  1. There's a lot of us who want this answered. I assume they are working on it.
  2. Only one character that I am trying to move. We purchased the slots legitimately, I don't understand why it's blocking us. Must be unintended, surely. I submitted a ticket anyway.
  3. Begeren Colony RP-PvE West 13 Unavailable. I have two open slots on this server purchased using the Cartel Market in order to move my APAC character to this server. So... what gives?
  4. This. I'm frankly embarrassed by some of the behaviour in this thread. Let's keep it civil guys.
  5. Objectively, there are no other MMOs that have APAC servers, and I'm sure it's that way for a reason; cost. It was nice to have these servers and enjoy their benefits. But I also see how unlikely it was that the servers would remain given the overall changes to the game and it's population in the last year. It sucks to lose something that you love. But let's not lose sight of the great memories and communities that were created thanks to these servers, which no other publisher has had the stones to provide for us, even if we are losing them sooner than we would like.
  6. I have been playing the game sine Early Access, with the exception of a 3-4 month break in mid 2012. I have played almost exclusively on NA West Coast servers; originally Ajunta Pall and now Begeren Colony. My main play style is Warzone PVP and a little questing. My ping usually sits at the high 180s to low 240s on a bad day. I have no problem doing well in PVP in this climate. I don't often have long waits for queue pops, except for very late at night and even then usually less than 10 mins. On weekends it's very quick to pop. I lost some character names during the original server merge process, which I admit was upsetting, but I have moved on and still love my characters. I tried playing on the APAC servers at launch and while I noticed that the ping made a difference in PVP, it was not such that I felt crippled going back to the NA server. Ultimately I left the APAC servers after a while due to the higher population on Begeren Colony making the game much more enjoyable. I really hope that you guys stick with the game. I understand a lot of the frustration - I went through some similar issues when Ajunta Pall closed down and felt rather betrayed and angry. But it all worked out, I'm happy in the game and with my server. I'm certainly not here to tell you that you're wrong to be upset, just to share my experience. Cheers.
  7. I play the Trooper Vanguard (mirror class to the Bounty Hunter Powertech) as my main character and I love it in PvP and have no problems in solo-PvE content. The class playstyle is melee-close range, though you have some ranged attacks as well. In terms of area attacks you have Flamethrower (cone AOE) and Death from Above (targetted AOE). Gadgets practically DEFINE the Bounty Hunter archetype - jet packs, flame throwers, missiles and big armor. What's more, you have two viable DPS trees that are both strong in PvP. You also have the option of trying out a PvP tank which is a viable playstyle in SWTOR.
  8. 50 PvP gear has a lot of expertise on it and that is the key. That's why they are so difficult to take down.
  9. I agree. I enjoyed PvP last week. Now I get facerolled most games by fifties and the warzone component of the game is no longer fun at all.
  10. I absolutely agree that communication and teamwork are of the utmost importance. I've participated in 20-30 groups beating 50 premades due to good teamwork, no doubt. But from my perspective as a level 32 it doesn't change that there needs to be an incentive for me as a levelling player and an incentive for the high levels to engage in PvP, and as more people hit 50 the incentive for levelling players is being eroded because it is more and more difficult for them to make a contribution.
  11. Watching your Trooper Spec video right now, really good info. Re: Assault Specialist tree. I think the reason you run out of ammo quicker playing this tree is that Incendiary Grenade costs 3 Ammo - it is an expensive ability compared to Gut which costs 2 Ammo, and since it has the 30 meter range and no cooldown it is very tempting to spam it around on multiple targets for the DoT. I have to be very careful when I am playing Assault Spec not to over-use it.
  12. Wrong. That's not what I said at all, please learn to readingcomprehension,k? The developers are using bolster as a means of lumping every player of every level into the same teaparty. If they plan to do this then the playing field should ideologically be reasonably equal. Not exactly the same, but ballpark. Otherwise what is the point of lower levels playing in Warzones at all if they're going to be annihilated in every fight? Where's the incentive for them? If the devs want to continue to have everyone in the same field, the mechanic needs to operate in a way that allows 50s some advantage but allow the levelling characters to remain competetive. Otherwise whats the point at all for someone who is still levelling to participate in warzones? They get destroyed by the enemy and likely derided by their higher level team mates for bringing the team down. Does that sound like an inclusive, rewarding game system to you?
  13. Bolster helps a level 15 be competitive with a level 35. Bolster, as we have all experienced, does not help a level 35 be competitive with a level 50 in any kind of decent gear. Unfortunately today I have come across two level 50 premades on my server. That's four level 50s each of whom takes the combined efforts of several lower level players to take ONE of them down. Bolster is not working. The "10%" edge that PvP gear was supposed to give players was clearly a lie and/or miscalculated severely. With more players hitting 50 every day, Warzone PvP is getting worse by the hour.
  14. As has been said before, Huttball is the solution to cutting down PvP queue times where population imbalance exists. I'm afraid if you don't like it, roll Republic.
