  1. +1 I currently have my GTN/storage room on the first floor (DK Stronghold), for ease of access, but I'd move it up to one of the second floor rooms if I could spawn up there.
  2. Playing through the class stories with the 12x XP, I remembered how much I loathe certain companions (<cough><cough> Skadge). While I doubt we can expect any return to the time when we could choose to kill off obnoxious companions, how awesome would it be if we could get a Stronghold decoration of them frozen in carbonite?
  3. The stories are great. But not great enough to do them more than two times, maybe three times max. Dailies are boring. But they offer enough reward to make them worth suffering through. EDIT: I guess my point is that while it's fun to try out a new class, or get a new crafting mule set up, when it comes to repeating content I'd rather repeat the stuff that actually rewards my time spent.
  4. As one final point, I'm gonna go ahead and build on this. I'll keep it brief so we can wrap this up. Xizor relies on mercenaries to do most his fighting. While they are most likely as effective as most soldiers (if they weren't, they wouldn't live long in their line of work), they are very unlikely to fight a losing battle. If at any point in the first conflicts, Kun's (or Ulic's, whoever has command) forces look to be winning, a portion (let's call it around 20%-30%) of Xizor's men will break and run, because no amount of credits is any use to a dead guy. This will make the Xizor's chances of victory even slimmer, leading to more desertions, until it's a full-scale rout. Further more, any shipyards which produce vessels for Xizor will be wary once Kun's forces demonstrate what happens to those who side against him. I bet a lot would rather stay out of the fight than risk incurring the wrath of a Sith Lord and his monsters.
  5. I bet they could, but for the purpose of this debate, all Grievous has to do is kill Revan, right? Then Revan's powerbase is out of the game. I'm honestly wavering on whether Revan could beat Grievous. Lightsaber-wise, probably not. It depends how effective Revan's Force abilities are. Can he telekinetically crush Grievous' brain? I don't know. Has anyone in Star Wars done something like that, or do they all just crush the skull? Obviosly, the Jedi that fought against Grievous in the Clone Wars would be reluctant to try this, as it would be a pretty Dark application of the Force, so it's hard to say whether or not it's possible. EDIT: Hmmm, good point. I didn't know about that; guess I should stop posting until I actually read through Grievous' Wookiee page.... ooops!
  6. I'm not sure this would work out so well. First, Grievous has many many factories and shipyards -- to hit them all, or even just a few critical ones, would likely overextend Revan's much smaller military. Grievous would simply take Revan's forces apart piecemeal. I suppose Revan could focus on a single factory world at a time, but it would take too long to reach the point where Grievous was unable to replenish his forces, even if Revan won every battle (which, admittedly, is shaky). Grievous himself often went after civillian centers, and would likely recognize what Revan was attempting to do. It's unlikely that any emotion Grievous might feel upon seeing his homeworld threatened would throw him off his game -- he was pretty ruthless.
  7. Ah, ok, I see now why the explosives wouldn't work. I did not know about the Duranium (my quick skim through his Wookiee page must have missed it! ). I still think Revan would be able to crush Grievous' organs, unless he somehow needed to expose them before he could affect them. I suppose the Duranium would likely be pretty good at negating any damage that might be caused by lightning. I agree that in a straight-up lightsaber duel between the two, Revan is unlikely to win. Even with Malak at his side, they probably couldn't beat GG. With a dozen agile, stealthy assassins, they might have a 50-50 shot, though, but that's assuming GG has no reinforcements of his own on hand. Given what we know of the General, it is unlikely that he could be completely separated from his Separatist forces. EDIT: On the topic of G0-T0 hacking Grievous' droid forces, I doubt he would be able to assume control of deployed forces. However, his agents could upload a virus to the droids still under production, or possibly even the ones simply powered down and in storage.
  8. 1) As has been said before in this debate, Anakin, Obi-wan, and Kit Fisto all managed to force (or trick) Grievous into a direct confrontation. How is it impossible that Revan could do the same? 2) I'm sure he'd feel it, but could he react quickly enough to save himself? I doubt even the average Jedi's reflexes would be quick enough to escape that, and these are guys who deflect blaster bolts!! And, if you would, tell me how exactly he would survive a plasma grenade/mine (or heck, a thermal detonator -- aren't those even more powerful?) going off on his back.
  9. Reporting for duty! I think that Revan will beat General Grievous. I havent yet looked at whether he can find and defeat G0-T0. 1) Revan forces a face-to-face confrontation with GG. Revan then picks the droid general up with the Force and crushes him, like Mace Windu did in the animated Clone Wars cartoon (not really sure if that is still canon, but I *think* it is). Alternatively, Revan could subject GG to blast after blast of Force lightning -- I doubt even the General's metallic skin could withstand very much of that. How can GG defend against this? He has no Force powers of his own to counter Revan's. He could possible anchor himself to the ground with magnetics/his clawlike feet, but that wouldnt help him much. Revan would still crush him. 2) Revan sends a team of assassins to kill GG. Even if they are detected on the way into GG's hideout, I'd give them good odds that at least *one* could stealth up to GG and and plant one (or more -- the more, the messier!! ) plasma grenades/mines on GG's back. Boom. Even if the General survived the explosives, he'd likely be considerably weakened for a period of days, enabling Revan to force him into the scenario described in point one above. Admittedly, I haven't seen any of the new Clone Wars series, and so have little idea of any new info regarding GG, but I doubt he could survive these attacks.
  10. 0.o there have been no flames?? In a REVAN thread?!?! QUICK! Restore balance to the Interntz!! FLAME FLAME FLAME!! ...I just set myself on fire. Dang.
  11. Impatient or not, I doubt Revan is foolish enough to assault an unwinnable objective like Malachor V. The only plausible reason for doing so that I have seen stated thus far is that it is in the Kaggath rules. Except, where in the rules does it say *Revan* is the one who has to make the suicidal attack? If Revan plays Traya's game of sitting and waiting, shouldn't *she* also be obligated by the rules to try and attack him? Since these characters would both have to be incredibly stupid to attack the other's position in this circumstance, the only thing that can determine victory is a direct statement from the OP sending one or the other to their doom. Since the OP is supposed to be impartial, any such statement ruins the Kaggath. I don't think there is any *real* winner here. EDIT: Alternatively, they both win That said, up until the end here, this was really fun
  12. I dont think there is a debate here, not when Traya has the powers of Sever and Drain and a bottomless pool of energy. EDIT: After reviewing all the arguements made so far, I'd have to say that Revan's only hope of victory is to trap Traya on M5. And I don't think he'd have enough information to *know* that that was his only hope for victory. Traya now has my vote.
  13. My updated view on this: -- Both Revan and Traya understand that this war will be decided on Malachor V. -- Revan will almost immediatley strike at M5 in order to bring the war to a swift conclusion. -- Revan's Jedi, regardless of whether they succumb to the dark side on M5, will still follow Revan. They outnumber Traya's Sith, and will likely destroy their enemies. They could feasible begin drawing on the dark side energies of the planet themselves, increasing their power and their chances for victory. -- Revan fights Traya at the Core, either alone or with the aid of his survivng Jedi. Now it comes down to Traya and her ability to sever her enemies connection to the Force, or her ability to forge Force Bonds. This is where my knowledge is a bit lacking -- is there any defense against these techniques besides those used by the Exile? Do these techniques work in the midst of combat, when their target's guard is up? Now think: would Traya, the master planner and manipulator, have forseen Revan's actions? And if so, what traps or contingencies has she prepared?
  14. Oops... lol. I somehow got it in my head that this was the Revan from the END of the Mando Wars... my bad guys
  15. Do we assume that each party knows that this is a Kaggath, and therefore knows what the other party's main goal (the destruction of the other) is? If so, Revan is unlikely to waste time defending Republic worlds from Traya's assaults. He would take the fight to her. (A quick question: how quickly does M5's influence corrupt? Minutes, hours, days, weeks... ?) Some seem to be under the impression that Revan and his Jedi would immediately fall under the sway of the dark side if they ventured to M5, and then defect to Traya's side. It is my opinion that the second part of that statement, at the least, is wrong. I believe that, even if they fell to the dark side, Revan's Jedi would still be loyal to him -- at the least, they'd see the power in him and stick with him in the hope of gaining that kind of power for themselves. And I doubt that Revan would shy away from drawing upon the dark side to kill Traya, if he felt he had to do so. Remember, Revan was fairly arrogant at this point in time, and he had just fought a war in which he sacrificed numerous worlds in order to strike against the Mandos. Thus, Revan would not necessarily be alone when he fought Traya at the Core. I'm not really sure who would win, but it wou;dn't necessarily be "Lightside Revan" against "Traya empowered by the darkside nexus of M5."
