitchell was expecting 1.5 million paying subscribers. "'Star Wars' is a nice role playing game but people are playing through it and leaving," Mitchell said. EA had been hoping to take on its biggest rival, Activision Blizzard, which had more than 10 million subscribers to "World of Warcraft" last quarter. "Warcraft" is the 7-year-old Internet game that is Activision's most profitable franchise. Video game companies such as EA and Activision have been trying to turn gamers from one-time purchasers into subscribers who generate a steady and predictable revenue stream to boost business and protect against economic uncertainty. EA now expects EPS to be in the range of $1.05 to $1.20 per share for the year on revenue of $4.3 billion. Analysts on average are expecting EPS of $1.12 a share on revenue of $4.49 million, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S. Sterne Agee analyst Bhatia said the company's earnings forecast was light and was likely affected by the performance of "Star Wars.'" For the fiscal first quarter, the company expects EPS to be a loss of 45 cents per share to 40 cents per share. Adjusted for the deferral of digital revenue and other items, the company said profit fell 33 percent to $56 million, or 17 cents per share, which beat Wall Street estimates by a penny. Adjusted revenue fell 2 percent to $977 million, which beat analyst estimates of $957.85 million, according to Thomson-Reuters I/B/E/S. Its futuristic game "Mass Effect 3" helped drive sales in the quarter. The company's digital revenue hit $1.2 billion in the fiscal year. Its shares fell to $1.41, or 9 percent, in aftermarket trading after closing at $15.12 per share on Monday. (Reporting By Liana B. 3. NGE was a better game than this, it's true...never thought i would say i prefer the NGE over anything but it's not as boring as this game..
  4. You all really need to fix the bugged datacrons, like the plus 10 republic on the fleet that you can't grapple too, the green matrix on corellia, ect. ect.. it is frustrating to waste time when theses don't work as intended due to bugged flawed system.
  5. The game is lacking, boring once you hit 50, crafting subpar, space combat subpar, wz's a joke. The game is nothing more than WOW modded with SWG toons..
  6. 1. Guild mail 2. Get rid of orbital station, make it easier and faster to go from one planet to the next. 3. Que for individual war zones, I hate hutball. 4. Player housing, player cities.. 5. Guild voice chat. 6. Space revamp, rail system so outdated.
  7. Animal mounts, now we can all mount our sheep....
  8. No I don't, they could add 1. Guildmail. 2. The ability to que for specific warzones. 3. Get rid of the orbital stations ( it's a pain to run thru a sp go down a elevator to your ship, fly to another planet, then run thru a orbital station to land on the planet. SWG had better sp's) 4. Player housing other than the ship, maybe player cities with guildhalls. 5. Space, the rail system is just lame and so 80's 6. A voice chat channel where you can talk to ur guild or group..
  9. My guild could care less, we will pvp against each other since most of us have toons of both factions, and two separate guilds..
  10. It would be better if you could que the wz you want to be in, I personally hate hut ball and will leave 9/10 times before the match starts..
  11. I have to agree with your statement, this game has potential but it is lacking allot.
  12. Oh lord, how old is everyone, the world is coming to an end because a few people made some fast cash, there goes the economy. I blame Obama...
  13. Well the real issue is these people subscribe to a game, and as long as they are not harassing anyone, who should dictate how the spend their time, sure it's a pain but what is to stop them from just walking around and doing nothing in a warzone, if you want to fix it drop the amount of xp you get to force them to level up another way, but 6-20k xp for a 14min warzone is way too much..
  14. Is there a way to email everyone in the guild at once????
  15. Space combat is a joke, as is the crafting.. Server Queue is a whole different issue... 2 stars from me..
