  1. You're retarded. TD is fully affected by armor and RS is affected by defense and your accuracy. You have to give a ton of stats up if you want 105% accuracy so enjoy the deflects all over the place. Surge change is going to wreck this spec anyway since it has awful sustain. Dots can be cleansed and spamming flame burst is the only thing 'unstoppable' about the spec, which is a whole 1-2k damage. Is the spec good for particular things, yes.
  2. Why do people even bother saying they have bad survivibility because of light armor. In that screen shot he has about 8% less mitigation than my powertech in dps stance. That's 8% less than HEAVY armor. That's nothing, especially with all the armor penetration in the game.
  3. Yep, they ignored the real issues with huttball. Inqs/Consulars can also completely bypass the bridge in voidstar right now with their speed skill. They probably aren't going to fix that 'exploit' use of class skills though lol.
  4. 1: Spec 21/2/18 instead of 31 in shield tech. 2: Buy 4 piece supercommando armor and take out the tanking stats from it to replace them with crit/surge and/or power/surge stats from dps pieces. 3: Buy dps offpieces. You'll still be the worst pvp tank, but you'll do much better than 31 ST would. You'll have to relearn heat management though.
  5. Well, a shame to see this fixed but no fix for what actually makes huttball awful, aka sorc stacking and charging with the ball.
  6. So just found out inquisitors/consulars can actually bypass the first voidstar bridge. Since the red walls don't cover the middle of either side, you can actually just sprint and jupm across the middle gap and get the next door for free. Not sure if that's intended or not but figured I'd get the word out so that it can get fixed if needed before rated warzones come out. Also please stop catering to sorcs/sages in every warzone lol. They are balanced normally but you keep making every warzone have things that favor them, waiting on an alderaan bug for them next.
  7. I could maybe see 6k with bloodthirst on but I've only ever seen a 5.2k with exp pot+power adrenal and BT. Have 352 power before adrenal, 1400 aim, and 84.5% surge. Might be able to hit 6k once I get 4 piece pve and reslot it along with power BM weapon rather than crit champ though. What is your gear setup? Either way 800k (and 6k crits) is super rare and more a function of lots of heals+aoe than anything pyro specific. But ya 300k-500k is pretty common depending on warzone.
  8. PTs have high burst, bad sustain, and bad survivability. Every 2-3 minutes you can pretty much call a kill but the rest is pure dice rolling. They also don't kill tanks very well because TD is mitigated by armor and RS is mitigated by defense/shielding. Spamming FB is the best way to kill tanks but racks up heat extremely fast. They also run out of steam extremely easily in group fights with 2 or more healers because you usually won't just blow somebody up without using vent heat and then you have to use tons of rapid shots. Definitely not overpowered. They can lose to just about any well-played class and they can beat any well played class. A lot of it can be RS reset dice rolls also. One tip I'll give you about beating PT pyros: Look for the buff animations (poking their leg, looking at their wrist thing, and/or the trinket animations) and then pop a defensive cd asap when you get a flashing red bomb on you. The burst will happen 2 GCDs after that red bomb so you can negate a lot of TD+RS by using defensive cds smartly.

  10. This is a bug that literally doesn't matter. It adds a strategy that has many counters to a huttball game. I can't even imagine how boring MVC2 or fighters in general would have been had every bug that added strategy got fixed. "Omg he canceled a kick into a fireball, nerf that."
  11. If they are too close to the score line when you grapple they cross the z-axis detection for scoring and make the goal. The other way it fails is if you are too close to the edge and they just hit you and drop to the bottom.
  12. 'Goalie' tactic will hardly affect your games. They have to keep somebody up there to be effective. That person will pretty much be getting almost 0 medals if the game is competitive at all. If the person doesn't need medals (aka he's BM) then he would be significantly more useful actually out on the field anyway. If people try to die on purpose then you are simply gambling you'll get out before they get too close to the goal. If you can't get 1 extra person to run with you to cc him when you are playing 8v7, well that's on your team pretty much and you likely wouldn't be scoring if it were 8v8 anyway. It's also very unreliable. Pugs love to fill resolve bars on ball carriers. Any ranged cc stops it. Passing the ball to a teammate or the pt/sin will stop it. There are much more pressing issues to worry about than some tactic that might cost your bad pug team a goal once every 20 games. (Not calling the people in here bad, but a team that can't adjust to help you out when you're carrying is bad.) It happened once to my premade because I let our carrier go to score since he was clear. Next time I just went with him and pulled the pt down.
  13. Check out bounty hunter lvl50 pvp armor sometime. I went from looking like a mandalorian at 40 to looking like I just got out of a fight with a junkyard at 50.
  14. IMO: Power>surge>crit You do want a decent amount of surge, but BM implants+offhand+1-2 crit/surge main pieces is fine. After that, get crit to about 30% with IA buff and go full power imo. Surge starts hitting pretty big DRs quickly. I'm still kind of up in the air about accuracy for pvp. It only matters for rail shot, but RS is a big part of pyro's damage. The stats you lose to get 105% ranged accuracy are a lot though. =( Still kind of testing for exact setup. What my current plan is: BM elim implants/ear/belt/oh/wrist/mh. BM crit+surge relic and aim matrix cube. 4 piece columi (no access to rakata) combat tech all modded for max accuracy+power. 1 BM main piece with crit+surge modded. Aim stim + power adrenal or warzone pots depending on which adds more damage. (I'm guessing warzone pots.) As far as burst combo goes: IM->TD->FB->RS->RP You want the flame burst in there for a few reasons. One it gets CGC rolling which means you get an additional 400-1k on the rail shot. The other reason is it lets your RS hit at the same time as your TD goes off which means less time to react for healers.
