  1. It's been quite some time since I last played, but wanted to try out the new expansion. Unfortunately it seems that instead of getting fun new toys, we are losing half our kit in the name of pruning "ability bloat"? Am I reading this right or are we now going to be forced to choose between heat sinks and trauma regulator? Power shield or mobility (thrill of the hunt). This doesn't sound like an expansion, it sounds like a MASSIVE nerf. Please tell me their is some method to this madness and we're not just losing critical dcd's and utility and calling it an expansion?
  2. Pretty sure stormwatch just beats out eyrins haste regardless of content from the conversations I've had about the two Also I'm not sure meteor brawler is the go to, I think right price is still pretty equal, i think it's more the spec you're playing that makes that choice. Though, that was before the right price nerf. Even after that it was only doing a 1s internal cd when the patch notes said 3s so at that point it would still be about the same, did it ever get "fixed" to 3s cd or was it a patch notes typo and only supposed to be 1s internal cd to begin with?
  3. Remember when they did? I don't feel like going back to the days of 2 fps. 20 in warzones is already bad enough
  4. I mean, who actually likes huttball? the worst change this game made was adding a third one. As to the point, that's more of a player choice than matchmaking. stacking too many healers andtanks was how nothing died in earlier expansions. However they may have course corrected a bit too much in true BW fashion.
  5. yes, overall numbers have increased. this is directly linked to dps numbers increasing by much more. for each 10-15k hps I see in a wz, it's more often than not matched by a dps with a second dps not far behind. In this setting, in raw numbers, healers are worth slightly less than a single dps.
  6. mercs arent even healing all that much more relatively speaking, it's just they got the best set/tactical combo which gives them a large uptime on not being interrupted. Even healing scan spam doesn't keep up with the free flow of giant crits every dps now gets though
  7. the main problem I have is there doesn't seem to be a way to realistically keep up. Like most classes will hit multiple abilities in the 50-80k range while I'm over there hoping my heal will crit for 40k because the 20k non crit just isn't effective. I had a regs match the other day where I healed 10k hps and took over 7 million damage. I don't mention that to brag or because I think that is some super high number, quite the opposite actually. It's to point out that there is just sooo much damage being pumped out right now, healers are less and less effective at even being a stalling method anymore, let alone contributors. I know one of the best bg mercs on the server (with relative certainty, I've yet to see one better) and one of his highs is a bit over 15k in regs. More often than not, there will be a dps matching that and a second dps not far behind. It's the age old discussion that's been going on in this game for years. one side thinks that a healer should die to a single dps while the other states that if a healer goes down against a single dps, what's the point of bringing one at all? just being another dps and it's a net gain.
  8. How did it get nerfed? If anything it got a slight buff, with explosive fuel having lower cd from alac, and the 4 piece change. Unless you mean the right price set, but iirc the bonus you were previously referring to was the firefall procs.
  9. why do you need to save up? there is only a couple of sets per class, it's usually pretty clear what one will be used. Only some cases like where sorcs healer set(s) kind of sucks do you even actually have to think about whether you want to go the 4 piece and another 2 piece for more alacrity or maybe even just run gathering storm on healer too. For most classes it's a lot more straightforward
  10. pretty sure stormwatch beats out eyrins haste
  11. Id assume they don't want to step on anni's toes. currently hemo ticks all dots 3 times on ravage and you can double ravage. anni tactical ticks just rupture, but slash, viscous throw and dual saber throw can proc it, the latter allowing an AoE proc. I agree juggs are just straight up bad (they have been for a while, which is sad because I enjoy me some vengeance), but if you add too much to the tactical it just becomes just a better version of anni rather than comparable.
