  1. I never thought I'd say this, but, I'm going back to Warhammer Online! gg all. This was the only class and only pvp spec keeping me in the game. I liked the big crits, which is the only point here. waiting 2 whole global cooldowns longer every time is going to turn this gimmick spec into kind of a waiting around taunter. Not interested.
  2. Who is we? I came into this thread at Page 98. I don't even know what your original point was. Is this really 98 pages of actual topic debate? Impressive! But I guess I'm arguing over gear progression in PvP? What you are asking for is a different game. You want HALO arena but not first person shooter style. Even Call of Duty on Xbox offers FPS players perks to win easier and go on kill streaks with ease. League of Legends offers better avatars with better skills to win with. I think this thread is stupid now, why are we arguing over progression in an mmo. It used to be PVE progression equaled PvP progression in these games. Now it's changed and seperated the two genres, I thought that was a huge leap in progression systems. But now we are saying PvP should have none because I'm scared I'll lose without it? There is a game coming out by EA called Wrath of Heroes. It is basically an MMO arena. No perks of advantages of playing more than others. Good Luck.
  3. um...yeah use it. It's only available when someone is trying to kill you. Why wouldn't you use it if your focus bar is fat with yellow bubbles? It's not on the global cooldown so I dont get what you mean by rotation because your rotations mean your typical cycle of skills. Riposte is anytime and free burst if you can afford it. I use it 2-3x a warzone and often at the end of a 1v1 fight I need to win.
  4. u throw out my entire post of valid reasons because I said I also like being infamous. That was gravy bro. Who doesn't like being infamous. It's not an in-adequacy I'm filling, it's called vid-eo game. I like being a hero in a fictional world. a real life fantasy novel character. Again, this is just 1 benefit to having better gear in pvp I have enjoyed.

  6. Beautiful bleeding heart speach man. Although your set of perceptions on this whole pvp community doesn't encompass everyone. I have skills and I still want the gear. What I'm REALLY asking for as you say, is my turn. I had nub gear, I got rolled, then I finally progressed my gear to the point where I started winning, and then winning easily. Even against good players. It's a rite of passage to being on top and when you finally do get premade vs. premade and you have the most epic of battles, it taste so sweet, win or lose. Then there's those times where you should have lost, but because of gear, you are able to survive against all odds, beating 1v3, or 2v5 fights, where you push your gear and consumables and skills, rotations, cooldowns to the ultimate max, come out on top, and just sit there in ventrilo with your buddy marveling for the next 10 minutes on how you pulled that off. I also like being infamous. I like seeing people not engage me just because of my name. Even if they have the advantage. mmo's are progression. If someone wants to come out with arena based mmorpg pvp with no perks I'll try it. Like that Warhammer heros of whatever,..I'll try it and enjoy it. But for now, yeah, let me have my armor bro and keeping queueing until you get me. Let's dance.
  7. Focus spec. Ya this is every day for me on my guardian. It's pretty fun and good for 1v1 in ilum too. I've killed some of the best sorcs and others on my server just leap, dot, aoe, push, leap, choke, aoe, execute throw. It's the easiest rotation and kills nearly 95% of the players I find. Good players find a way to mess up this rotation and then I'm always behind trying for the win. So it's kind of a 1-trick pony and easy to disrupt if you know how. Fun big crits though, not that it's greater dps than other classes but good for burst, and great splash aoe damage.

  9. I lol'd. I just think it's funny not even valor rank 100 will let you dye your hair. there's no point to the system now. You should get +1 Presence for hitting valor 100. At least. Is getting +10 to all stats by jumping around for an hour too OP also, because it involves time.

  11. This is exactly correct. I knew there wouldn't be much at launch but was hoping for plans to involve the planets in a pvp story. Let me try to fight for Belsavis and hold a point once a day. At the end of the day, which ever faction controls the most planets gets a bonus? I mean there's still a ton they can do, but they couldn't even fix ilum, so i am truly letting go tonight. This thread was my last death throe. edit: Can you imagine that????? You get a holocall like, 'imps are moving on Tatooine, head there and try to stop them from taking some base (located in contested area). And your holocall is based on your rated warzone rank or something. And simultaneously 3 planets are all available for capture and remain caputed for 24 hours. So you and your realm have to decide what planet to zerg or split up and fight on. there could be like 2 hour breaks, and base the assault time on the server prime time. Aion had similar 'timed' raids but it would at least be Star WARS.

  13. qft. Even PvP servers have been fat-free. You go out and actually find a fight, and the guy takes a warzone pop, runs into his story area, dies and rezzes in the same spot, or kites you behind a pillar and casts a 0.5 second speeder mount. And Ilum, nuff said.
