  1. In theory, GSF seems like an awesome idea. However getting beat over and over again isn't fun. It's obvious that players have wayyyy more experience playing this that me. Their ships are wayyyy more upgraded than mine. If I have played 50 battles, the Empire has lost 49 of them because there has only been one time I have won a match. We did come very close on another match losing by maybe 4 or 5 points. That was a lot of fun. I don't think GSF is for me. Seems that it is very unfriendly to new players.
  2. I can also get people new to raiding into it easier w/ a larger group. I guess it's because they feel they don't carry as much responsibility when they are 10% of the DPS versus 25%, or 25% of the heal team vs 50% . . . just a thought.
  3. I wouldn't mind some UI modding add on, but I don't want a Anyretardcanraid addon like Deadly Boss Mods. Cause then the Devs factor in the use of those mods when making content.
  4. You've missed the point. It's not about how well YOU did in a 16s, it's about how easy 8 is compared to 16. I totally agree w/ you about doing it for the challenge. We have beat first 2 bosses in EV on 16 and it felt good to win those fights. But we struggle w/ the trash between the 1st and 2nd boss (I'm sure we could do something better) But when you have that option of getting the same reward for much less effort . . . man it's hard to resist!!!
  5. The thing is, I don't even mind the bosses being a bit tougher . . . But is it just me or is the trash between the first and second boss in 16m EV the worst?? Stupid droids . . .

  7. Well written post. I fully support this thread. I hope someone from Bioware is paying attention. I love this game, I want it to succeed. But it needs work.
  8. He has bugged on us like that before, but ours was a heartbreaker at like 5%.
  9. You could do 8m Ops w/ only 1 tank. No doubt. But we do it w/ 2 tanks. One is just designated a off-tank and helps w/ all the little things having 2 tanks makes easier (as listed in this thread). For us, having an off-tank has helped significantly more than extra dps.
  10. Yeah, this is what we ended up doing on the 2nd boss we killed last night. Worked fine. You just can't EVER autoloot a boss and think you can just "Pass on All, and we'll sort it out". I just hate the flawed system as it could be a turn-off or frusterating to groups that don't know what to expect since it differs from the normal version. I want this game to be good. I want this game to succeed. I don't want little things like this, cause there are a lot, to errode our player base down . . .
  11. I guess it just depends on your guild size. Right now I think a 16m group is perfect for my guild. 25m would be too many to organize, but 8s just seem like not enough slots. So looking like we will do multiple 8s each week. What I DON'T want to happen is for our group to become fragmented into cliques. Where only certain people group w/ other certain people. I can't believe at one time we used to do 40s in WoW . . .
  12. LOOT: 8s = 16s DIFFICULTY: 8s < 16s In fact . . . DIFFICULTY (including trash): Hardmode 8s < Regular 16s however . . . LOOT: Hardmode 8s > regular 16s So why in the world bother . . .
  13. Killed our first boss in HM EV tonight. Loot is not auto assigned, so we passed on everything to discuss who is getting what. After everyone passed, ALL the loot went to the guy that looked at the loot on the boss. WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN?? This is game is so cool . . . but dumb stuff like this makes me so mad.
  14. I know there are tons of things they need to work on, but I just thought these would be pretty simple, easy to code items that would make the Operation experience better.
  15. 1.) Ready Check 2.) Make the target icons/markers bindable to a key 3.) Ability to right click a name on my guild list/tab and invite to group or send a whisper. (This works for friends btw) 4.) Target of Target - (Or some other way to tell if the giant faceless flying circular droid is actually being tanked by me or launching bombs at the healer) 5.) Combat log - Because I need to know what happened on that last pull . . . Did I get attacked by a ability I was supposed to avoid or did healers just drop the ball? PS- Give us a reason to run 16 man instead of 8 man, otherwise don't bother. 16s feel more epic though, I'd hate to see them go away. But why suffer through harder trash and the extra pain in the rear organizing it? Give me something . . . give me anything! PSS- Loved the Soa fight in EV. Enjoyed it!
