  2. Operatives have two charges of roll resist, along with an already-existing 3 second Dodge. The problem is less so with my suggestions themselves, and more so with the current state of engineering. IMO

Insta-channel would involve cull becoming a single hit ability. depending on balance, perhaps the cull damage could be toned down whilst the dot damage could be boosted up to compensate in the overall DPS of the spec. The point of this suggestion is to improve burstiness, rather than DPS as a whole. Deflection gives immunity to stuns (whilst also allowing movement), and Phase Walk can be used while controlled.
  4. Food for thought: set bonuses don't necessarily need to be used for extra DPS. Here are some suggestions for the PvP set bonuses.... 2pc: Ambush, Aimed Shot, Cull, Wounding Shots, Explosive Probe and Sabotage Charge no longer produce a warning animation or warning sound as they are cast / channelled / applied. 4pc: Completing a full Series of Shots / Speed Shot / Penetrating Blasts / Penetrating Rounds causes the next Ambush / Aimed Shot / Cull / Wounding Shots / Explosive Charge / Sabotage Charge to become an instant cast, instant channel, or instant detonation where relevant. 6pc: Dodge now lasts 6 seconds, and Hightail It / Covered Escape can be used while controlled.

  6. Rofl, looks like someone was paying attention in Intro to Quantitative Methods. What's plainly obvious to the committed PvPer, is that Bioware's metrics of class performance lack validity. Too much time in SPSS, not enough time in SWTOR.
  7. Alex, how keen are you to talk about pvp metrics in more detail? I have concerns regarding the measurement validity of the metrics being used to balance various aspects of combat.

  10. Is there any reason to expect the client to now produce an infinite loading screen when trying to launch to game? This did not happen before the West Coast servers were brought down, or during the maintenance period itself (when the West Coast servers appeared offline).
  11. A non-Shadow's Shadow/Assassin PvP Guide Overview: Remember when warriors got Bladestorm in WoW? No, cos you don't play WoW arenas? Fine. I'll move on then... Why should you play Shadow/Sin? Cos Hatred is broken and you like to win. Abilties/Utilities [DoT #1] - Use this always [DoT #2] - Use this always [DoT #3] - Randomly hit a thing and proc this always [AoE #1] - Use this on cooldown Tips and Tricks Make sure you use deflection and shroud at the same time for maximum effect. Also use deflection without shroud every once in a while to demonstrate how necessary the un-stunnable deflection buff was. If someone outplays you, just re-stealth Also play lots of solo queue cos it's the premier form of pvp in swtor

(Think along the lines of Turbo Cleave I guess...) Virulence Sniper = Affliction Lock w/ Sac Marksman Sniper = Demo Lock or MM Hunter w/ Sac and aura mastery Medicine Operative = Resto Druid Be prepared for a dumbed-down PvP experience and worse class balance though.... No point discussing WoW PvP with most people on this forum; next to no-one in this game could deal with 2k+ 3's IMHO
