  1. It's hard for me to fathom that it's been 8 long years since that wonderful day . But , all I know is that SW:TOR has been the Blessing , the true & loyal 'Friend' that this Fully Disabled U.S. Air Force Combat Veteran needed back in late 2011 and early 2012. It's helped me to meet people , to socialize & fantasize about being someone , somewhere else that stuck in the harsh reality that I am in . I know that I'm grateful to still be alive , thankful for every, single day that I'm given but my " Reality " is not an easy one nor is it for lesser Men / Beings . I know that I've become weaker in some ways , but so much stronger in others that I'm grateful for the Journey that Fate / Life has put me on. And SW:TOR has helped me to adjust & continue on that path , on that journey so very , very well. So , here is to all the Family & Friends that I knew , that I've known & that I will meet someday here on SW:TOR . For all the Players , Guilds, Role Play Partners & Raiders that I've known & will know as I continue down this lovely cobbled path that is Star Wars : My Old Republic . And I pray that everyone out there gets as much out of this game , the Fun , the excitement , the enjoyment , friendship , comradire & companionship that I've felt & always feel every single day I play on SW:TOR . And to those that help make this game , this lovely Space Opera "Reality" , just a heartfelt "Thank you so very, very much" , from the bottom of my heart. Because of you , my world , my life , My Pain is a whole lot more tolerable , manageable & liveable . So , thank you once again from me to you. Truly . TheSirStrazzen
  2. Really ?? You truly want OP Min-Maxer's ?? {{ I'm guessing that you are one, yes ?? }} For my 2 credits worth, 'No Thank You ' Yes, it may be streamlined, yes you can't do 'Hybrids' hardly at all. But there is a reason for that. It's called "Min--Maxing just for Bigger Number Crunches" , which most if not, well , just most PvP'ers are along with hardcore Raiders. For the other majority of Casual players who don't over think the game , the numbers and the statistics , we just want a Game that is fun , and entertaining. I don't need to have to worry about 'Keeping Up With the Jone's' {{PvP'ers , Hardcore Raiders, etc...}} and watch every single number combination, OP Min--Maxing & Number Crunchers. It just gets old , fast. Very Fast. Thanks , The Sir Strazzen
  3. To answer Question # 1 -- No , you won't see the "Star Map" that was visited by the Sith Lords Revan & Malak after they were sent to attack the Republic by Emperor Vitiate. Mainly because that 'Star Map' is on Korriban, not Dantooine. And it is something you can see in game in SW:TOR , but only of you make a new Sith Inquisitor / these days you need to make either the Sith Assassin or Sorcerer since they are the "Advanced Classes" for Sith Inquisitor. And once you get to the point where you are being sent out for your final test on Korriban, the one that has you pitted again Acolyte Foun ((the Pure Blood student)) , the 'Star Map' is in a room out from the Chamber where you 'Release' Khem Val from . I believe as you get past the big 'Rock' that;s blocking your way -- the one you have to have Khem Val "Force Push" on so it breaks apart and is not longer an obstacle . After going through that little hole he makes for you two there is a chamber with some Shyrak ((I think ?)) , and then to the right down another hallway should be a chamber with the 'Star map' , but also it has a Terentetek (( Sith Beast)) in it as well. Hope I remembered everything & was able to describe it well enough. Let me know if I'm was wrong somewhere with my memory and instructions. Thanks. The second question is a definite 'Yes, possibly?' , because indeed the "Kinrath Spider Tunnels & Caves" were indeed on Dantooine in both SW: KotoR 1 & 2 . And those Spiders were & are very resilient and very prolific at breeding and doing it rapidly and massively as well. So indeed let Us Hope & Pray that the writers, Dev's & Art team have worked on and prepared yet another installment "Force Sensitive Natural Rock & Crystal Area with Lovely Kinrath Spiders to dance & play with" . And don't forget in KotoR # 2 the Twi'lek Merc who also was a Amatuer Spelunker & Archeologist who had figured out that the Kinrath detect & "Know" one another via a 'Scent Gland' that can be removed if properly cut out carefully with a surgically sharp knife , skill & patience. And then you can hold the gland and 'Mimic' being a Kinrath since you now "Smell" like one
  4. Ok, This is nice , and I'm glad for all the replies that spell out the exact order of things . What I truly want to know is , what are the actual 'Galactic Years ; I.E. - is it 3861 B.B.Y. for Knights of the Fallen , or 3911 B.B.Y. ?? I want to know j=not just the order of the SW:TOR chapters , I'd like to know what Galactic Years they occur in as well so that I can make my Role Play , my characters Back Stories just a little bit better and more believable . If anyone can help with this then I would be most grateful . Thanks so much for any who have Info. I do appreciate it. The Sir Strazzen
  5. It's not just GSF , but PvP in general . Unless you are in a PvP focused Guild , or have enough friends to routinely make Pre-Made WZ groups you are going to feel like "This is so Unfair!" . Newbie's come in, que Solo , does not matter if it is low, mid, or End Game WZ's , as a Solo PvP'r you get put in PuG's with others who mostly are just killing time , or farming WZ's so they can finish a Daily , or Weekly , or so they can get Conquest points or something. Then , you see other's who are obviously in Pre-Made teams, groups , and you think "Man , we don't ever stand a chance against players / groups like that" , and most get discouraged and stop Queuing , or if they really want to PvP they go and Find a Guild /Friends to help them. Hopefully this is the outcome. But , some just get fed up of getting Steam Rolled over & over and just stop doing WZ' s all together ( this was me ). I mean, you hear the winning team's brag about how good they are and you just have to say "Sure, we'd kick you're but's if you were the PuG's, and we had a Pre-made team" . But, that ends up just feeding the Trolls , and frustrat'es you even more. I've found (In SW:TOR at least) that 97%+ of the PvP players that I meet / fight against in typical WZ's , I have next to nothing in common with them and would want nothing to do with them , outside of War Zones. I'd not be "Their Friend" , and most are just arrogant, Self-Absorbed, Salty Dikwad's that love to brag about how great they are , when in reality it's not how good they are , but how bad the opposing team is. And , it's that way in WZ's , Free Form World PvP , and GSF . It's also why , when I started out and moved over to World of Warcraft for Legion's launch that I refused to do PvP at all . I figured "I've seen this show before. No sense in trying something that I know is just going to end up failing" . I figured , if PvP is like that in SW:TOR , it is probably very, very similar in other MMO's like SW:TOR , and since SW:TOR is basically a WoW clone , safe to say PvP is going to be very similar as well. Same with Elder Scrolls Online , and other MMO's I've tried. Figured , Don't need to go there , I know how things will end up . Now , I'm not 100% sure how things really would be if I did WoW Battle Grounds , or Open World PvP in ESO , but I'm scared enough from SW:TOR crappy PvP that I don;t even want to try any other now. Just not worth the effort in my mind. And so yes , we all can agree : GSF is broken. Has been for some time . And , IMO , PvP sucks in general , in SW:TOR . All forms of it , GSF , WZ's , and Open World. Too many Salty, T-Bagging Dikwad's , not enough Elder Players that are willing to take a Newbie under their wing and show them "How it's Done" . Sad , but true.
  6. I do not know why we even bother to "Discuss" this stuff they put out there. ?? The Dev's & Writers seem to delight in giving us the "Illusion" of caring , when it's obvious that they could give a damn about what we think & what we want. I mean , seriously , 2 1/2 to 3 years + and we have , what ? A Raid ? Uprisings ? Give me a break. One word to go with this thought : ' Legion ' . What EA has done over the past 2-3 years , Blizzard has done 10 fold if not more. Don't get me wrong , I love both games , but Blizz does far more & listens far better than BW & EA ever hope to try and do . But , who am I but 1 player , who's been here since 'Founder' times ? Just things make me sad : Uprisings bore me , Galactic Command bores me , all this grindy stuff bores me. Please , oh please move the base class stories along. I'd love to see how & where the Imperial Agent ends up after they leave the Empire "Officially" , and work outside the lines. Or , where the Smuggler ends up After their shenanigans with 'The Iron Wolf' & Rogun the Butcher.? Oh well , guess I'm too invested & too bored to "Eject" from this falling brick of a Starship. LoL S
  7. 'Frustrating' is nowhere near strong enough for the emotions this kind of stuff generates. "Down Right Aggravatingly Offensive" is a bit better. I hate the fact that every, EVERY SINGLE SOLITARY NEW PATCH LIKE THIS ALWAYS HAS A MAJOR BUG !! Seriously folks , who are these programmers and why are they still employed ?? And who is the Q & A people , because they always drop the ball as well. . Guess all I can do is go on Steam and play KotoR till this is fixed. Sad.
  8. Amen to this. I've player GSF once , only once on 1 character. And was totally lost, had no clue how to do anything, and had no real way even within the tutorials to explain/understand how to do things within GSF. Maybe I'm just blind, but being the IRL son of a High School English teacher, I can read, I can follow instructions, & I can listen to others trying to help via chat. But this was a major, complete, total & utter disappointment. Pancho was being nice when he said "Nice Try" , this was not even a Nice Try. It is a dismal failure. Here is hoping for it to be fixed , fast.
  9. I have to agree with Viyk . I play on both sides, but I RP 90% on the Imperial side. Mainly because it seems to be much more active on the side of The Empire rather than the Republic. Not to say there aren't some great Role Players in the Republic, but as a whole the Empire is much more active, both random RP and pre-planned RP events . I do not know why this is, but it is. I RP my Legacy family of characters mostly , 2 sets of male/female twins , the boy's both Sith (Assassin & Juggernaut) and the girl's both shooters ( Sniper & Vanguard ) . I have been toying with the Idea of a RP guild, hopefully having a presence on both sides of the conflict . Having a guild motive of gently modifying both sets of government with an invisible hand moving things to better our power & presence. If you want , whisper to me IC here on the Hawk. Be Well. 10. In my 1 word : Wrong . Like was said earlier , this is a "Role Playing" server type . Therefore RP can happen anywhere, anytime. If your RP message gets lost in the clutter of GC , then that is your problem for using GC for RP . Personally , I never use GC for RP messages . I either use "Say" or /e "message" , or I whisper it to the person. That way my message does not get lost in the shuffle. I feel if we are taking the time & effort to RP I want it to show up where my Role Playing partner can see it and read it. The only thing RP-wise that would be a No-no is ERP, or Adult chat as I call it. If you are in a Romantic, intimate situation with another player ,for God's sake get a room (group) . I do not need to hear what you are doing and where you are sticking her Lekku at. Personally I tend to stay away from this if I can, unless it makes complete character story sense. Then even I will use the old Hollywood trick of "He holds her, their eyes meet, they Kiss (Fade to Black) " . That way we understand that our characters had an intimate , romantic episode, but we don't waste time having to describe every thrust, tug, bite, and kiss our characters do with each other. For me it is just personal preference. But there again , something like that just does not belong in General Chat considering 13 yr old+ are possible players in this game. Anyway , just my 2 credits worth. Be well people. Strazzen / The Wright Legacy
  11. I feel the same way, but my love was the hound. I had characters on every RP server , East & West coast, even 1 each on Progenitor & Gav , but my Love was the community on Kath Hound. I can count the number of times I was trolled on 1 hand and have fingers left over . The players there were so friendly , so helpful especially to this brand new to MMO's player way back when. I did not start till St. Patricks Day (made Founder by 2 days LoL:p), but I was on Kath Hound more than long enough to learn how to play SWTOR right and be a good team player. Now, so many it is about the I / Me , and not the Team anymore. I still only PvP 2 times a day for the Daily mission because too many other players take it way too serious and are total jerks to anyone that is new or not a dedicated, die-hard PvP player. :confused:I miss my doggie. Kath Hound & Rancor Guild Forever . Gone , but never forgotten. On a side note. I have seen Boxxy as her(?) female human Sorceress on occasion. Usually late at night / early in the morning, within the last 10 days at the most . Always catches my eye with the:p slave girl top on and the funky female formal hat. The others I have not seen nor heard from . Also Rancor guild moved over and became "The Chosen None" with Zephrus & Marvell still leading. Then we merged with "The Lost Order" and I truly feel lost since I no longer feel like I'm part of what I joined 8 months ago. Just is not Rancor anymore. Oh well, such is life . Be well to all. 12. Yes, thank you , all of you. First for the Question , then for the thoughtful and thorough answers. I have found , being on the Hawk now for over 9 months, that most Cantina RP tends to be either 1 of 3 types. Either , A> Is a guild gathering of 2-7 players that are elitist scum that think anyone else trying to join is a noob B> Is a Drama King / Queen who wants to be the center of attention and demands it by God-Modding (Having Divine like or impossible powers/abilities) , or just generally being a Donkey's Butt , or C> Conversations beginning with "You come here often?" and ending with "We can go back to my Captains Cabin on my ship ? (This is a classic sign of Adult Chat about to take place. Also called ERP) . The first 2 are nowhere near as common as the last one , but happen often enough that I had to mention them. I too played D&D for years (Well, decades actually) and a whole list of other RPG's, both Table Top & Game Console/Computer. I also want from this game more than just the basic storyline and game mechanics . I figure since I pay 6 months at a time and have no plans to take advantage of Free to Play, I'm here for the Long Haul. I had wanted to start my own guild with some friends and others that had similar ideas , wants, and needs . Main thing was we all wanted to have mission-like "Stories within a Story" . Like was mentioned earlier , a guild and it's GM Setting up a scenario for a group of Troopers / SIth (whatever) and then monitoring it to see if they accomplish their separate task. But like anyone else , I do not wish to Reinvent the wheel. If a guild already exists that does this kind of thing on a very regular basis (2/week+) then I would just want to join said guild and integrate myself and my friends within their structure. I know some of my friends are enamoured with the idea of a new guild that is "Our Own Guild", but I also know from other friends just how hard it is to be a Guild Master and how much work it is as well. I'm a disabled Veteran , so I do have a lot , and I mean a lot of free time. But I also have spells where the pain gets so bad I'm down & out for days at a time as well. So now my questions are simple. 1> Is there / Is your guilds set up like that where you do Guild sponsored side missions /guild missions at least twice a week or more (not counting the nar Shaddaa thing) ?? If not, have you heard / Do you know of any guild , Imperial or Republic that does this ?? I heard the guild called "The Faceless" does do something like this on a very regular basis , but I have not been able to find any of them. I also know that the guild on the Republic side "The Lost Order" is a great guild, bit is focused on PvE , & FP / Op's, mostly the Op's . Especially the Hard Mode Op's and various Flash Points . There is very little if not absolutely no RP in this guild ( if there is any , I have not seen it in 8 months) . 2> If your guilds do not do this , or that often, or if your guilds are not present on both sides of the conflict , would you be willing to help / assist a new Guild Master in getting things up & running ? We / I have the 600k for an initial Guild Bank Vault already saved, but I do not know what the 2nd vault costs. Nor do I know how to set up Vent / Team Speak or a guild web page. I have a buddy would works for a living in IT & Networking , but hate to ask him for his help if it is simple enough that I could do it myself. 3> Even if you have nothing to offer for the first 2 questions , would your guilds be willing to have / host cross guild / cross faction events. ?? Like a team of Operatives & snipers going into Tatooine or Nar Shaddaa and do 'Long Range Recon-Surveillance" of a Republic target ? ? Something where another player would play the part of "The Target" and the GM would watch & judge how things go . I have not only played RPG 's for decades, I have Game Mastered them as well, since I was a teen-ager many moons ago. Any other ideas / suggestions / thoughts are always welcome and appreciated . Feel free to message me ingame via whisper , or Mail to any of my main characters of my legacy. Thanks for your time and Be Well . Strazzen / Reada / Vil'leah / Jiin'do Wright The Wright Legacy
  13. The last few posts have pointed out several items that I would like to piece together and maybe bring light to some of you . I understand that a lot of people, like the player in the previous post , are not happy with the rewards and see no reason to do the event because said rewards "are not good enough to replace what I already have." . This , to me, is a classic MMO player and not a true, dyed in the wool SW fan from days gone past. This player obviously feels the only reason to do anything in game is so that he can get better gear , or stats, or something for his character rather than just the sheer enjoyment of being able to accomplish the event , at least once , and say to yourself "I'm done." . A lot of players like this , IMHO , are ones who hope from MMO to new MMO looking for that next big hit, that next big high that will make them feel like they did when they played in their 1st MMO years ago. Nothing will ever truly please them , so they will always complain . A few posts before that the player wrote, correctly in my honest opinion , that players who were complaining already only on day 1 were expecting way too much out of BW / EA for the first 24 hours of a Galactic wide event . He was correct in pointing out that BW may put in different rewards at different times in the event and they may change or pull the original rewards to replace with new. There again , this is the difference between mature, life long Star Wars fans , and immature MMO game hoppers who are only looking for their next fix. Me personally , I just got out of the hospital from yet another skin graft surgery (#30 in 13+ years post trauma) and I'm looking forward to the 1st galactic wide event in almost 6 months . I started in the middle of the Rakghoul outbreak and even though I was nowhere near the level I needed to be to complete it (I still have it in my mission log on my Sentinal) I had a guild mate at lvl 50 guide me through some of the initial parts just so I could experience it in just a small way . Why you may ask ?? Because I was 11 when SW:ANH changed everything forever with regards to Sci-Fi & movies. I had already seen a similar change earlier in my life when Armstrong landed on the moon and Star Trek was on public network TV . And I still have that sense of "Wow, that is cool." with regards to games, computers, Sci-Fi, & MMO's . I will never grow tired of trying something new , something I have never done before, and something that looks like it could be enjoyable, especially with friends along . I realize that I'm old school, old fashioned, and out dated in a lot of ways. But , personally, I feel to each his own . BW is going to look at the complaints, praise, haters & lovers and take from this what they need to do next. And for me , my only complaint is this : This event should have happened sooner. Twice a year is not often enough for me as a player for events like this. Once a quarter would be better or every 4 months good, but I do not have any real idea what it takes to put together, from a artist / design stand point, so maybe twice a year is all that is possible or practical. Who knows. I want more things like this so it keeps the game flowing and fresh rather than let it get stale. SW lovers are going to stick by TOR no matter what , and MMO hoppers are going to move on to whatever is next (GW2?) no matter what . We just need to find more players who can enjoy the game and fall in love with Star Wars like I / We have all those years ago (Aug., 1977 for me) . Remember, there is no light , there is no dark, there is only the Force
