  1. Server: The Shadowlands Class: Sith Sorc Questline: It's been over a year, so I don't remember. Somewhere around where you first meet Ashara on Taris Character name: Koalette Ticket Number: #22932972 Ticket Opened: 1/14/2016 Ticket Last Updated: 1/14/2016 I don't even care if I have to restart Taris over again. But I just resubbed, and by the look of this thread there's no help, and the best suggestion is to "reroll". I'm not going to do that, if the customer service is as bad as it seems(a 3 month old bug still existing and barely acknowledged) then I'll just leave again for good.
  2. You did purchase the expansion. Tell me where they said they're taking it away. If they took it away you'd get compensation, you bought it a while ago so you don't get your price protection. Go in game and tell me your /played time and tell me if it was worth $10 for you. If not then quit, if however many hours is there was worth more than $10 then why are you complaining? You will not get compensation because you complain. Your compensation is getting to play the game for the last 6 months. THAT IS WHAT YOU PAID FOR. That's it, nothing else. Why can't you understand that?
  3. I'm still waiting on it, they told me if I defended them I'd be compensated! But no, I should stop talking like this or he might believe it. Not aimed at anyone in particular but: Okay, lets say someone preordered the game 6 months ago. You play at a minimum of 7 hours a week every week(Just hypothetically, most people play more probably). That's nearly 200 hours of fun for $10. Was that really worth so little to you that you have to come on the forums and complain that someone might have fun now for free(Free+subscription fee)? Or is everyone's main problem that someone else is getting free coins and you're not? Yes to the first one: You want to have fun and you're jealous that someone may have fun and not pay the $10 you did, SIX months ago. Yes to the second: You have a sense of entitlement So you want EA to tell you that they love you, and have a one night stand with you and cuddle afterwards? That's weird man, good luck with that though...
  4. I actually insulted that other person for calling me a moocher and I've told you that you're illiterate and can't comprehend critical thinking. I didn't think you actually believed I was an employee though, take off the tinfoil hat, man. Just because I don't get emotional about a game doesn't mean I'm an employee of the company, it just means I'm not 14. Like really? Is $10 a lot for someone for 6 months of gameplay? You had 6 months of entertainment, for a measly $10. Why is this even something to complain about?
  5. I never said I won't continue to respond to you, that comprehension is a real game killer though, huh? Why do you think everyone that disagrees with you works for EA/Bioware? You were asked this about 20 pages ago.
  6. If you aren't paying for netflix then you're f2p and don't get the movie.
  7. This is the guy I feel bad for, people that were just on the cusp of the deadline for coins. The ones that may not have gotten their money's worth just yet, but still no coins.
  8. [Citation Needed] We've discussed this, your hypothetical situations and conjecture don't mean anything. Do you think you're the only person that thought of this, like everyone at EA and Bioware didn't think out possible scenarios like this? People will buy the expansion, but they wouldn't buy it if they didn't have RotHC. Let me get this straight, you're illiterate? Where did I say I was f2p? This isn't my first MMO and definitely not my first EA MMO. I'm not going to bother reading the rest of that or responding, whats the point of responding to someone that can't comprehend? Explanation of the coins since you're a little slow on reading you're probably only on page 4 of this thread: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Price_adjustment_(retail)
  9. My sides are in orbit. Please, stop. It's too much. "If someone got something I didn't I would be mad". Guys, I swear, I don't have a sense of entitlement! Really though, what's your argument? I destroyed your last example with a wikipedia link. Is it really just "I bought something 6 months ago, enjoyed it now someone else might enjoy it for free"? Because that's not an argument, that's more like you're spoiled. Also again: How am I a moocher? Because I started playing 3 weeks ago and EA decided to give me something for free? So everyone that gets gifts is a moocher. I bet you're a real joy at Christmas
  10. Nothing blew up in their face. This will blow over in a week and no one will care. I think by common sense you mean "the approach that would benefit me" I need to lrn2business yet I'm not the one who doesn't understand price protection? You realize when you bought it you forfeited that money, you don't get to decide on what business decisions they make with your money. You don't get to decide if they want to give it up for free. If you don't like it become a stockholder in EA. Otherwise you're nothing more than a customer. Why don't you respond to anything else? Realized I destroyed your example that was built on nothing more than rotting wood?
  11. People buying the expansion didn't pay for it. Money was being spent on the expansion long before it was announced. You don't own the licensing to RotHC because you bought the game. To the example you presented: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Price_adjustment_(retail) DURR
  12. TBH the only people I feel bad for are those that missed the cutoff date for the coins within a week. They must really feel bad, but if they extended it a week the people the week before that would feel bad too. So I suppose it has to be cut off somewhere. Imagine if you purchased it 3:59pm GMT on august 11th, missed out on 1050 coins by 1 minute!
  13. Find me someone that has waited 6 months of paying and playing that benefits from this with proof. If not your conjecture of having the option to not buy it is kind of a moot point. No one forced you to buy it, you bought it because you wanted the content. If you've played for the last 6 months then you got what you paid for. Your $10 fee is solely to access the content at time of purchase. Not for anything else. You aren't paying for me, my subscription pays for me. My purchase of cartel coins also pays for me. This isn't a socialist game model, there's no such thing. Where do you get t his "vastly less" amount some? Do you think EA's and Bioware's marketers and businessmen didn't consider this? Do you have a time machine? You're using hypothetical people and situations to strengthen your argument. You do realize this game is getting close to non-profitable for EA, right? Would you rather them do nothing and let it die or give out a $10(Which is like an hour of work) expansion from 6 months ago for free to people already paying? Why do you care if I'm getting something for free? Or is it that you care that someone is getting something you aren't/didn't get? This isn't the first time an MMO has done this, this isn't my first MMO. Expansions are made cheaper/free to make way for a new content release(see: new expansion). This content will be obsolete in the coming months and I'll be level 55 and I WILL buy the new expansion on release if I'm still enjoying the game. What I won't do is complain 6 months from then if its free. So everyone is objective in their own sense except who? The people that made this decision, they've run the numbers, they've probably done test groups, they know what they need to do to make this game stay profitable(something its had trouble keeping at). Also how am I raging? I'm pretty coherent and leaving muh feelinz out of this.
  14. A more minuscule amount than you believe will. Who's going to play stale old content for 6 months when they see others enjoying new stuff? Not many. I've asked this once before, can you find me people that have been playing/paying for 6 months without the expansion that are benefiting from this? I doubt you can find me more than 1 with proof. I get to repeat myself again for someone that doesn't want to read or think critically. You've had 6 months, you paid for content that you got access to and you did get access to it and will continue to. They get their $10 back because it would be a bait and switch for EA/Bioware to make it free when you just purchased it. You're not getting a title as compensation, you got RotHC as compensation for your $10. You get a title because they appreciate you playing the game they worked on, which you must have because you clearly have the expansion and are still paying a subscription. Correct?
