  1. Funny thing is this happened back with 1.2 so its not really new for Bioware. I guess they caught it faster before or this game has an aweful lot of player turnover.
  2. The model is the same as the Conservator's Boots, although the coloring in the picture is different.
  3. As has been pointed out previously... there are still lvl 50 operations and even just the 5 lvl difference means you rarely hit the thing at lvl 50.
  4. - A better chat system. The current one is terrible. Well maybe that's harsh. It's functional... just barely. It's certainly the worst of any game I've spent significant time in. I imagine it's modeled after WOW's which must be why there aren't more complaints about it. Just once I wish Bioware would look at games other than WOW for inspiration. Both Guild Wars 2 and Age of Conan have much better chat systems. Basic things like full copy/paste functionality and more right click options on people's names for replies, etc. I'd be happy if I just didn't lose control of my character when entering the chat input bar. Seriously, if I click back on the game screen, the input bar should be deactivated and full control of my character returned like every other online game I play. No need to hit enter or spam the chat window with "wwwwdddsssssaaa's." No wonder so many people don't call for help in warzones. Maybe it would even help the chat lag. - More functional Guild List. Okay we actually got the ability awhile back to invite guild members to groups. Could we please get the ability to send tells to guildmates with a mouseclick rather than having to put guildmates on our friends list... please? This is basic stuff in most other games. - Account wide hotkey binds. Other than the dread of doing 55 lvls of the same 2 quests repeatedly, having to rebind keys for every new character is one of the primary reasons I don't bother starting alts anymore.
  5. Nope. Our lowbies and 50s running lvl50 Operations are still stuck with a training dummy they can't hit.
  6. I would like to see the Gold/Silver Chrome or Metallic look that is in the game but used on far too few items (such as the old lvl 40 Bounty Hunter pvp gear or Heavy Armor Reinforced Battle Boots). Unfortunately I suspect this would go beyond this dye system and we'll probably get a dull, boring Gray or Tan called "Metallic Silver or Gold." The same colors that make the Jedi Legacy and CM armor sets more underwhelming than they should be. We'll see.
  7. Wouldn't it be easier for both you and players to just eliminate 1 of each compound/sample instead of going through the schematics? There really is no need to have 4 bioanalysis materials. 2 just like scavenging would be enough. Devs point to ability and vendor clutter as a reason to remove armors and attacks that many enjoyed. What about all the inventory clutter that seems to get worse with each big update (not just with crafting mats either). I know its easier said than done but you guys really need to consider reducing the amount of crafting mats instead of constantly increasing them. 2-3 per crew skill is more than enough per tier. Unlike the armors/abilities I doubt there are many that would miss these and it gives people more room for the silly Cartel Market toys you want them to buy... yet also take up inventory slots.
  8. Bioware has really dropped the ball with Trooper armor and the Cartel Market. They should take cue from the owner of probably the single most successful Star Wars license... Hasbro/Kenner. Several years ago Hasbro figured out that SW fans love Storm/Clone Trooper armor. Collectors wont just buy one they will buy multiples to fill out their little armies, so Hasbro began producing much more of these than any other secondary "character." Then came the variations (sometimes just a different color stripe, shoulder pad or backpack), and collectors bought them up. This could easily apply to TOR. Every Trooper has a whole squad of trooper companions to outfit. Even the Smuggler and both Jedi have a Trooper companion and Sith Warriors have an Imperial Trooper Companion. The CM should be filled with rotating variations of at least chest and helmet pieces... especially the chests without the air conditioner backpack people have been asking for... and is even worn in game by npc's. Instead Bioware is just missing out on a lot of easy money.
  9. Unfortunately, I think this is intentional since it was mentioned in the patch notes despite it being a completely stupid change. It's also a pointless change since by the time you'd need a lvl 55 dummy it would have been that anyway. They may be old content, but I believe EV and KP are still considered lvl 50 ops. My 50 Trooper, whose gear I never optimized, now has over 100% ranged accuracy and rarely seems to hit the thing. In addition to the reasons mentioned by other posters, here's another. After turning in a lowbie quest in the fleet, I level and now have enough skill points to get a new attack (such as Overhead Strike or Plasma Brand on a Jedi). Only, thanks to location and the outdated combat system I have nothing nearby to go try it out on and we all like trying out our new toys. The dummy was great for this situation. Sure, I can still go see what the animation is on the dummy but not how the damage really is or where it best fits in with other attacks. Or the best time to re-apply a debuff or dot since these are evaded. It was also just plain fun to have something to do on ship while waiting... for a warzone, for groupfinder, a companion to finish crafting, etc. Next to the mailbox it was probably the best thing to get for the ship. Now its not even that useful or fun to a 50 who may very well still be doing EV/KP for awhile. Sure, it may not be gamebreaking, but it is one of those stupid little things mmo developers (particularly Bioware) seem to do that eventually add up with all the other little stupid things (both intentional and unintentional) and eventually frustrate subscribers.
  10. The Black Hole helm will show under a hood and looks pretty good too... especially color matched with the Supreme Inquisitor Robe. The social gear set on Balmorra has a face mask that will show under a hood if you prefer a cyborg-like look. Of course, any circlet will show. Those are the only ones that I can think of at the moment. Most of the other stuff that will show under a hood is unfortunately medium/heavy armor like the Malgus mask and the cool looking Force Sentinel helm which really would work just as well for an Assassin as a Marauder if BioWare would just make a light armor version.
  11. I agree there needs to be a cap on the number of supplement missions... especially in rank 5. There are too many and they pop up too frequently. Actually the First Aid missions should just be removed from that rank since they are available in others and from a vendor. Yes, relogging or zoning reshuffles the missions but it can still take a few attempts, gets annoying and isn't always viable depending on what you are doing (Ops, FP, Questing on a slow loading planet). The same goes for the excessive amount of Companion Gift missions in Diplomacy and Underworld Trading.
  12. I picked this up shortly after 1.2 and it certainly seems to work... or my cybertech has just been on an extended lucky streak. Just remember if you use the sensor you'll want to work on maxing the droid's loyalty to take full advantage. I believe max affection is also equal to +5 crit. In any event, I made the 100k back quickly enough selling earpieces with augment slots. Now if there had just been one for each crafting skill...
  13. For variety, I'd really like some "non-planets" as quest zones like a Death Star/Space Station setting or a Cloud City. Again, as world quest zones not just Flashpoints/Class quests. As for planets... Geonosis, Utapau, Byss, Dantooine. Maybe Coruscant and Dromund Kaas expanded for high levels to make the capitals better secondary hubs. I like snow, but please, no more ice planets for awhile.
  14. What a silly thing to remove. I never had one or any interest in getting it but you have to be pretty uptight to be that bothered by it. The large, obnoxious speeders parked in front of GTN/mailboxes are actually annoying yet those purchased before 1.2 didn't suddenly vanish or become unusable. If BW wanted to remove this then they probably should have at least done the same with these items. Give people some warning and make it a legacy item. As others have suggested if some people are that dour then add a blocking checkbox right next to the block random guild/group invites.
