  1. Not being able to post at all had the opposite effect on me. I would have to go to reddit or youtube or twitch and ask, and then get mad and not sub, out of spite. These new devs are letting us post questions shows me they actually care about the community and that will actually cause me to resub when I have some free time to game again.
  2. I have subbed for years on end, and then had a question here or there, but couldnt ask without subbing, and decided to not sub due to the stupidity of silencing potential customers before they became customers. Just wanted to thank the new devs for making some right decisions and when I have time to game again, I will have to resub to show my thanks to the developers.(the new team, not the EA team) My question is this, Does paying via Steam work? I read mixed reviews, and I linked the game to my steam, I have a steam wallet I would like to use when I sub. Is there any issues doing that? Thanks.
  3. exactly! And 27 fps is sadly on the higher end of warzone fps. And your PC should be able to hit 60 + fps in nearly every pc game today aside from early access titles on Steam. This game, is backed by Electronic Arts, developed by Bioware and owned by Disney. The only thing of quality, is the speed of forum bans when you break a rule and the story telling in swtor. Aside from that its all a hot mess. But its the only swtor mmo and only space related mmo aside from eve, so I dont have much of a choice =(
  4. I have a i7 6700K EVGA GTX 1080ti 32Gb ddr4 ram Installed on SSD PC 2 FX 8350 GTX 980 16GB ddr3 Installed on SSHD Both pcs get 120 fps easy....UNTIL...PVP. Then both pcs tank as low as 20 fps. Sure they get 60 + fps, but the fps goes all bi polar when in pvp. At no other time does my FPS drop. I'd be a happy gamer if they fixed that.
  5. https://ibb.co/inDW2G Pretty sure if I tried, I could destabilize the GTN for a few hours and turn that into several billions worth of credit. But meh, I have like everything, and some twice or 3x. Nothing more to buy, so just collecting the coins til something comes up I dont own. These coins are from several years of being a loyal subscriber and referral. Would have more but gave about 100k worth of prizes away as a Sith Santa event.
  6. What the hell is up with this community? I am 39 for christ sake, why would I want to troll? When I uninstall the program, it leaves the game folder in the uninstall section. Everything I have read so far, is saying the only way is to remove the left over registry. CCleaner is a great little program, I use it, but it doesnt remove it. I am just gonna reinstall the game, and when the time comes to uninstall it in a few month, Ill record the process and show the issue I am having. Seems the only way to maybe get any assistance with it, The issue is more OCD I guess. Picture you have a 6 pack. You drink it. then you go to the fridge later, your 6 pack is there. But every time you go to grab a can, the fridge wont let you remove the cans. Same thing here. I have an icon in the uninstall programs location that says the game is there. When I go to unistall it, it wont let me, as the game is already missing. I was just trying to figure out if there was a proper EA uninstall tool or something. Not sure why people accuse me of trolling. Its an honest question.
  7. its stopping me because when the time comes to uninstall the game, it will leave program name in the uninstall or change program as i explained in my post. No game or program I install leaves a name that cant be uninstalled. Only SWTOR does this. The game is actually gone, but for whatever reason, the game name is still in the uninstall section. I like to keep my computer clean, and having an icon of a program no longer installed is a bit annoying. So Ill need to install a program to uninstall a program completely? Is this something EA/Bioware will never fix? Much like how they never fixed the facebook connection issues?
  8. Hey all, I've had this problem for years, across over a dozen pcs, Be it Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 10, when you uninstall the game it still leaves the games name in the uninstall section, and the only way to actually remove it is to meddle with my registry files to resolve. I know 100% it is not my pc, as this has happened on every pc and laptop I ever installed the game on, and every time same problem. Is there a way to fix that? I want to reinstall and play, but that bug is stopping me from re downloading. Thanks
  9. I agree it was needed for some time, but I am somewhat lucky, living in the middle of the USA, Ill have the same ping for the most part, on East and West coast servers, so I wont have an issue checking them out, but I am a bit mixed. While I dont want this game to die, the faster it becomes one with the Force, the sooner we can get a new one, and hopefully a better one. Odds of 2 Star Wars MMOs at the same time are very high, and Han Solo doesnt want to be told the odds of that.
  10. every game you listed has a much bigger active player base too. For a MMO, on some servers, this game does feel very dead. Dont you love going to fleet and seeing 15 people online on your fleet? Going to a planet and its just you. Need help? HAHAHA good luck, your the only person on the planet. It does happen. Is the game dead? no, but it sure as hell is not that healthy either. Server merging is sorely needed.
  11. What I am saying is, I know this is a MMO, but when I try to play this as an mmo, I find no real joy. It doesnt feel like a MMO, because almost all the content can be solod(sadly a trend with many mmos today) and much of the missions you never even see other players in. Every time I try to play this as a MMO, I dont feel I am in a MMO. It feels more like an Always Online RPG. But most of all, its more like an interactive Story. The story is second to none. hands down. Every other aspect of the game has left me wanting. From the tab targeting combat, to the poorly optimized engine trying to do too much that the game cant often handle, to some of the longest loading times(and most frequent) in any mmo I have played(before you blamed my pc, game is on a SSD, GTX 980 I7 6700 16gb ddr4, 130 down 30up connection-its not my specs). All I am saying is when I changed how I look at the game, I began to enjoy it again. Its not really something that you can debate about. People will find why they like or dislike any game today. I want to like this MMO for the mere fact I am a star wars fan, but have often found this mmo to be the hardest mmo for me to actually like and get into. But anyway, just thought I would share my new look on the game and my new personal enjoyment. Also I left for the same reason you mentioned, but I am trying to give it a second chance, and as long as I look at it like I am, its working. Like this MMO I will. Nothing you say, change it can not!
  12. But what hrts is your monitor? because I promise you, you are not getting 210 fps, even though your fps counter says that. You are only getting 60, 120 or 144 depending on the monitor. Alot of people dont realize that, and stress their gpu needlessly Like me, I get 200+ fps easy, but since I am stuck on a 60 hrtz monitor atm, I keep Sync on. No need to make my gpu work harder than it needs to
  13. As a long time Star Wars fan my entire life, having my family take me to the original trilogy in theaters 30 + years ago, and a life long love of action combat MMO's and grinding games(grinding like ActionRPGS) I could not understand why I did not like SWTOR. I asked myself many questions, found every reason and excuse to not like this mmo, but never found any actual reasons to like it. Then, I had an epiphany! I have been doing this all wrong. I have been trying to play this MMO instead of just experiencing it. Sure, the combat isn't Action combat. Sure, there are loading screens and the game isnt open world. So what? Instead of trying to pick on all the things that frustrate me, I decided to not play for a weekend, but rather experience the game. I treated the game 100% as a life experience. The people I see walking around everyday at work, but never talk to, considered the NPCS to be the same way. I need to do x amount of quests to get this reward, I need to work x amount of hours to make x amount of money. The game had suddenly became fun again. To even go off the deep end, I trashed nearly everything I owned, and gave all my money(in game) to some random lucky person, so I would be forced to "struggle" and enjoy the game from a fresh start. Games like I still enjoy but I treat them all as games, possible because it has action combat, and that is one sore spot for me with SWTOR, is I was never happy with the combat, when I tried to play it as an Action RPG. But when I try to experience SWTOR as an Interactive Game. Then it becomes so much more, and is once again so much fun. So basically, if any old swtor players are looking for a reason to come back, look at it from the viewpoint I describe. Stop playing this for PVP, stop playing it for MMO, stop playing it as a game. Start experiencing the PVP, the MMO, the RPG, and you might be able to get a few more month out of it or more!
  14. I use cartel coins. Been saving several years worth of subscription, just started spending them in August.
