  1. I'll happily answer questions in gen chat if I see them and know the answer and have time. Yep, this. And it also applies to the real world. If whoever the appropriate authorities are don't act to protect people when they should, all you can do is avoid people.
  2. My Nautolans still have crap on their faces. No option not to.
  3. I can make a male which looks ok during most cutscenes, but when I look at him from the side out in the world, the dirty great big poo streaks up the side of his face are impossible to love.
  4. I'm not, cos I don't want crap on my face. But you can't make a Nautolan character without crap on your face.
  5. Merely the fact that Bioware don't offer any means to request a refund is illegal and grounds for hefty fines. https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2018/04/20/australia-fines-valve-over-steam-refunds/ I am legally entitled to a refund will do an entirely legal chargeback if that's my only available avenue. Bioware might ban my account, but that might also be illegal and get them in even hotter water.
  6. I have, and I probably should have but forgot to bug rep it in game. It was while trying to preview something in the collections UI. Instead of said item appearing in the preview window I got a big green ball around me. I can't remember what it was. Possibly her outfit or weapon?
  7. That's what I've heard people say in game.
  8. For what it's worth, I live in Australia. It was our consumer watchdog who took Steam to the High Court and forced them to implement a refund policy.
  9. Yes I know they'll probably ignore me but as I said, there is literally no way to request a fix or refund from them other than this. None. Yes I can do a chargeback if I've played the game some. Because after many years of ignoring the game, I only started playing again because of Nautolans and in preparation thereof. That is the sole reason. No I wasn't stealing from them. Super not. During the time I've been subbed, I've just been grinding away flashpoints for influence and doing dailies for credits. I was saving the story and even crafting for my Nautolans. Yes I know they might nuke my account. No I don't care. Like I said, I only started playing again because of Nautolans and it's not possible to properly enjoy them because of this stupid and very bizarre problem. Not being able to make a character you like the look of is a huge problem - especially when it's only for the lack of something basic like a clear complexion, which EVERY other race has and which any reasonable player would expect them to have. The lack of clear complexion is either incredibly stupid or incredibly devious, i.e. they'll add it to the cartel market and charge players extra for that and to apply it to their characters. I do not want to play a game run by such people or support them with my money. My account being nuked would see a slightly significant amount of my time and effort go down the drain, but better that than just accepting being royally ripped off. Togruta and Twi'lek also have problems, but each are different. Twi'lek have epic clipping problems, especially for 3 of the 8 advanced classes, making them a very inferior choice for any of them. That sucks hard. I'm glad I'm not into them. Togruta from the outside looks like an epic disagreement between the developer and Disney. Male NPC Togruta look like we'd expect and their appearance would have required approval from the rightsholder, which back then would have been Lucas. That makes SWTOR male NPC Togruta appearance official and canon. Player male Togruta have a completely different and vastly inferior appearance. Supposedly this is because of the Clone Wars ep which aired after SWTOR and its Togruta launched. Very obviously, SWTOR hasn't altered the appearance of its male Togruta NPCs to match player ones. While that would require a little bit of work, it wouldn't be a huge amount because there aren't that many of them. So it seems like Bioware has been forced to implement craptastic male player Togruta and are exercising their legal right - by virtue of them having been approved by the previous rightsholder - to keep the existing appearance of male Togruta NPCs. Yeah I know. I expect bastardy like that in response to exercising legal rights. I have suffered that before. Though to be fair, not from game developers. I've made external complaints against both PWE and Zenimax for illegal things they were doing in their online games. PWE's community manager tried bullying me in their forums and some other shady ****, but they've never screwed with my account or characters or anything like that. Neither has Zenimax. And in both cases they made changes to their games to make them comply with the law. Also for what it's worth all I have invested in SWTOR is a bit of money from having subbed a few times and prior to subbing in preparation for Nautolans, my highest level character was only about level 20. I vaguely recall making an EA account but don't use it and don't think I've ever bought anything with it. A good and fair warning to make, but I am prepared and have next to nothing to lose.
  10. Yeah I wasn't taking a shot at you. Yeah they look just awful from the sides. We can only assume that their devious plan was to trick players into buying them, with the lack of a clear complexion option making it night impossible to be happy with their appearance. Then they'll add clear complexion to the cartel market AND charge players more again to apply the clear complexion to their characters.
  11. Lie. Every other race has a clear complexion option and it's not even obvious that Nautolans don't from the front. It's only when you look at yourself from the side that you see the great big ugly streaks on your face. This is fundamentally broken and if we don't very soon get a fix, I will both do a chargeback and complain to the FTC. I have complained to them before about similarly shonky problems in other games and lo and while they didn't prosecute those complaints, the developers did end up changing their games to make them legal.
  12. FYI for anyone else unhappy about this: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=9778237 They certainly don't have three brains.
  13. Not really. There's a subset of helmets they can wear. Some totally unbelievably make their lekku simply disappear. Others allow their lekku to poke through. Many helmets can't be worn. Twi'leks have human sized and proportioned heads. Togruta and Nautolans don't. Allowing them to wear existing masks would mean you'd lose most of all masks to clipping, which would look dreadful. It would suck not only for you but every player who has to see you, which would mean loss of revenue. Every single helmet is an individual graphic, with versions for each of the different sized heads possible in the game. Altering those to work for Nautolans or Togruta would be a lot of work. And it would triple the workload of their graphics team going forward if they had to develop everything for the non-humanoid heads. I'm into Nautolans and would love the option to flip a hood over their head. But I don't need it and can appreciate why they haven't given it to us.
  14. I hate to be go all ultimatum on anyone, but I've been trying for days to make a Nautolan I'm completely happy with and can't. Simply for the lack of the basic, clear complexion option. Seriously. Every other race has it. It's perfectly reasonable to expect Nautolans to as well. I've tried really hard and at best can mitigate the ugliness of what's available. Sucks for me since I've also spent a lot of time grinding away for credits to buy stuff in preparation for Nautolans, but I may just have to write that off. I'll be requesting not only the money I paid for the subscription to get the Nautolan race, but also the cartel coins I purchased to buy things in preparation for Nautolans. Because I certainly would not have bought those otherwise. My preference would be you fixing this, but you haven't even commented on this big and obvious problem so I don't think it's safe to keep playing and expect that you will fix it. I'm happy with Nautolans otherwise. They're not completely perfect but there's much less clipping and weirdness than Twi'leks have to suffer. I don't love the particular tones of green on offer but the other skin tones are nice and I could be content with them.
