Actually I've maxed out 2 of the skills and am close to another. I've also raised 2 others past 300 before giving them up out of frustration. For now I'll just collect mats and see if they fix the system.

I've spent more than 12 years playing MMORPGs and have enjoyed crafting in some capacity on every game I've tried. So I ask this as a serious question - What is the point of crafting in SWTOR? You don't get any better gear than what you can buy from vendors. You don't get gear that is specialized for some particular play style. You don't save money producing your own gear. And as far I as I can tell the complete crafting system is a money sink. I love the idea of having companions working for you while you are off enjoying the game. But at this point in the game I've stopped crafting just so I can save money for training and such. So what's the point?
