its also important to remember that palpatine was on naboo when maul got cleaved in two, he was the senator for naboo and returned with padme, its very possible he did for maul what he did for vader and repaired his broken body, then exiled him for being a failure when he needed a more able bodied apprentice this begs the question why would sidious go out of his way to make his defeated apprentices into cyborgs, why not just kill them sidious did not really need anakin for anything, he wasnt trying to teach him the dark ways meant to keep those he cared about from dying as he promised, he just used vader as him thug to hunt down jedi and build a death ray to blow up whole worlds sidious seems like a fairly shallow character, if the sith are fueled by passion what is his>? we know he cared about maul, he was his favorite apprentice at least according to the books and comics which might explain why he spared him instead of killing him, perhaps he knew that letting that hatred fester in exile would make him vastly more powerful but how did anakin fit into any of it beyond being a sith enforcer>? did he serve simply as a source of genetic material and midichlorians for sidious to experiment with in order to create a new body from the will of the force or some such nonsense>?

idk i can buy the survival after all maul is not Human, he is zabrak twisted by dathomiri magic , sith alchemy and his own dark hatred, we dont know enough about Zabrak anatomy to determine his injuries were even fatal, or what kind of healing abilities he may have had, either through the dark side or innately due to all of the experiments that had been done on him, if they can explain the fall in a believable way like a contaminant was detected in the shaft and automated filtration droids removed and disposed of it in the theed sanitation system placing his damaged body in a twisted mass of garbage aboard a ship destined for what ever forsaken hell he ended up on. i for one am Really looking forward to him Challenging Dooku to attempt to regain his rightful place at sidious's side, there is soo much room for sith plotting and back stabbing here that it will be such a waste if he just hunts down kenobi and for a rematch and dies all over again

its one thing to levitate its another to slow your descent, you are already moving too fast to come to a complete stop unless you are super skilled maybe, plus remember the disorientation of falling you aren't sure which way is up which would make it very difficult to slow yourself down luke does manage to use the force to make himself fall sideways into the shaft, watch it he falls in an arc and ive seen anakin and ahsoka jump from like 100 feet up and slow themselves down enough to land softly, then use the force to catch rex before he went splat, but that is the cartoon idk how canon it is

so lucas has re-edited the original trilogy several times over the years particularly ANH in order to update it and there has been a lot of debate/controversy over some of the things like "Han Shot first!" ect. now ive heard rumors about them being redone in 3d which i find to be a very bad idea, imo i find 3d to be a cheap and i'll be honest tacky gimmick that doesn't work well and just hurts my eyes, but that is just me (prolly) what i would LOVE to see is a re-cut of the prequels (though i realize it will never happen) in all honesty they could easily be brought up to the equivalency of the OT with a few very simple changes such as 1. DUBBING OVER JAR JAR!!!! he can be just as awkward i dont care just give him an alien language so we dont have to be annoyed with him, everyone understands chewie and r2 lets do the same for jar jar 2. cutting out Jake lloyd's cheesy one liners "i know we're in trouble just hang on" and "try spinning thats a good trick" just let him be the quiet kid in the corner all sad and emo plotting his galactic domination 3. redub battledroids with beeps and boops like R2, they dont need a sense of humor let alone a bad one 4. cut out the scene of 3p0 becoming and battle droid, just dont even show him leaving the ship, R2 has to go cuz he saves padme from being cast into droid parts but 3p0 has no reason to be there 5. "I hATE them, They're animals and i sLAUghtered them like animals. And not just the men but the WOmen and the chILDren toOo..." need i say more>? in fact most of hayden's bad acting could be cut and just leave scenes of him looking angry that is really all i can think of, (maybe making yoda less bouncy in his dooku fight) i mean there are prolly thousands of examples but those would make the biggest impact, again i realize they will likely never do a re-edit but nothing (except copyright laws) are stopping a fan edit so what might you change>?

i think midichorians were retconned somewhere to be indicators of the force sensitivity not providers of it, the same way a parasite feeds off nutrients they simply feed on the force you can feel a tapeworm inside you that doesnt mean it gives you the ability to feel

it had its quarks but if you wanted a good sized community to play star wars with it was a lot of fun, i played for 6 years i want to watch the video but i wont cuz the nostalgia will depress me luckly most of my old guild is playing tor, i just need to find them lol
