  1. Torn between Guardian, Sentinel, or Shadow as the second combat style for my Jedi Sage. I definitely want something saber-focused to balance out the Force-heavy playstyle of Sage. I've always loved Shadow/Assassin for the stealth and overall feel of the class. Guardian is probably my favorite class overall but I already have 2. Sentinel I am less familiar with, but I hear it does well in terms of damage output.
  2. I'd go Assassin. Juggernaut and Assassin are my two favorite classes in the game, so you can't go wrong with either. But Assassin just has a much more complete toolkit if your focus is casual play/story/PvE, etc. Assassin's get stealth, stuns, abilities to "put to sleep" an enemy for a minute, force speed, and Deception assassins get an ability that essentially functions similarly to Juggernaut's leap. AND you can use it in stealth mode.
  3. Hey all, so I have 4 inquisitors, (two sorc and two assassins, one of each as male and female). They're all finished with their class story but I'm wanting to just take two to gear up for pvp, ops/fps, and run through the makeb-->SoR stories. I'm having a tough time deciding which two to bring up. I love both AC's gameplay wise, and I also really enjoy both voice actors. Thematically, which gender do you feel fits better with each AC? Should I go fem Sorc, male Assassin, or female Assassin, male Sorc?
  4. There's just something about that OG music that really gets me hyped. Not a huge fan of the new music. I'd be great to have the option to toggle which music we hear on the character select screen.
  5. Not sure if you are still needing help, but here's what I would recommend: Jedi Knight - this is the flagship Republic class story, and as others have said, is essentially KOTOR 3. The events of this class story also heavily affect the events within SWTOR and set the stage for future expansion stories. Smuggler/Consular - If you enjoyed Imperial Agent and Sith Inquisitor, these are the Republic counterparts respectively. The Smuggler story is much more of a Han Solo-esque adventure than a serious life and death plot like the others. Consular starts slow but you really feel like an accomplished Jedi by the end. Sith Warrior - I know you said you wanted to go Republic, but Sith Warrior has probably my favorite class story of the whole game. If you want a non-stop power trip, go with the warrior.
  6. I’m a big fan of the two Inquisitor voice actors, and haven’t fully played thru the whole class story yet. For story (class story and expansion stories) which voice and gender fits better with each subclass? Male Sorcerer and female Assassin, or female Sorcerer and male Assassin?
  7. Thanks for the answer! For future playthroughs, what is the point where you must commit to a relationship with Lana?
  8. My main is a Jedi Guardian who has done all of RotHC, SoR, KOTFE/KOTET, but nothing after KOTET. I never romanced Lana because I assumed Kira would be coming back at some point....well, I'm tired of waiting. Only problem is, since I didn't romance Lana at all yet, I am wondering if I missed my chance. Is there any "on-ramp" to begin a romance with Lana in any of the content that has released post-KOTET?
  9. Hey all, kind of a "new player" question... I am recently returned to the game and running through some of the class stories on new characters I have boosted to level 70. The new classes I boosted all get a nice "basic" level 70 gear set, and then I just equip armor to the aesthetic slots over it but keeping the lvl 70 set equipped for stats. However, some of my original classes are not rocking good gear for level 70. How can I get a nice basic set of level 70 gear for them so they can function decently during KOTET/KOTFE?
  10. On my Mercenary, I used to have two pistols that, when fired, made TIE-fighter laser sounding effects. Are there any Cartel Market or in-game pistols that make this sound? Would love to grab a set for my Merc
  11. I have been playing thru the class storylines again since returning to the game, and only have a couple left to go. I already played thru the Trooper storyline back around launch, but have since deleted my Trooper character. I am looking to go thru the story one more time, if only to unlock the companion bonuses for my account. However, I am torn between VG or Commando. I have a Mercenary BH that I love, so the playstyle of mando is very appealing to me. However...aesthetically, I hate the cannon that Commando's use. On the other hand, I love the "clone trooper/republic trooper" motif, and using a blaster rifle plus some of the armors in this game gives a really great aestetic for that, but I remember the visual look of the abilities was not nearly as good as a PT, which I may make in the future. So long story short....which of the subclasses would you recommend? Has VG abilities gotten better/cooler looking since a few years ago? Should I go with VG for the class look aesthetic, or commando and deal with the cannon?
  12. Hey there, welcome back to the game! As you know, one of the biggest differences off the bat is whether you have one or two lightsabers. I have both a Juggernaut and Marauder (and Guardian and Sentinel), so I hope this will help. Both classes are very fun and can push out great melee-range damage. Both have excellent mobility and can use their force leaps to zoom around the battlefield. For what its worth, I prefer Guardian/Juggernaut to Sentinel/Marauder, but you can't go wrong with either. The biggest difference, to me, is the flow of combat. Sentinels/Marauders need to get comfortable with the "danger zone". They are berserkers who put out tons of damage but need to keep up a constant flow of battle to use their self heals, mitigation skills, and damage bonuses. As a pure damage class, they have extra skills like a dual saber throw that Guardians/Juggernauts don't have, and have some better AOE options. Guardians/Juggernauts have a similar feel, but they seem to have more defensive options and slightly less "berserker" damage abilities. They make up for this though by having very high single target damage, and the ability to respec as a tank if you are interested in that. TL;DR: Both are excellent melee damage classes. If you are ever interested in playing as a tank, go Guard/Jugg. If you are solely focused on damage, go Sent/Mara. Aesthetically, if you prefer having one saber or having two sabers, go with whichever class gives you that aesthetic.
  13. I have a Merc (which I love), but I'm looking to roll a Trooper. I played both Vanguard and Commando to around level 40 back around launch (ended up using an extra lvl 70 boost on my commando but I never really played it after that), but I haven't touched the Trooper class in years. How are they now? I don't mind doubling up on AC's (going Merc/mando), but what would you recommend? I'm flexible and enjoy both ranged and melee combat, so that really isn't a decision making factor for me. How do you like the aesthetics? I really enjoy the look of a Vanguard with an assault rifle (I love the look of clone troopers so this one looks great), however, I have heard that VG can be very bland to play. On the other hand, I love the play style of Commando, but find that Mercenary has far better animations and I enjoy the dual blasters better than compared to Commando's cannon. Which one would you recommend, given that I haven't played either since around Hutt Cartel?
  14. This is the last piece I need for the set, and thus far have not found it on GTN. If you have an extra set of these and willing to sell, please reply here or PM me and we can work out a trade. Thanks!
  15. I'm trying to decide between my mara or jugg to focus on for endgame content. I'll be mostly doing PvP and trying to hit the weekly command rank/goals. Maybe some hard mode Fps but probably won't do many ops. What are your thoughts, which adds more value? I know Juggs can tank, but my main is a Sin so I already have that, if that matters.
