  1. Actually the problem is that the wrong parts are slow because of vehicle dismounting and loading screens. Why can I use an instant teleporter once every 30 minutes to get around a planet but I can only get to a point 3 loading screens and a minute or two walk from my ship? Why can I teleport around the map from level one but I can't have a speeder to move around the planet. Why can't I use a taxi until I discover the next point, is that because I am driving my own taxi instead of having my own speeder to explore on my own? Travel on planet should be with a personal speeder, with a once per hour recall to a central location (space port or your ship). You shouldn't need a loading screen between your hanger and the ship because you are already in an instance when you walk into your hanger. The taking off animation should happen when you take a space mission or choose to go to another planet to cover the loading for the next area. The travel system is terrible because the parts that are quick are the ones that speed up leveling on world and the slow parts are getting to the ship so you can instantly travel anywhere to slowly get from your ship to the world. The wrong parts are slow, and the wrong parts are fast, and whining about players wanting to get around fast to level is stupid when they are asking for a fast travel when doing things other than leveling.
  2. Standard tie fighter. It is like a WWII Zero, all engines and guns with a thin cockpit and no shields because individual pilots are disposable when there are waves and waves of them.
  3. If we didn't have the OTHER people who worked on the original trilogy we wouldn't have the original trilogy, we would have something closer to the prequel trilogy quality and no one would have cared past the first movie. He gets partial credit for starting the series, the others (like the actual directors and writers for the original trilogy) get credit for making the concept palatable. Han shot first because he didn't want to be caught, not because he didn't want to be shot. Han shooting first is a point of contention for those that care about story and character because it is a very distinct difference between a character who is a self centered egomaniac becoming a nice egomaniac who can care about others and rewriting him to start off as a 'nice guy'. It severely changed the difference between his starting personality and the personality he had by the end of the first movie.
  4. There was a reason, it was EASIER to get red as a Sith and Jedi liked the common blue and green colors because they were soothing. But those are both arbitrary choices handed down, not alignment based magic. It's like how most people like the food they grew up with, or most people choose the stereotypical options so that all skaters dress alike and all preppies dress alike, and all punks dress alike. They aren't unable to put on different clothes, but most choose not to. The choice is on the individual, not some magical reason like you are putting forth or BW based the restrictions on.
  5. It's because the red and green aren't really faction or alignment colors, they were used for emotional effect.
  6. Imagine a system where loot rolling is secondary to playing and you don't have to roll against other players. In that scenario, there is no need to restrict choice for players because players can decide what they want to do with anything they come across in whatever way they feel like. Classes at that point are created to focus a certain style of play, to encourage an archetype instead of forcing it or making excuses for why they can't allow a character to pick up and use a solid object, no matter how ineffective it is for their class.
  7. From the blog: "So how do you earn the “Founder” title? This reward is only available to players who have completed either one of the following transactions (by March 19th, 2012, 12:01AM EST; Pacific: March 18th, 9:01PM PST; European: 4:01AM GMT, 5:01AM CET): Billed at least once for an active Star Wars: The Old Republic subscription OR Redeemed a Star Wars: The Old Republic Pre-Paid Game Time Code" So basically, you aren't a founder if you bought the game but didn't pay for a second month before March. That's pretty crappy.
  8. Your screens look like mine AFTER I CANCELLED, so apparently YOU ALREADY CANCELLED. Obvious troll is obvious.
  9. Since they were readily available during beta, it would only take BW time to add them BACK. It isn't that we are complaining that they are taking their time adding new colors, we are complaining about the decision to REMOVE the access to a variety of colors right before release and still advertising the game as having a wide variety of customization. 3 months ago you could have a purple saber right away by buying a certain weapon and taking out the crystal. They REMOVED anything that allowed this and RESTRICTED it to PVP endgame. It was a blatant move to promote end game grinding by removing choice during leveling. On top of the alignment restrictions they completely screwed color choice for sabers until grinding end game and world bosses, so yes it is something worth complaining about.
  10. The bang part Because they did it in the movies for immersion, most people don't realize that silence is correct and it comes off odd for them. They are programmed that way. There are only so many starships but there are BILLIONS of star systems. I'm not sure how it works, but I've always had the impression that people see 'forward' when using them. The whole corruption and light/dark system is stupid.
  11. Question: Why did you choose to limit color crystals when you already had the level 50 gear grind in place for the other 14 slots on the character and the vast majority of the game is the path to level 50?
  12. Then you would be a jerk, because you don't need that specific piece of gear.
  13. If you read all of my posts, you would see that I don't Need on the vast majority of drops because I don't actually need them. Your reading comprehension is lacking if you think I don't care about the other players in the group, or your belief that companions aren't extensions of players. If you could get past that premise, you could see that needing for a companion that is used regularly is the same as needing for the character you created on the select character screen. Also, I am up front when I create a group. When I don't create a group I Need what I need and I have NEVER had a complaint. I'm sure every group you have been in wasn't that way because YOU were in it.
