  1. What I am really curious about getting are some Gunnar Glasses. Does anyone have experience with the product and are willing/able to give an accurate review of them? My wife has eye strain issues and I was thinking of getting her a pair first to test them out, just not sure if I should actually shell out the extra $80-100 for a higher end pair. Basically I am sure the eye strain relief is reliable but that isn't my problem personally. Do they actually make a discernable difference in graphics quality and gameplay enhancement? Also are you getting a markedly better product for the better models? Thank you very much in advance for any helpful replies or input.
  2. I have never used a gaming keyboard but I would absolutely suggest getting a Naga (or similar mouse). I got one for Christmas and now have no idea how I have played MMO's for the last ten years without one, best $80 you can spend to improve both the gameplay experience and maximize your own abilities. I have always been a very good MMO player and it totally changed how I approach playing the game. You can also bind a shift and/or control click to each button as well through the games basic UI and have 17,34 or even 51 hotkeys at the disposal of your mouse and thumb. It really makes me not notice the subpar UI because I do all my customization through the mouse now.
  3. ...that he killed because she was the only thing he loved, he did not want the weakness or vulnerability that came with her. Pretty cool guy in my book.
  4. I assume (key word there) that they are referring to raid drops to solve the problem they brought up specifically of having guilds farm the early bosses in an Operation then yank the mods. That should not effect crafted or otherwise obtained mods. I am real happy about this news though because I thought modding was a great idea and was disappointed by the changes to the system during development. Hopefully this makes it into game fairly quickly.
  5. I loved PVP in WoW until they started the cross-server BS, then I barely ever played it again. I love PVP in this game and play it quite frequently but I will stop entirely if they ever implement this awful idea. I queue solo for the most part and get stuck against premades as well but that is part of the game.
  6. If you have 3+ enemies on you start trying to pass around 50%. With the plethora of stuns you will often be hardpressed to get the pass off before they burn you down, that is speaking as a tank with a couple pieces of PVP gear so you may want to adjust accordingly for your toon. It also depends on your group and how much they actually support the ballcarrier with healing and stunning/killing the other team. Also figure out what is a wasted pass (receiver wise) and what isn't. Even if you queue solo for the most part you learn who the good players are on your server and who you can trust. You will also learn who immediately runs off a ledge into the pit or towards their own goal and other stupid stuff, some people are also good players they just don't want to run the ball for whatever reasons. Also actually use the chat, the one thing every fail group I am unfortunate to draw has in common is they don't communicate even basically.
  7. The only complaint I have at all is the lack of communication regarding individual access times. It would have saved a lot of the drama that went down today if people weren't sitting expectantly at their computers. Even though I knew I wasn't getting in today (should be right in the middle of the pack based on sales numbers and dates) there was still that small glimmer of hope they would really push it hard and have most of us in by evening. When they posted they were stopping waves that kind of irked me. Otherwise they are doing a solid job and have adjusted the plans quite extensively to add EA time in response to people that didn't read the fine print. BioWare has done a great job in responding to fan and tester feedback from everything I have seen and are catching a ton of undeserved criticism and rage. The truth is that the uproar by the people stuck at the gate looking in is proof that this game is launching as a quality product, almost anybody that wanted to has had a chance to play the game and they can't wait to get logged in permanently. I am not a computer or tech guy by any means and won't claim to know anything more than the most basic processes of how the internet and servers work. I will take BioWare's word that this launch plan will enhance the short and long term quality of the servers, in both seeding population and loading the servers properly. This game has launch numbers unlike any MMORPG before and they are handling it smoothly, no matter antsy any of us feel (and I am) or how slow the clock moves.
