  1. Hello forum lurkers, The Ewok Adventure Club is currently looking to recruit new members. We're a relatively small guild of laid-back seasoned and newer players with interests in PVP, Raiding and leveling Alts. We're oceanic based and plan on raiding around the 7-8pm AEST timezone a couple of nights each week. We have geared members and not so geared members, willing to accept players of all classes, play styles and levels. Whether you're new to the game and wanting to take that step of joining a guild, or if you're a seasoned player who is after some new variety feel free to check out our website or contact Thore in-game. Happy Hunting
  2. I understand - but don't agree with - maintenance times having to be at the same time, and how this affects patch deployment. But for a simple server restart there's no reason that it needs to be done at the same time. They should be able to do oceanic restarts during oceanic off-peak
  3. Space bar is your friend Yes - some people haven't seen the scenes before. The vast majority of us have -many, many times, so many times. oh man. so so many. We are the 99%. We are more likely to be there for loot /commendations and some of us have jobs and don't want to spend 90 minutes in 1 flashpoint. I'd suggest you do what we do, which is ask the group what their preference is. I'm happy to leave a group if 3/4ths don't want a space-bar run and likewise it shouldn't a big deal to find another group if 3/4ths do want to do a space-bar run.
  4. I've played this game since launch and have always been relatively OK with the whole 'Tuesday night Prime Time Down Time'. It ensures my apartment gets clean But three times in one week -a regular occurrence after a major update - and it's a bit of a joke. To those saying they need to do it at a time that has less impact to most players is implying that Bio-ware treat its player base differently based on location. If this excuse is going to be used then you need to extend it across all aspects. This includes charging Oceanic players a lesser subscription fee than what you do North American counterparts. I'm sure some EU players are also less appreciative of this as well.
  5. You can remove the rakghoul plague yourself. Go to start menu -> control planel -> uninstall program -> swtor For me though, I wont be doing this because I think the content is something fun, different and unexpected.
  6. So instead PVP is now an all out 'who can do the most DPS' fest. What you're basically saying is you want PVP to be designed based around the class you play. And you're moaning because healers are saying they want it based around how their class style plays? Hate to tell you this but most healers (and probably a lot of tanks) would say that WZs are now broken and highly favour DPS classes.
  7. I'm GoinG 2 dEfeNd dA chanGes so I lo0k liKe Im pr0 and KnoW wh0t im talking about. /sarcasm They've killed Sage healing. PVP you spend your time trying to... you are interupted... keep yourself alive let alone anyone else. And in PVE fights are way too reliant on a healer timing everything perfectly. Normal Modes feel like Hard Modes. Hard Modes feel like repair bill sinks. A good note: I never run out of Force so the force management issues still seem to be there. I think that's usually because I'm dead before I get low on force though.
  8. Healers are upset because when we go into a WZ we go in with the intent of wanting to heal others. With all the changes that have occured we are spending so much time trying to keep ourselves alive that we have little time to worry about anyone else. Healers need survivability. It's how we manage to heal other people... no survivability means no healz 4 u! So yeah, healers are respeccing to DPS.
  9. It is annoying on a Friday night, smack bang in the middle of our prime time. What I want to know is whats in the 100mb patch! According to the patch notes for 1.2.0.a i'm really hoping this isnt all the patch is addressing: http://www.swtor.com/patchnotes Addressed an issue that could prevent characters from being deleted. Made improvements to the CS ticketing system. If it is, to take servers down im primetime for a large portion of the community so that people can delete characters and submit tickets when they can already do this is fraustrating. There has to be some other fix going on surely? EDIT: To be clear I mean they can already submit tickets. I'm not sure about the delete character bug, but surely if you've hit 8 characters you can play one of the other 7 until they do fix this...
  10. At no stage did anyone say they werent a part of it. What most people are saying is that the rationale behind this hasnt been clearly communicated nor does it seem practical.
  11. Step 1 Jump in a warzone Step 2 Ask the healers how they are finding it. Step 3 Come back and delete your comment. This wasnt a nerf. a nerf would have been removing sacrafice. They halved the effect of expertise in PVP for healing and damage mitigation and increased the time to do our biggest heal by 1 second (75% cast time increase I think.. it is late here!!!). Can we get a dev or a mod or someone to explain the maths behind the change because even though my maths isnt the best I cant work out how you can debuff healing and then go and buff damage (check your expertise damage buff next time you PVP)
  12. I guess I was just missing something. I didnt feel that healing was that overpowered to start with? Force management, yeah limitless force needed a nerf. But to make our bigges heal useless in a PVP dogfight - and the next viable heal is 2.7k crit? Its just not worth being a Sage healer when you can respec to DPS and be more useful in PVP. My biggest gripe is I can dot heal someone, and in 1.5 seconds cast a 2.7k heal. A DPS can easily dot me to counter my dot heal, and burst dps me for 4k instantly. Meanwhile, I'm healing specced so I cant exactly fight back and by the time I can i'm either now out of force or their friend has turned up. My gameplay style must be wrong so any pointers would help: 1 heal DOT that can be counteracted with a DPS dot 1 heal that takes 1.5k to heal me for 2.7k which can be more than counteracted by just about any instant DPS skill 10 times over. 1 big heal that takes 2.3 seconds to cast but with interuptions sees it take much longer 1 channeled heal that is easy to interupt And all talented force statis does is mean they have to hit me twice, instead of once. If I rinse and repeat I have no force left - but thanks to my new found squishyness I havet managed to rinse and repeat enough to run out of force I guess I would just always forcespeed away, sit at a capped nod and suck up 4-5 medals for doing nothing.
  13. I was just going to rant about this too. 4k damage, 0 protection, 0 healing. 7 medals.
  14. give it a week. They will realise what a mess they've made and rebuff it.
  15. I wasnt expecting the 1.2 patch this week so no love lost there. but I dont get how it can get so close to going live and be pulled. That to me seems like the testing phase wasnt very well structured. I think BIOWARE does need to explain to the community exactly what happened. Stop being so PR orientated and start calling it like it is. While I dont agree with all the ragers, I would agree with the comments around server merging. There are simply too many servers. Creating a higher population will mean more people will be playing the available content together instead of focusing on ranting. It will mean quicker PVP queuing so people will be able to tolerate not having this content in the meantime. BIOWARE needs to really listen to it's community around server transfers and shift this functionality to a higher priority. And I'm proudly a SWTOR fanboy
