  1. I'll throw my .02 in here. I recently resubbed after three years away from the game. The game is great. I play on Harb. IMP side. Its the most toxic, disgusting chat I've seen in any game, ever. Period. Bar none. I would love to see even Harb being more active, I use the queue alot, so there are times when a queue takes forever to pop. My concern win merging any server is not names, or RPs, its the community. If/when you guys merge some servers can you guys commit to having a GM presence in chat? ITs going to be more active, and more toxic. Let me be clear, I'm all for a little saltiness from time to time. But sexist, political, racist, the most disgusting things you could imagine are in chat IMP side on fleet. So, can you guys commit to GMs stepping in? Can you guys commit to being in chat from time to time to keep the population , the new merged community, from turning into Barrens chat from 2004
  2. When do we get a hybrid healer/dps stance? I want to see lightning shoot out of my companions finger tips, while they also throw a bubble on me that heals, or a HoT on the ground. I mean the tank stance has quite good dps, Vette as an example. The healer stance dps is terrible. The dps role doesn't heal at all, obviously. So a force using ranged companion that has ONE stance (if your even able to do that now after the tech changes I'm unsure how the back end stuff is now) Mid-High DPS with Low-Mid Heals/support. if your scared of the low-mid heals, then go with three dps skills, one heal skill, one support skill, (something better than a single target stun)
  3. Just want to throw out some feedback for anyone interested. I played for a few months a few years ago. Stopped playing during the Rise of the Hutt expac. I've always been interested in checking it out again, and when I had the chance I was pleasantly surprised. So much so that I've resubbed. -Travel The quickness of travel has always been a huge thing for me in MMO's. I played some WoW over the weekend, started from scratch. lvs 1-12 I didn't even touch a mount, quick travel, or even have a skill that increased running speed. I wont go back. Thats how serious I am about travel. What you guys have done with the travel is amazing. The maps for heroics, specifically, are amazing. Using these in conjunction with a zero cooldown quick travel skill, a Mount at lv 1 (or ten) a ooc run speed buff at lv 1, zero cooldown map to my ship, Fleet, ect. Its just, amazing. Ease of access to anything and everything in game. Quick travel to companions, quick travel to planets via quest guide, its just amazing. You've really thought of everything here. -Content There is a healthy amount of content for someone coming back to the game. For those that have played through the launch of it all, I mean, you can never have enough for lifers. Ever. But for me, I just dont have enough time to do everything I want to. The beautiful thing about it though is that I'm capable of doing it all. There's nothing I haven't found yet that I wasn't able to partake in. Be it raids or pvp, instances or rep grinds. Dailies or Farming mats. I can go to any planet, scale my level, bolster my gear, queue up for anything I want to. Well done here. Far too many games make older content obsolete, there's never a reason to go back to "vanilla" areas. Here there always is. A+ -Client/Engine The game runs smoother than ever. It looks great, its held up. I've had the lag issue on Harb pop up a couple times, but not in a couple weeks and its not the end of the world anyhow. The problem alot of games that age have is showing their age and there being so much stuff going on in the back end with new systems, ect, the client just cant keep up (looking at you Lotro) This one, runs smooth. Now its not all puppy dogs and icecream. Here are two issues I've found and I'll be honest, if I cant personally find a solution to these two issues, I may unsub at some point. I can put up with them now, but long term, I will break. 1. Chat is a cesspool. Need alternative chat/grouping options. I'm IMP on Harb. /1 and /2 on Fleet is disgusting. At all hours of the day or night. Its non stop. Politics, drugs, sex, racial overtones, cussing, QQ, trolling, flaming. Its absolutely disgusting. And I've spent as much time as I dare blocking those who run their mouths. I've blocked well over 50 non-spammers in the last couple weeks. When I see a few people doing their thing, I block and things quite down for a bit. But when I log back in, there's always always new ones. I've been very fortunate to see that the same attitude in the playerbase isn't in queue. I haven't queued ranked, and I'm sure there's a bit of it there from time to time, but any queue I've been in the players have been awesome. Its just the bored ones on fleet. The frustrating part is you have to use fleet for /1 ops. there's no /global channel (that I know of) for groups, and no-one uses the OP queue. So if you wanna jump in a pug, you have to go to fleet. Maybe a global LFG channel. One that is monitored by GMs. Something. Adding additonal group search options in the GC window. IE In the OPs being able to start an OP, state the requirements for the group (roles, experience, ect) then "posting it" If your looking for a group, open up the OP UI do a search for open groups, if you meet the listed requirements, send a /tell and/or request to join. 2. Zero GM's This goes to number one too, but has to be separate because its a separate issue. People will run their mouths in chat because they can get away with it. Pure and simple. I've seen many GMs in other games "pop" into chat from time to time to calm things down. They dont go all nazi and insta ban everyone for being a bit harsh, I mean I dont expect everyone to conform to some unrealistic please and thankyou kinda stuff. But you've all seen it, its disgusting. These are when GMs should step in. Just a simple "keep it clean everyone" and people shut up. If they dont, and the GMs see the same people over and over in chat, they eventually invite themselves to a bit of time away from the game lol. But this is on bioware. 100% I've allowed my 9 year old son to play the game a bit. But have to shut off chat when he's on fleet. Which sucks, cuz he's nine, he LOVES the fact that other people are running around lol. Anyhow, wall of text over. Gonna go grind out some more Command XP (Which isn't all that bad btw but it does need to be legacy wide 100%)
  4. Right now when you open up the raid lock UI screen, all the available raids, and each version of the raids, are default "open" I would ask that you default them to closed. If we need/want more information on a specific raid then we can open up or expand the listing ourselves. As it stands now, its beyond obnoxious to scroll through 50 raids when I just want to find one specific one. Then while your at it, add in a button to expand all and retract all listings. TY
  5. Good advise above. I'm going to go the other way and play devils advocate. You might just not be good enough to PvP. Pure and simple. This could be like you said, "not enough hands" It does take a certain amount of dexterity, an advanced understanding of keybinds, keystrokes, shortcuts, focus targets, target of targets, ect ect To be "good" at PvP. Gear I wouldn't worry about, bolster is a thing. But some people are just not wired for PvP. Pure and simple. There are people who can "learn" it and slowly over time get better at it. Then there are those that just cant grasp the quickness. Its a far different beast then PvE. Myself, I'm not bad at PvP. I'm certainly not at the top either. I enjoy it. I queue everyday and I just try to have fun. I dont worry about stats or lists or whatever. But I make sure I'm prepared when queuing. I make sure my traits/build is correct, I make sure my keybinds and everything I need is in PVP mode. I watch videos, I read guides. I take an active interest in getting better. But when its all said and done, some people aren't wired for PvP and the sooner they figure that out, the sooner they will start feeling better about where they stand, and move on to some content that can be rewarding to them.
  6. Hey harb. Like I said I've recently resubbed after three years away, and I'm loving the game right now. You may or may not have seen me in game on my Merc "Instructions" or my Sin "Indefectable" So I've only been back a couple/three weeks. So Im way way behind in gearing and progression. But, I take it very seriously. I do my research, I have no issue in asking questions if I cant find the answer myself. I'm currently playing Merc, so I can "learn" the content and lv my command to 300. I've got a couple 246's and have just about replaced all my 230's with golds. I do love tanking, and do have my old sin lved and waiting. About me, I'm a former Raid Leader and Guild Officer in a different MMO. I wasn't one of the founding members of the guild, but stayed in the guild for 6 years until I left that game. I still to this day keep in contact with many from the guild. I take my time in game seriously. I have very little patience for racist, sexist, qq, flaming, salty ********. When I log in, I want to queue up for something. Have fun. Clear content and make some improvement on my toon. Thats my goal each day. So what I'm looking for is a PvE guild, with a smattering of PvP. I'm not specifically looking for a hard-core progression guild that requires 5 raid rdy toons. I have one, and hopefully soon I'll have two. Thats it. But a guild that does run content. Frequently. Scheduled or not, I dont care but aslong as there is frequent grouping. Ideally a group of guys and gals that can have a little bit of patience "teaching" a new guy your strats, you'll only have to tell me once though promise So anyhow, wall of text over. Gimme a shout ingame if your interested in taking a test run or something. I'm usually on "Instructions" But you may find me on "Indefectable" Thx guys!
  7. I also encountered this today. First time through no companion would come to the swamp with me. After Arric wasn't there at the vantage point, I reset the quest. This time, the appropriate story NPC came to the swamp with me, then left when i was tasked with finding Jordan at the Vantage point. No Jordan. Unsure how to proceed at this point. *Shrug*
  8. Good to know this isn't just me or my "new" PC. I've been experiencing this. Not rubber banding, but my screen completely freezes. Sometimes for a second, sometimes for 20s. It typically starts out slow then builds up to the point where its unplayable for 20-30s Last night in a 4v4 WZ was the worse it ever was. Started the round, as soon as I engaged it locked up for 10s. Then came back briefly and locked up again for another 30s or so. This happened one additional time, and the round was over. We won I've also experienced this in the open world. Doing planet heroics. Though to be fair, I'm pretty certain I just completed a WZ. Though there was no issues in the WZ itself. However once I got back in the world, it started slowly, 1s here, 3s there. Got worse and worse over 10m or so. Until I had to shut client down and restart.
  9. I played a few years ago, when expertise was around. I've never been a top tier player, I'm just a random dude who enjoys WZ's. Since coming back into the game a couple weeks ago (yes very small sample size) I've played with my lv cap Jugg, Sin, and Merc. Without a doubt, not even close, my Merc is heads and shoulders above anything else I'm able to play. Even those with very low skill can put out good dps numbers, the rotation is very simple. Those with medium amount of skill, Like myself, can push out a bit more and have some amazing addition tools to work with. Is it too good? I have no flipping clue. Not my place to say. Devs have all the metrics in the world at their disposal. If they think they're too good, they'll scale them back. Pure and simple. But for a dude who will never be top tier pvp'r, for a dude who enjoys them and queues when ever I can, they are amazing, and allow me to be competitive.
  10. Gramps

    Mercenary Healers

I'd bug this tbh. At the very minimum it should be put in as a feature bug.
  11. Heyas, question. Is it possible for me to play endgame PvE and competitive PvP with one set of gear? For example, Op. From what I understand at endgame PvE I want Cunning > Accuracy > Surge > Power > Crit While for endgame PvP I want Expertise > Cunning > Accuracy > Surge > Power > Crit So to get that top end Expertise I would need to stay competitive, I would need to drop some number of 'PvE' stats. If I do so, will my PvE be acceptable? Or, do I need a separate set of weapons and armor? Danke
  12. I dont agree. You should be rewarded for more skilled play. Facerolling a class, any class, shouldn't get you the same results as an advanced player playing an advanced class. While you can 'balance' the roles any skilled player should be able to offset that 'balance' even if its marginally.
  13. I personally never had my Jugg to the lv where unstoppable was something I could even use. So I never played with it. Transition to now, it never being something I used I was able to seamlessly transition to what we have now. Its fantastic. Only problem I have is solo queuing-I'm doing what I need to do and think a juggy could get a heal?
  14. You're never going to be top of the dps charts. I mean, much much later you can be smashing (Rage) for crazy amounts and putting up crazy numbers but lv 21 Vengeance is lacking all its 'tools' for dps. Which are bleeds. You should have Shout bleed at this point, but you probably went with Shien Form. At any rate, once you get Impale, Rampage, Destroyer, and Shatter you can really crank out some good numbers. With taunts, AoE slows, Stuns, Juggs are great IMO. But at lv21 no chance you'll be putting out top numbers. This isnt' the class for that. I more often then not sit in the middle of dps but top for 'score/metals' because of the 'extra' stuff Juggies bring to the table. There are much more experianced Jugs out there though, so take what I say with a grain of salt. I might have just made all that up
