  1. I'm the main healer for Ewokalypse Now, we are currently 8/12 Nim(5/5 TFB and 3/7 SNV). Personally, I have felt that other than DG, healing hasn't increased to a significant amount compared to dps. So with that logic we went with a priority to dps>tanks>heals. Now that we have gotten tfb Nim down, we are thinking that we should go all out and gear the tanks now as it should be the biggest help for the bosses we are now attempting to down. The logic for this decision is pretty simple, the enrage timers of certain fights are the biggest prohibitive factors to the downing of the bosses, best way to deal with this, is to gear the dps. Once you aren't worrying about dieing to enrage timers, gearing tanks is the next best option, as gearing a tank takes stress off both healers, meaning they shouldn't really need as much gear anyway. Noone in our group cares about being in full KD either, so that helps. We are in there to down content, not to get gear. MH/(OH got barrel/hilt users) and Relics will be the biggest single boosts to a person. tl'dr Gear the dps until you are beating enrages and then gear the tanks, imo.
  2. We think so, lol. Not much of an achievement though. Just happy we have survived the transfer and a few people disappearing during the start of nim tfb
  3. Bump, we are currently 1/4 Nim TFB. Also, we are close to downing DG's and moving on.
  4. So, from what I can tell, 3-4 top 10 guilds have already attempted this boss, including my guild(Ewok). Everyone is in consensus that this boss is over tuned. We decided a few hours of sleep was better than banging our heads against a wall for a few hours of wipes in the wee hours of the morning after already attempting them for a few hours.
  5. From what I can tell, I think we got world 10 for this tier. But we did get APAC 1st which is what we were aiming for. Beat notorious by 6 hours or so. So we are really happy about that. This tier was definitely a joke, especially if you had any practice on pts(which we had none of). Only boss that required new gear was Stryak(mechanically he is easiest boss in there), and other than that, we didn't spend more than 2 hours on any boss, which I was pretty happy to see, seeing as we hadn't done any practice on pts. In general the fights are fun, but the scaling from sm>hm is pretty piss poor and only 2 fights require new gear(stryak and golden fury) and that is because of enrage timers not mechanics.
  6. You got it right here, most of high level EWOK guys seem to be thinking pretty hard about leaving and if that is the case, there goes a significant chunk of skilled PVE and PVP players for the pub side.
  7. I liked PVE in this game too, until you see the fact the EC has been end game for at least 8 months or so of the last year, that is piss poor. We cleared ECNM within the first week of it coming out and then didn't go back for 3-4 months, because most of players still had burnout from the constant ECHM clearing just a few months before. WoW does a better job of end game PVE in that regard, which is why I consider it the better option now. IMO PVP is the saving grace of this game for the majority, as it was superior to WoW's, but not many want to go to playing SWTOR PVP with 200+ms. So they lose the one thing they have over WoW. And yes, cross server queues would have easily been the simplest solution and were awesome for WoW. I never wanted to leave my server while I was playing, which was one of the original release servers, and the cross server capability meant I didn't have to as I had a HK guild on my server to raid with. This game doesn't want to do cross server ****, so they screw themselves over in that respect.
  8. I had been thinking of going back and seeing how WoW has been going for a while, but the fact I could play a decent MMO with good ms has kept me around. Especially since I've been with an awesome guild as well. Now with that gone, what has SWTOR got that WoW doesn't do better? **** all for me, so I'm out if the APAC servers are out. From what I can tell, most of the active end game EWOK guys are not going to be hanging around, so not many decent pubs will be there after the closure of the APAC servers. Good job bioware/EA, shoot yourselves in the foot some more why don't you.
  9. You seem to be missing a few key points in your post. We only started complaining when Bioware took so long to bring up the servers(which they promised). This was an issue in itself. Then they did no advertising what so ever to actually encourage people from the APAC region to play, to me that is just genius right there. Then they wonder why the servers start dwindling as they bring out barely any content and the content they do bring out is consumed in days. BW aren't going to keep much of the APAC population with this decision. It is them stringing us along for nearly half a year to tell us, **** you.
  10. I'm guessing you must sleep when downtime happens, because for APAC its usually 2-3 hours during peaks time, once a week. Nothing new when you have played WoW, but don't try say that its half an hour and is a non-issue. Especially in the last couple of weeks when they do emergency maintenance on thursday/friday nights. How are we supposed to organise ops etc. when 2 nights during the week, we can't play? Even then, you are completely missing the point when you think that that is even an issue that we care about when talking about losing the APAC servers. :S
  11. I'm done with this game unless we have an APAC server. This game is sub par to WoW in everything but PVP and I don't pvp much, so not an issue for me. The biggest selling point to me that kept me around was the amazing ping. With that going why would I want to continue playing SWTOR? Rehashed content as nightmare mode for every second progression tier does not make me want to hang around. I know that WoW doesn't have APAC servers, but its a more polished game, with better pop. So if I have to decide between 2 games that have the same ping, I will choose WoW over SWTOR any day. Especially with how bioware/EA have treated their customers in this game all year.
  12. Then why the **** do they spend 6+ months asking what we want to happen to our servers then just go and ignore every single thing that was said to them? They ****ed up the whole APAC server thing anyway, they took way too long to bring them up, they never even tried advertising in AU/NZ to actually get a local player base actually up and running properly. There are a few more issues that they also screwed up in the quest to screw up their whole opening and now closing of the APAC servers. I would rather also tell it to us straight. The announcement should have read: "**** you APAC, not enough money from you to keep your servers up and running. So now we will be closing them and moving you back to NA servers." Not the **** about it being in our best interest to get moved back.
  13. Its definitely not on MDN for this **** up. Anyone who plays enough on the server wants a merge. This game doesn't even do open world pvp properly, so the difference between pvp and pve is so miniscule that noone would even notice a thing if all pvp servers were all just changed to a pve server one day. This is just excuses coming out of bioware/EA's arse and the can go **** themselves because of it.
  14. Pretty pissed off myself. This is a weak "solution" and one that seems to be alienating nearly all of the top end guys on this server. Pretty disappointing if you ask me. With how **** most content updates have become and their continued use of rehashing nightmare mode as a whole new tier for PVE progression, I would rather go back to WoW than to play with 2-300 ping on NA servers in this game. Only reason I was hanging around was the low ping and guild I have been in, with that pretty much going away, I say **** you bioware, I will take my money elsewhere.
  15. Not impressed at all, was on the swtor reddit page, saw a post titled APAC server merges, was pumped thinking it was the merge we wanted, but nope getting punted back to NA. From what I can tell a lot of EWOK's main group myself included will be gone once this happens. Why would I want to play this sub par game with horrible ping when I can play other MMO's that have better dev support with the same or slightly better ping? Only thing I was sticking around for in this game was the low ping and awesome guild. Both will be gone with this move and so will I.
