  1. Apologies beforehand if this is common knowledge, Google nor forum search is not revealing some of the tips I remember when rerolling an alt. I'm going to reroll a new Op/Eng to relearn the game. I last played where 50 was cap and min/max pvp orange gear while leveling up was s thing. I've searched and watched some tips on Youtube for returning players and while most are good, some tips I remember are missing. Thoughts are I'd like to level up mostly through PVP since I did that in the past. Huttball was my favorite, any 4x4 I'll probably skip. I have other characters that can craft. Don't really care for starfighter so I won't spend much time on that part of the game. So: 1. Setup UI, Keys, Toolbars, abilities, etc. 2. I remember you get extra XP by going to fleet and getting gathering skills. Took Bio, Slice, Scavenging and will send mats to alts to craft stims, armor. Probably should have took Arch instead as now it appears the game is dumping better PVE gear and PVP now upscales it in the different tiers. Is this correct? Once the basics come back to me I do plan on running instances with my alt to send gear/weapons back to my new character. 3. Once I get a companion I'll max them out using my alts to send back higher level gifts. 4. So now there is a thing called Conquest - should I be also including this while leveling? Any other tips for rerolling new character in currents state of game? Much appreciated!
  2. Yea, I dumped all acc enh for crit and went full power. I'm going by the other thread that mixing a couple of crit augs in with power actually reduces damage. Before each match I look at other's gear and a lot of people run mast/end or end/crit augs. At the end of the match when I look at the stats, my overall damage may not be top but it's up there. My biggest hits avg 18k - 25k. Compared to other PT without power augs, I usually have the biggest hits, but not necessarily more overall damage. I'm ok with that. Keep in mind this is in PUGS and there a lot of other factors in getting these numbers.
  3. Looks like Bio went back to the original KOTOR format, which from a story producing stand point makes sense as you don't have to rehire the class character actor to voice the new story dialogue. All Bio needs to worry about is the NPC which can be any Joe Shmoe. This is probably the compromise Bio has to make in order to get new stories out at greater frequency.
  4. Serious? I'm reusing +41 expertise crystal form my old WH and I haven't noticed a difference. Like the OP though I swapped all my Accuracy Enh for Crit and went with full Power/Aug for my AP PT. Puts my Accuracy at 101 and I don't seem to be getting the same damage numbers as having at least 1 Accuracy Enh. I'm going to swap 1 back in to get to 104 and see if I can hit a little harder.
  5. Nades are about the only thing that sell for Cyber. I think the purple stims for Bio ought to as well - they're expensive on my server.
  6. That's what I was wondering, is there something higher than 208? I just finished up min/maxing 208.
  7. While plenty of people are critiquing, I want to give you a big sloppy thanks with sincere appreciation. Your guide helped me immensely. THANKS!
  8. Perhaps it the new core math. Regardless, he did say it was early for him. I went with all power in my AP PT and changed out the accuracy enhancements. I have not tried crit augs, but my toon does hit like a truck. However, I am squishy and die a lot in solos.
  9. Hunh, must be playing wrong - Jugs/sins/sorc can do way more damage in WZ, and even 1v1 they can burn me down faster them I can them. Also, as usually the lone PT in arenas I'm focused first. In PVP the other AP PTs that I've seen do good damage and top the charts had pocket healers.
  10. Returning player for the expansion. On prime time I see 120 or so on Imp Fleet. Both lowbie and 65 queues pop within about 8 mins or so. Has it been worse than this? A plus for me anyway - I inherited a guild. Got some extra cargo room now
  11. Thanks. Last question(s) - looking to min/max and swap out mods to get my accuracy down. Seeing that there are no 208 on the PVP vendor, only 204, that we have to grind out more gear to extract our desired mod, just like pre 4.0? I'm working on Augs as well, but there is a WAY big price difference between Purple and Blue Augs for the performance. I think with Overkill 40 Augs there is what: 5/8 End/Power difference, meaning Purple only gains 70 End and 112 power gain over Blues? Considering Blues go for 40K and Purples go for 160K, I'll think I'll keep that 1.2 million for the measly 70/112 gain, unless those are truly worth it. I don't craft, just PVP - I'm poor.
  12. Yep. Current gearing both PVE/PVP is retarded. It should be crafted for both with different variations to min/max mods. For the carrot in PVE - make it trinkets or something that boost an ability. Same with PVP, like tiered military rank from soldier to general, with new abilities that decay over time if you don't PVP. Oh yea, PVP in it's current form IS kinda weak. We need select-able queues, cross server, and OWPVP. Kinda like SWG.
