  1. Majority of people doesn't raid yet, illum reaches out to far more players. EV has been bugged since weeks, you could easily clear the whole instance in ~45min if it wouldnt bug the **** out. Its pathetic that with each bug fix more bugs are emerging. Well, i am already unsubbed, but i bought the game for 3 months so:D
  2. Try remodding for surge/power, put up surge pot+ expertise buffs, you hit 6k on ppl with low gear, fairly easy. Otherwise it is around 3,5-5k. You do 300k+ normaly in a wz, you can only reach stats like 600k+ damage if the enemy team have tons of healers. Some ppl need to logic.
  3. Na, doing 800k damage with 50k protection in a wz is fine. DONT NERF MY TWINK :DDD Love 3x 6k railshots in a row:D
  4. # Nade 30 sec cd, 30 energy # Dart zero cd, 20 energy # weakening blast 15 sec cd, 10 energy # cull 9 second cd, 30 energy -- resilence cleans all dots, 60 second cd -- What you should do: - let the sniper apply all dots - if you get cull mark on your char, PRESS resilence - laugh at cull damage - if resilence is on CD, scream at your nearby grav/tracer missile spammer or operative/scoundrel and tell them to cleanse ------------- Sniper is mad since he wasted all energy and has to reg - Sniper goes to forum and complains about why the agent/smuggler has the worst energy regen mechanic in this game -- Sniper comes to the conclusion that inqui, of course, has the most easy mode class energy mechanic in this game, where almost no management is required - Sniper thinks the game is balanced -- CLEARY SNIPER IS OP
  5. It isnt flawed that is how progress works. Raid progross is just linked to the loot progress. As a raider you normaly need the best gear in order to clear the current hardest raid instance. This gear is normally dropped in the SAME instance. You should be able to clear the first bosses of the raid, with the gear you obtained in the previous raid instance- but not further. If you can clear the hardest raid instance with the gear from the previous instance, you must have either have the BEST players, which is not the case in swtor, or the difficulty is just off. There is no need for rakata or 136 gear, simply because YOU do not need it in order to clear the raids. You already outgear the raids with the first epic set. That is not how progress works, sorry. Some encounters are even based around gear checks, in other games. Just ask yourself the question. Why do hardmode raiders need the best gear? Yes, in order to CLEAR the hard modes. Problem is just, in swtor you don't need the best gear in order to clear the raids, since the regular gear is sufficient, cuz of the easy mode content. Your rakata gear is just worthless and not even worth the "prestige".
  6. Not like nightmare is considered MUCH harder than "hard" mode which is not even hard. There is no need for better gear, we cleared nm modes with fresh twinks in 50% green clear. PvE gear progression in this game is kinda obsolete, since you don't need very high dps/ or good players at all in order to beat any raid encounter. Once the raid encounters are properly tuned, maybe in the future, you will also need adequate gear to clear those. Right now, gear is not a huge factor in pve. Fact is if you can clear all the encounters with your current gear, you dont really need new gear.
  7. I bet GW2 will even have a higher retention, problem is just that tons of people are already and will most likely quit, swtor just shows that players are desperate. They want a serious alternative of wow. Swtor delivers an awesome SINGLE player experience up to 50, worth the buy, atleast for me. After that i am sorry, but wow is superior in every aspect, since all bioware did is basically copying gameplay from wow and add a voice to quests, THATS all. There is no innovation in swtor. Even rift did better in my opinion. Less buggy raid encounters, hard instances, ok raids. And a more stable pvp grind. Not to mention they got a combat log, macros, ui functions [..]
  8. Thats what normal mode is for? If they want to explore the instances and check out the story, normal mode is for you. If you are a progress oriented player who likes challenge that is nightmare mode. Problem is just that nightmare mode fails to deliver hard. I dont care for casuals, wow just got LFR tool for casuals. Normal mode should be tuned for casuals. Just tune the nightmare modes for progress raiders and everyone will be ok + combat log.
  9. Don't have to tell me, we came from world top 30 sunwell to sartharion, we beat him in one evening with quest gear 6 days after wotlk release. It was joke, after killing malygos and naxx we quitted as a guild, because the content was just a joke. However we came back to ulduar since that was quite hard.
  10. Even the WOTLK version of naxx was harder than the current "nightmare" modes of swtor. Seriously for a veteran raider this content is a laughable joke, just look at the pylon "boss". Why not just add a chest with free loot there and get over it, same as the fate encounter. Pathetic to even call these "raid encounters". Soa PRE "fix/nerf" was the ONLY encounter with a real boss feeling, all others are just pushover with mechanics for 7 year olds. Too bad after they fixed him, he also became a joke. Well, there is reason why my guild went from 35 active members to an 8 man only login once per week guild. Utterly boring gameplay and useless raiditems. You can clear the instances with green gear or just buy level 50 epics of the ah and go raiding. There is no USE for the hardmode flashpoints, you can easily skip content already. The whole PVE content is a huge demotivator for any progress raider. We did several empire first kills in nightmare mode, yet it feels like you have accomplished NOTHING at all, since the difficulty is just not there. Its sad. Even rift got it better, atleast rift had a freaking combat log, far LESS buggy raid encounters. And the rift encounters atleast needed a bit of skill, not to mention hammerknell is really hard, but thats the 3rd raid, so its pretty much out of reach for this discussion.
  11. Not kidding. But my guild is already like GONE. We started raiding 16 man, cleared several bosses EMPIRE realm first nightmare mode. But since 2-3 weeks no one logs in anymore. We decided that we will clear both instances 8 man mode ( since we no longer have enough players for 16) once a week until new content is release, so we gather once a week to raid for 2 hours and between that time no one is online. Why? Because the game is boring. You can content skip the hardmode flashpoints and just go into raiding for gear. We went nightmare with 3 green twinks and still cleared the instances pretty easy. Pure demotivation. Gear is meanigless in this game, since the encounters are made for brain deads IF they aren't buggy. I just hope bioware tunes the next raid instance right. Just make NIGHTMARE mode really a nightmare for the sake of progress and hardcore gamers. Casuals can have they easy mode story normal mode. No one will care, just throw the more competitive bunch a bone, since your pvp has failed hard to deliver that. Right now, there is no reason to pve, since you don't need the gear and the encounters can be cleared one with one arm. And don't get my started on the combat log. Most fun as a raider i had in rift/wow was just to compare dps with my fellow guildmates in order to form some kind of a friendly competitive enviroment which we could enjoy.
  12. And ppl scream at operative nerf:D
  13. You can basically say the same for high level arena pla. But from from my experience high rating arena> daoc. Sorry.
