  1. OP here... A common question asked of my post, for clarification purposes, is why I am "Coming to this conclusion now" or what the problem is with the content in the game now. The answer to me is rather simple if a bit long winded: I have long known the issues the game faces, but I always had one reason or another to keep me here; when I got bored of one thing I went and found something else to keep me busy. For instance, when I felt I had my fill of Warzones I went and learned Starfighter. Also... I mean... lightsabers. Yet when you have been doing that for 7 years, EVERYTHING gets old... and then they release the pitiful Dantooine and Ossus. I fully understand that they are just filler to keep us occupied until something meatier comes along, but I have endured nothing BUT filler since 4.0; I try to block out KOTFE and KOTET... Perhaps 6.0 will be the start of something better? I can only hope. But I will not be returning this year as I have 37 Classes and Jobs to level up on one character in FFXIV. [EDIT] I would also like to add that this post is a personalized reason for leaving. I understand that people might be enjoying SWTOR right now, but one only needs to look at what remains of the very depleted server population to know that I am far from the only one that feels the way I do. Case in point: It took the devs of SWTOR how long to finish GotM? Two-three years? ESO, alone, releases 2-3 new raid and flashpoint equivalents EVERY year. The same can be said of FFXIV.
  2. When cancelling my subscription a moment ago, I decided to put more than a simple, one word answer into the full description portion of my reasons. This post isn't meant to be whiny, nor is it meant to be a "Doomsday for SWTOR" message; I suppose this is just a roundabout way of saying I to SWTOR, "I love you, and I want to love you more, but you're making it too hard". And no, none of you can have my stuff; I already gave it all away. I know this cancel subscription message is going to get lost in the masses, but I am going to put down my full reason in here just in case someone with some sort of influence actually sees this. The reason I am leaving for FFXIV is certainly because all of my friends have moved to it, but it's also for a much larger reason. Put simply: This game is so far behind in content creation compared to other games. When MMOs like ESO and FFXIV release expansions like Elsweyr and Shadowbringers, respectively, how am I to stick with swtor when all it has released in the past year of any substance are two planets that are as small, if not smaller, than CZ? I love swtor, I will ALWAYS love swtor; but it is now too far behind the content curve compared to other games. I desperately want to see this game's studio given the resources and manpower it needs to make this game great again, but I can't wait around bored out of my mind until that happens. So do you want to know what the game needs more of? Crafting, Flashpoints, Live Events, Open World PVP Areas, Operations, Story Quests, and Warzones. It needs more of everything if it is to survive against game studios like Zenimax and Square who learn from their own mistakes. Farewell, and may the Force be with you.
  3. There are so many things that have me thankful for this expansion. Many of the quality of life changes to the guild structure, though glitch in a couple places, has been amazing. Finally have a REAL planet to explore, with datacrons, relevant lore (About Jedi, not some ancient race of robots I never cared about), and a bazillion dailies... really, this expansion has brought back the excitement for questing that I missed ever since 4.0 dropped.
  4. I see a lot of love for PVE and PVP in conquesting. Are there any guild perks in the works for guilds that focus on role play, considering there are some very large ones with people that don't do conquest at all? I don't particularly mind RP being left out, from a certain point of view I understand it, but with pve and pvp guilds getting all these new toys, it would be great if rp people could get something like a bunch of new emotes, more non-phased areas they can access for rp, or something along those lines. RP guilds exist, too, and on Star Forge I would be willing to bet there are more of us than PVE or PVP guilds.
  5. If it's intentional, it's working. Cause I really want to know what's up with this guy; he better be as slippery as his preceding reputation.
  6. It seems he has escaped once more into the galaxy; I just found him on Imp Fleet. I'm assuming this is unintended? Already reported it as a bug just in case.
  7. Friendly, Determined, Active. <Galactic Enclave> is a PVE focused/RP casual community of gamers ranging in skill from the casual to the hardcore. New to the game or the Republic faction and looking to learn the ropes? We're more than happy to teach! Perhaps you're a veteran and are just looking for a good group of people to run with? We're excited to have you! With tons of unique events such as auctions, speeder races, and our very own version of Hutt Ball: We pride ourselves on being a tightnit, family-like group of players. Come check out our weekly events, as well! Players always have something going on for you to hop in with from raids to RP.
  8. We'd be happy to have you! If you haven't already, you can contact us through enjin or the game. My name on both is Zijaa; hit me up if you'd like to talk.
  9. Considering that everything from those vendors is BoP, the best option is to probably just remove them. Although the easier fix would be to just fix the accessibility of cartel certs. I'd really like that meditation hover chair. Certainly won't be buying one with credits, cause apparently they're worth one billion credits.
  10. Will there, by chance, ever be a change to the drop rate of the certs? They haven't dropped from cartel crates in ages, yet most of the cartel bazaar items require quite a lot of them.
  11. One of the things that I have always liked about this guild is that we take every precaution to ensure our activities are balanced and engaging for our membership. Having been an officer since the beginning, maybe only one or two breaks during the three years, I've seen first hand the effort that the rest of our officers put in to our discussions and debates on what to do next. I used to really dislike how long it took us to come to a conclusion, but I grew to appreciate it for what it was: Making sure we came up with the best events and activities we possibly could. Even better is the willingness I've seen from our officers to go back to the drawing board if our membership doesn't feel a new set of trials or a certain kind of event suits them. Which brings me to the second thing I love about this guild, and is probably the most important to me. The guild really is like a second family; sure we have our arguments just like any other, but from the top rank of the guild all the way to the bottom, everyone is involved in decision making for the next step in the guild. It's really made it a fun environment to make new friends, and keep old ones. If you enjoy a layed back environment with the occasional hardcore push in certain game areas, then I believe this guild is for you. We've strived to create a reputation for being friendly and welcoming to new and veteran players alike, regardless of where you come from or what your interests are. As always, May the Force be with You
  12. Thanks for the tips! I went back to the drawing board and found I was still operating on an old rotation; it's been a long time since I had to meet DPS checks ; but I got my damage up to 8200.
  13. Despite having played Balance for going on 6 years now, I'm always trying to question whether or not I'm still doing things right. So I wanted to ask the players, here, what sort of dummy parses they've gotten with Balance Sage. As a point of reference: My gear score is 242, with a smattering of 246s in there, and my highest dummy parse is close enough to 7700 to round up. I also realize that dummy parses aren't the perfect way to gauge if you're doing it right, but I nonetheless practice on the dummy often. My recent Nefra Parse, while also taking care of the droids, was 5940. I ask simply to see if there's anyone around my gear range that is doing more than marginally better, and perhaps how to improve that way.
  14. It's stupid!! They took Re-usable stims away BECAUSE everyone was doing only that Crew Skill, and it wasn't even required at that time! Now they're making it required? Of course everyone is going to do Biochem now; it'll save them tons of credits in the long run. Bioware pls
