It's been more than 2 years since you posted this. And there are still no lightside or darkside tokens available. So your initial pessimism was well warranted!

I have opened 3 consecutive problem reports and haven't gotten a clear answer. So maybe someone here knows... Over a week ago I bought "Ghostly Magus Armor" set. I had a character put it on, and it's BOP. I look in the "Cartel Collections" and it never shows up there like other armor sets do so I can share it. Tech support says "It's in your legacy hold". I assume that's the orange Legacy Cargo hold on Fleet/Stronghold. I look in there and it's not there. So I complain and ask again, and they tell me the same thing, sort of, with "It's in the legacy hold of your character named ___ in slots 531-536." Now, as far as I know, the orange legacy hold isn't just for one character. So perhaps they meant my green normal cargo hold (it is in there). Now, if you search the Cartel, you won't find the "Ghostly Magus Armor." And some folks have said that it only is shown once a year and disappears. So my question is: is this armor special in that it will only BOP on one character and not make an entry in the Cartel Collections display?

On the USA server, I made a havoc squad character for RP who looks exactly like "Needles". Recently, I have been doing more activity on the European servers, so I tried to create the same character with the same class, but the cybernetic cosmetics are not like they were, and so "Needles" cannot be recreated. Not a big deal, but just a bit disappointing.
