  1. Okay, why would they leave? They could just stand around, that would be more effective
  2. Game designers need to stop using stealthmechanics with powerful openers in their games. It just does not work most of the time. If they are balanced or overpowered, they kill people because they get the opener and the element of surprise, and should go 50:50 if they do not get the opener. People complain, naturally. What happens next? The burst damage gets reduced, openers get nerfed, damage spikes go down. Eventually they will be balanced when they jump you, but will be underpowered when they dont begin the fight. It cannot really be balanced without removing openers. I would be surprised if this would not happen in this game. Personally, i reserve judgment until i can play this game without ability lag and with more than 15-20 fps in warzones. At the moment, with 2 pieces of champion gear, nothing is worse for me than getting jumped by operatives (or assassins for that matter). Only hope is to knock them away, stun them, and run. Most of the time i dont get that far. But thats okay, i om not fully geared, maybe they are. I cant play to the best of my abilities, because the game runs like crap, so maybe there is something to be done. My next character will be an operative (not because its flavor of the month, i just enjoy the style of the class), so i will get more insight then.
  3. Again. Yes. (see what i did?) AFK people need a penalty too, that does not mean that quitters dont deserve one. The fun, close matches are so rare in this game because you can do what you want. Team A scores in Huttball? Half of team B leaves, and Team A steamrolls through the rest of the game. 3 afk dudes standing around in Alderaan? Your team loses. No fun at all, and it happens all the time. We need penalties, and quick
  4. This. THIS. Every second warzone is in progress, easily. Maybe Helm of Graush just sucks like that, but everybody leaves the warzone when the other team scores a goal or two. I dont understand how some of these design decisions get into a huge game like SWTOR.
  5. Only registered users: no thank you. Want to look first. Have fun though
  6. They changed something. Some people will tell you they didnt, but i had the same experience as you. Before patch: 1-5 items to get the next recipe, always, not most of the time. After Patch: 10, 20 and more. I got the first and only blue recipe on my third character at Armstech skill of 60, for example. Another armstech character, leveled before the patch, had all blue and purple Barrels and most of the blue/purple weapons at that point.
  7. Yeah, sure, nothing got nerfed. Just dumb luck that RE for the 4 crafting skills i leveled worked significantly better before the patch. Its not even close. I am at roughly the same (low) skilllevel at armstech on two different characters. The first one, leveled before the patch, had every blue and purple barrel recipe ready the level he needed them, plus several blue/purple weapon recipes he did not even need, while doing gathering and mission skill missions. The other character i leveled since yesterday, who's got materials from the first character and could concentrate more on crafting than gathering, has gotten exactly 0 blue recipes this far. Thats not bad luck. On my main character, who was 400 Cybertech before the patch, i am learning the lower level blue armorings and mods i did not get while leveling. Before the patch, i not once had to RE more than 4 or 5 green items to get the blue recipe. NOT ONCE. After the patch i need minimum of 10, but more like 20 tries or more per blue recipe, which burns money like crazy. Thats not bad luck either. It was nerfed, and it was nerfed hard, deliberate or not. Or i am the unluckiest person on this planet and will probably die later today under horrific circumstances. Which is possible
  8. No, the patch broke it. It wasnt that random, leveling up armstech i needed maybe 3 or 4 greens to get the blue one, and even fewer blue ones to get the purple. Now i am doing it on another character, and just RE'd the first 20 greens that i have built and still no blue recipe. Same on my Cybertech maincharacter. Before the patch -> around 4 to 5 RE per item. Now its easily 20+ to get lucky. The crafting was wasted money even before this change. Now its just ridiculous.
  9. 50 vs rest pvp just destroys this game for me, personally. Brackets work in every other game out there, but in swtor we have to wait weeks, maybe months for more 50s to show up until they get implemented, ruining pvp for everyone who isn't running to 50. Its way too late now anyway, so this is just bitter whining, but its good to vent sometimes. I am on OP's server, too, and while i dont do that much pvp anymore, that dude isnt really pulling those numbers in every match. He never died, so maybe the other operative was his pocket healer, who knows. But they lost anyway, so who cares, really? Can't be that hard to push your stats when you ignore the ball alltogether.
  10. Cybertech here. Before the patch i had to RE maybe 5 mods or amorings before i got the next recipe, which is fine because i have to learn a lot of different items for every 2 levels to have the best gear, which is why i picked up crafting. Yesterday i blew through 130 Thermoplast Flux and got 1 blue recipe. This is not reasonable. Crafting is a huge money sink anyway, with this "fix" or bug or whatever it just got stupid. Now we will have to work with this a few weeks before the problem gets solved. Good for everyone who is done with his crafting, i guess.
  11. Yeah, i just RE'd about 30 Reflex Armoring 20 and still dont have the blue recipe. Before today it took maybe 4-5 RE when i was really unlucky. Thats just awesome, thanks Bioware for this huge stealth nerf. And i have to do that every 2 levels for (at least) 3 types of armoring for my friends. Crafting was not very useful even before this, now its even more of a waste of money. I dont mind that too much, i like crafting even if its not that helpful, but this is just painful.
  12. That there is no neutral gear yet sucks big time. You either go all in or lose out on gear, simple as that, and that this comes in a "roleplay heavy" game like this is really weird to me. Sure, one day they will eventually release neutral gear, but that wont help my leveling Bounty Hunter much. As a guy that loves variety in looks and can appreciate the fun that comes with roleplaying a character a certain way... Its not the end of the world, but having to sacrifice either the fun of roleplaying a non-saint/non-psychopath character or different looking armor blows. Lets hope the neutral armor comes out fast.
  13. Yeah, that would be horrible. People have friends outside of their country these days, you know. A little thing called the internet helps with that.
  14. I am german, and i do not see a problem yet. If you want for Bioware EU to handle these things in the morning as well, you are asking them to give you the content either in advance of the US or more than half a day later. Guess what it would be? Look at Blizzard for a hint. So, for the EGA, i think its done right, at least from a timing perspective. Its not like we get our invites in the middle of the night or something. For content patches i would prefer this model, too. This way no continent would get content sooner than the other. Now, server maintenance is another thing. That should be handled locally to keep it in the early hours of the day.
