  1. I would, but I have to delete a character to try that. I only have 1 human character I play. I might delete my scoundrel and make another trooper. If I do I will check the human options for you. +500 presence unbuffed... technically. If that is possible that nuts, because you could still use stims and cantina drinks to raise that well over 600 at level 50. That would be some seriously beastly companions. A lot of work to get to that point though haha.
  2. I have the +100 from the human legacy and the +50 from completing the conversations with all my sniper companions. When I level a new character I use presence stims and the cantina drinks.... you can really make your companions pretty beastly. On my 29 commando my companions have roughly 1-1.5k more HP than I do. Speaking of +presence from completing companion conversations. Does that mean you can get +50 for each class companions you do that for? Like +200 for all 4 empire classes with maxed companions or is it just the +50 from the first time you do it?
  3. For the first part. George Lucas himself might not get directly involved with the game much, but you can bet BioWare has Lucas Arts sign off on everything. The only thing the community will make that is star wars related is pin-ups of princess leia in her slave outfit across their UI and Ewoks... both of which don't really belong in the game because neither are from this time line.
  4. You think players would actually create their own filters? They can't even use the profanity filter or ignore list correctly according to this thread. I agree that the feature would be nice for parents. Since we really could and would use the feature if we cared what our kids saw. This way you could add other spellings of the words you find offensive. Maybe it is worth putting in the suggestion box forum. It still wouldn't prevent the person from spacing between each c h a r a c t e r like that to bypass the filter, but then those people can just be reported for bypassing the filter or ignored. Or you could use the report feature like it was intended. Which is already in the game by the way. If you do your part then BioWare will do theirs.
  5. Crazy that you have a different version of the same game because in my version both faction resolve bars behave the same. Learn to use your CC break at the right time. I have never experienced being stunned/mezzed/knockback/knockdown with a full resolve bar after popping my CC break during immunity. It's amazing how many people think root = stun. Are you one of those people? Roots and snares are the only things that can effect you with immunity going. If a stun knocks you into immunity you do sit for the duration of the stun like normal unless you use your CC break like you are supposed to if it is off CD.
  6. This is exactly what all parents should be doing. Not neccessarily the same age requirements as that is all personal preference, but I mean regulating exposure to games/content that they don't feel is appropriate for their kids. Ratings are meant as guide lines to help parents judge content at a glance. It's not a hard fast rule that everything PG13 is ok for 13 year old kids because we all know directors will push that envelope to allow things in their movies that skirt just on the boarder of being the next rating... R. If a movie is PG13 then a lot of parents will allow their kids to see it without question. The second there is a R rating then parents start shutting their kids from seeing the movie even though an R rated movie doesn't always mean it's extremely graphic or has too much sexual content. To go with all that parents need to take responsiblity for what their kids are exposed to and stop blaming companies/TV/video games for all the lack of parenting skills. If you or your kids are playing SWTOR and their might be questionable content in general chat.. then limit the exposure to it. Use filters. Use the ignore list. You can even hide the chat screen all together. It's in your power to police your own experience and it shouldn't be put on BioWare to cover everything single thing that might happen. If you really feel the need you can report players and then a GM will take action. It's unrealistic to demand a GM in every single general chat across every single server 24/7.
  7. Or parents can you know... enforce their own views on their own children by limiting their exposure to things that might upset them.... using the filters.... turn on the profanity filter. I mean you get laid in game.. in cutscenes... sure it doesn't show the act of getting laid, but it's implied that it happened. You are ok with your kids getting laid in a video game after killing countless citizens and creatures, but it isn't ok for them to see people talking about it? It's ok for your kids to talk to their companions with the purpose of getting laid.... but they can't see anything about it in chat? Yes the game is T for Teen... with the disclaimer also printed on the same box that Online Experiences may vary. Oh and before you judge me. I have a 7 year old son. If I don't want him to see something. He doesn't see it. It's simple.
  8. Again, my point is that even Trolling is not clearly defined. There are all kinds of topics that don't get closed by BioWare because no one reports them. The ones that get closed fast are usually flagged by users... same system that is used in-game. GM's will take action if people are flagged for abusing the system. I don't think there needs to be a GM baby sitting general chat for the off chance that something is in violation. Even then it's far easier to police a forum with select few channels as opposed to a server that has a general chat for every planet... every zone with each server being entirely different. Sounds like a lot of man power to monitor just so that people don't get offended.... hence why there are filters and an ignore list built into the game so you can police your own experience.
  9. So you're basically arguing for the sake of arguing... which is trolling... correct? To be clear. My point is general chat is general. You can talk about pretty much anything that doesn't violate TOS/EULA. If people are being annoying to you then it may not be annoying to everyone. In which case you need to take responsibility for yourself and use filters that were implemented in the game for a reason. I don't see why BioWare has to do anything drastic to deal with people you find annoying just because you don't want to read what they are talking about... especially if they are not in voilation of the terms.
  10. Clearly general chat is supposed to be general...which encompasses all things... even Jawas. I'm not sure if you knew this... but this is a Star Wars game. Jawas are actually in this game. It's game related and Star Wars related to talk about Jawas. Just because you find it offensive doesn't mean it actually is offensive to anyone else. Which is exactly my point on what is this "clearly defined" general chat regulation that you thought up? Because it's obviously not so clearly defined. Add to this. I understand that politics, religion and other very heated topics with clearly defined positions are off limits. Just like anything that shouldn't be discussed in front of kids... mature content. I just don't see how Jawas or Jawa movie titles alone is offensive. I can see the titles being offensive, but then it's not the Jawas that caused the problem...
  11. What are the rules and restrictions for general chat? How do they differ from any other in-game channel? If you are going to strictly regulate chat channels then are guild channels excluded? If so then why? Because if there is supposed to be some standard that is clearly defined then it should be upheld across all channels in the game, correct? Where is this fine line and how is BioWare supposed to realistically enforce this line without the aid of players reporting other players? Nothing is ever black and white. There are all kinds of grey inbetween and it's the grey part that people never agree on.
  12. Cover screen has everything to do with it since most of your defense abilities are tied to it, but I disagree with the nerf claims.
  13. I have a 29 commando and it's pretty fun. I also have a 41 powertech. If I didn't have the powertech I probably would have rolled a vanguard myself. Trooper animations are better than Bounty Hunter imo. Both ACs are good in their own right. Just depends if you want range or melee because in DPS spec even in heavy armor you are fairly squishy in PvP.
  14. Exactly what I was going to post. Haha, great song.
  15. Hmm, I have a life... yet I have have the characters in my sig. I also am at legacy level 25. I play barely 2 hours a night on the week days and roughly 6 hours (if i can... wife and kids allowing) a day on the weekend. Also it's not millions of credits for the perks. It's 275k for 1 full set of perks. That is 1 day of dailies to buy all five slots for the perks. How is that hard to do? People just want things for free without having to do anything to get them. The whole point of the legacy system is to give players something to keep them playing so they unlock more things that can help the quality of life in their game.
