  1. So make it about skill and fun rewards instead of betting credits or play by senate rules (no credits in play.)
  2. Except blizzard made their engine and knows how it works and modified and rebuild almost all of it. Hero and BW is not even close, which makes you wonder if they lack that personell skill and needs to hire and get better development resources. But they managed to do a decent job with U3 engine, why not use that? Or their own engine they had before, something seems out of place.
  3. After 7 years of perfection and getting the game to be as good as WoW in 7 years from now can I expect to be able to... Sit on a chair? Your turn, whatcan you do in 7 years from now when this game is as good as WoW?
  4. Would you be happier with a better themepark mmo than this ehm subpar poor excuse of development?
  5. you sir are clueless, eve and swg had less of a grind than SWTOR, feeling wise AN factual, or whatever, feel what you want, that is subjective after all. Second, UO is not sandbox nor is lineage or EQ or WOW thatyou so nicely ninja edit. third, rest of your argument is based on ignorance thus I have nothing to add, peace and cheers for the good laugh.
  6. I never even heard of them until after failureon a forum, wanna know why? because their hype marketing sucked. I know nothing about those 2 gamesyou mention, nothing. Except what I read on this forum from you and others. WHy did I hear about SWTOR? let me see, KOTOR 1 and 2 record sales and I've played them, Star Wars license, EA publisher, Bioware developer, hyped marketed for almost 4 years etc etc conventions adds tv spots you name it. So the question is, do you think SWTOR would not have sold 2million copies?! if it was sandbox? but same launch, hype marketing. I believe numbers would have been the exact same to the letter, only question is what will have higher retention rate and keep more players after a month,I think a sandbox would more than a bad themepark MMO can today.
  7. For the record, I have grinded more in this game than both EVE and SWG combines. As a reply to previous posters who don't even know what sandbox is. Also a game does not have to be either sandbox or themepark. WoW is themepark and offers more freedom (sandbox argument) than SWTOR does and ever will offer, GW2 is not sandbox but offers even more freedom than that. UO was themepark yet people confuse it with sandbox, ask yourself why?! So maybe people asking for sandbox don't mean sandbox, but mean a game that has more freedom than the most claustrophobic and lonely game with least features and freedoms in history out of tripple A MMO's.
  8. So when this fails it means no thempark MMO's can survive, thanks for your insight, may I now leave you with 2 words, EVE, Online.
  9. NR 1 and 2 sandbox MMO's, first one EVE, came without any form of grinding at all, skills are trained but selecting it and wait real life time until finished and can't be speeded up. SWG, profession based system, you could if wanted to grind but you could be any profession besides JEDI faster than it takes to level to 30/35 in this game. Wow is NOT a sandbox, you need to learn about things before you comment on them.
  10. They have stronger numbers today than back then, even after WoW, and everyone I have ever played with in EVE alsoplayed WoW at one point or another, I still have an eve account active but not wow. Fact is, BW hyped this game to be different Then pissed everyone off by not being different from wow or even as good as wow. I think they changed halway through development or even last year because their innovations failed consumer testing and had to quickly scramble together a wow clone with not enough time to make it good.
  11. **** attract flies just as SWTOR attracts trolls, not exactly rocket science.
  12. Can I haz your stuff? oh wait nevermind, I also quit already long ago and would have no use for it.
  13. Your comment said it is not sandbox but more strategy. Sorry that you could not win that argument... And you are still wrong, you can do do no progression, some people I know don't level skills, you can play in an Ibiz and watching the stars, strategy much? Fame, many people avoid fameat all cost some do not give a care about money just be part of corp with a zero bank statement and only play with what is given, many use worst gear possible intentionally unless they fly a ship with no gear or even in a pod and not a ship. At its core you know nothing about EVE, thanks forproving to me that you are a biodrone.
  14. Not going to happen, BW does not know what entertainment is.
