  1. Since both cards are from the same series, you can leave the drivers. All you have to do is take the old card out and put the new card in. Windows will see it's a new card, that it already has the drivers, and just start up as normal.
  2. That's hardly the proper measure for boss difficulty. Between the likely multiple presence bonuses from finished companions, the legacy abilities and the access to resources of other chars you have a significantly easier fight than someone who's on his first char with nothing but what he collected playing it. If it turns out it *is* to hard for first timers, it should be nerfed. It isn't though, since the fight is about what to interrupt and where to stand. Which, if you can't figure it out yourself, is easily found on youtube.
  3. I'd love an app that lets me see the credits, commendations, inventory and cargo holds on each char. With 6 55's, and 3 chars levelling, overlapping crew skills that all use scavenging it's a hassle to remember where you left what, which chars have planetary comms so you can deck the freshly turned 50 in Makeb mods. I currently set up a spreadsheet to keep track of at least the credits and comms, but it's constantly out of date. Plus points if it also lets us mail/move stuff between chars, though that's probably asking too much.
  4. Alderaan, Hoth and Tatooine are unbalanced as a whole compared to Makeb. I stopped doing them and just run Makeb twice for the GSI weekly. Doing the other 3 planets isn't worth the time and effort.
  5. In another vote for crit/surge: if you stack up Kolto Probe, Recuperative Nano Tech, Kolto Infusion and Diagnostic scan on someone, you're getting so many ticks and thus chances at crit hits, it averages out in a manner of (a) minute(s). So rather than crits being unreliable, they're turning into an (averaged) certainty. And the biggest plus of it all, you keep a full bar of energy to deal with spike damage.
  6. Mobs already doing channeled abilities, you or companion have a DoT on you, or companion standing in aoe: vanish fails and you stay in combat. Wait until DoT's expired and mobs are just doing regular shots, vanish works just fine. It's not a brainless, free get out of jail card. You need to use it at the right moment.
  7. It's just the chestpiece, the change only removes the LS/DS ties to the dialog choices.
  8. I've done him with: Operative Healer Assassin DPS Powertech Tank Juggernaut Tank Commando DPS Sentinel DPS He was a breeze on any char/companion combo that could output high DPS. He was nigh impossible on any char/companion combo that failed to put out high dps. I've not used my healing companion on any of these 6 fights. On tanks and healer I used a DPS companion. On DPS I used a tank companion. Health is just another resource in a fight, spend it.
  9. Not hard to guess at all. If they're too busy to type, they're too busy to do the trash, bonus and anything else that's skippable.
  10. All doors can be passed with just 2 people (if you snuggle up to the red forcefield, deactivate and run, you're past it before it's back up), but you do need 4 people to throw the EMP charge in the core.
  11. We're not rushing through content, we're trying to get the commendations we're coming for in the shortest possible time. We've enjoyed the content before, many times over since there's always people that don't skip, now it's just about meeting BW's prices on gear and schematics that turn content into busywork. No-one likes busywork. I'm all in favor for an option in groupfinder that separates us skippers from your enjoyers and make both sides happy.
  12. Unless the direction is already determined at the instant you drop the probe and everything after it is just animating the results.
  13. Yes, when I was grouped with other players who were further along in the quest. Once we reset the whole thing for everyone it worked fine.
  14. I'm on Progenitor, the destination server for trask. All I see in Imp fleet general chat (*) are Trask Ulgo players commenting on how happy they are they transferred and how nice it is to be on a living, vibrant server again. So your assessment of TU having a viable population was either reb side or not shared with your fellow players. The name change, it's going to sting a bit but you'll get over it. The dead server, that's going to last and when they do close it down there's no guarantee you'll end up on Progenitor. Transfer now, when you can still end up with some familiar people around you. * Well, that, and every guild recruiter working overtime.
