  1. Regs are fine, as stated numerous times over short queue times for regs are a plus (even after midnight, I'd say till 3-4 am). Time of the day is a great factor for which side is winning but I'd agree that Imps have more premade teams (recently seeing an increase in pvp guilds on Imp side). Experienced players are present on both sides but be prepared for lots of pve'ers who have little idea about pvp and are undergeared (sometimes waay undergeared) on both sides. Rarely do they get really really competitive. Almost everyone speaks english and people are friendly. Hope it helps.
  2. And you know what's funny? I visit the forums once a day and they changed something that never have I seen someone complaining about on the contrary to survavibilty. Maybe we should be posting threads about how UR is so OP and we need so much nerf there, maybe that'll go somewhere.
  3. I don't think RNG was a major problem for carnage players after a little experience (the so-called L2P). The problem in my opinion was survavibility in yolo queues. I hate the fact that this class is in need of a good team setup more than any other class or else: prepare for a moderate-to-drastic drop of performance. A fix to Undying Rage would have solved that problem at large, make it a viable yolo queue spec IMO. Yolo queue leaderboards are evidence enough.
  4. Anyone else having frequent/sometimes problems with interrupt(ing channeling skills of the opponent)? Almost half the time i click it just doesn't work for me (yes yes, looking at the target, close range etc..)

I might be asking too much but as you all well know, we're suffering a considerable amount from roots/slow/stunlock... and this hurts even more when you play carnage as it kills your shortly-lived gore window or whatever rotation you use to get the burst out. So any help would be gravely appreciated... veterans?
  6. I hear this server is dead and ranked is so few that a group or two farm all the way to the top spots in the leaderboards. Any comments?

    And should I mention you could be stunlocked during undying rage? It gets really funny when that happens, like signing your own execution.
  8. I can't find which is more ridiculous: being able to get stunlocked during force camo or undying rage in pvp. I don't see how It's too much to give immunity to stunlocks under those skills or at least one of them as it kills the entire point of having them.
  9. After over a good 360 hours of effort put in mara, let alone working out its playing strategies etc.., started leveling shadow, pvping, having the time of my life. It was a true source of stress to play that class, seeing (or feeling) how every other AC is more beneficial to the team than you are (not implying that it is, my experience was in that in direction though). PS. Haven't give up on playing mara tho, just not as hopeful to find that secret ingredient
  10. I really don't seem to understand what makes a good carnage player. On average (without a healer backing me up) my kill-death ratio is 25:3 with the number of killing blows around 13-14 and 3 solo kills. I use all my DCDs properly, never use ravage before a root, berserk and gore, I use my fury abilities as often as I can at what comes to me as the best times, use camouflage, undying rage when needed. And on average that gets me around 250-350k dps. When I have a good healer backing me these numbers change to 35-43:0-2 with around 17 killing blows and don't remember the solo kills but it's not bad and when this is the case, I get around 500k dps. Ok when this is the chart of another class (as I've seen so far and I have been paying attention to this for some time to verify my case atm) with same numbers, I see their dps (without a healer backing up) 450-550k, with a healer behind, easily!! 700k and above. And please don't start telling me that I don't know how to properly play mara, I regularly check the scoreboards at the end of WZs and I see the same results with other maras over and over. I've seen maybe 2-3 maras in the entire server that doesn't fit to this description (and none of them play carnage but annih.) (again I'd like to remind that playing mara shouldn't be taking math at college). What I'm trying to say is that If you have to give 5x time and attention to some other class to master it, you have to give 11x to actually be able to do something with marauder, yet alone master it or prepare to play the only "support dps" in the entire game. Again, I will not argue the fact that maras have high survivability rate in pve, same doesn't go for pvp at all imo.
  11. I have no idea what's going on but it cannot be that the republic wins every 9 battles out of 10 in this server. Somebody show me otherwise please so i know that i've been on the coincidence side for 10 days in a row. PS: 55 unranked
  12. I've played without an ops chat like in every WZ out of 5. This is completely unacceptable my team has lost 2 WZ out of every 5 because I couldnt call for incomings.
  13. That was an excellent analysis, thank you. Even now when the team is good, I can dps, get medals just fine but if it's a competitive game or we're somehow the worse team the class just feels like crap dps where I am not able to contribute to change the tide of the game which is really frustrating. When it's 4v4 I don't even bother most of the time and leave the WZ not to damage the team. I am currently not geared with the brutalizer set yet but I can't see it as a game changer to what I'm experiencing atm.
  14. Hi everyone I'm new to the game (1.5-2 months) and new to the forum. I love playing mara and it's really fun as well as effective in pve but as I've seen so far (myself and talking with other maras) there is something really problematic with playing mara in pvp: 1) I have seen no skill strong enough to compensate the fact that this is a pure dps AC with the most terrible defense and survivability skills in this game. In fact, I have seen no mara in a warzone that dealt the most damage since I've started this game (I do on average 5-6 warzones everyday). My bro who leveled with me a merc and a sorc has a lot easier time dpsing, healing or whichever role he likes but when he tried out mara, he also found it frustrating. 2) Even with a couple of defensive skillls mara's got, it's still the easiest prey in a warzone and most probably will be the first target to be brought down (this is espically the case in 4v4). 3) They say without a healer mara's nothing. I think we all know for a fact that without a good team any class is nothing. But since I've turned 55 with mara I am getting the impression that mara is not actually "in the making of a good team" but rather, as a friend who's playing since beta said "a support dps" of a good team. My point being either they need to buff dps or survivability skills of this AC. If I'm a noob and there's no truth to any of what I've said (or tried to say), then at least make it easier to play. I'm not taking a math class at college and shouldn't be worried for whether it can be doable as if I'm gonna fail the class. Removing the cost of undying rage could be a good start imo. PS. 2nd item was my experience and I could be the only person in the game experiencing it but other than that I stand behind what I've said.
