  1. http://imgur.com/wVkhVxE Mainly the "Eternal Empire Recon Walker". How much does this go for on the GTN?
  2. Used to play a sentinel and always had problems not being targeted. Even now on my tank guardian, i always see those 2 flashy glowsticks of fury and just feel the need to abandon my healer to slow , root, and cc him. In a team fight most of the time you want to attack targets that are already being attacked, dont jump into a fight first, and always make sure you take those ranged dps down. When you burn somebody low, others will target that person too. Doing this you can trickyour dumb PUG team into focus firing. Like moths to a light.
  3. +1 do this. Make it hard to turn in your quest. Deny the other faction Comms. LOL
  4. Ive noticed alot of people who are complaining about the opness of certain ship classes in galactic starfighter so im going to clear a few things up about the classes by comparing them to the ground classes we already have. Scout For the scout you can think of them as a vigilance guardian, OK damage and high mobility. For a scout your job is to be the first to your teams objective and secure it so it will be safe for your gunships to stand at the turret and blast away. The only way to counter a good scout is to double team him. Many scouts like to charge in guns blaring as if they where a strike fighter however this is not what the scout was designed for. If you or your team is outnumbered in an upcoming engagement DO NOT FIGHT IT, although your mobility is second to none, your main job is to target enemys who are already being engaged by another scout or strike fighter. Scouts tend to run out of engine power VERY quickly so whenever you are not firing you must focus all power to your engines ( f3 ) . It is very important never to be caught in a fight with no engine power, you will die if you cannot escape. You are a gunships worst nightmare. To agile to target and to fast to run from, whenever you see a gunship focus all power to your engines and charge at them while rolling, stop, and fire away. Strike fighters are a bit of a harder kill if the player knows what he is doing, however with good maneuvering you can take any strike fighter 1v1. If you happen to come across another scout, its best to get another strike fighter or scout to help you 2v1 him. Strike Fighter You can compare a strike fighter to a Focus Guardian in tank stance. They deal considerable damage while still being tanky enough to soak damage from a 2v1. Your job is to be the main fighter on the contested node. While your teams scouts roam and look for an opportunity to burn an enemy player down. You will mainly be targeting enemy strike fighters. Scouts are your worst nightmare. If you happen to come across a good scout and are not completely familiar with your ship and how it works. DO NOT FIGHT. The scout will out turn you are stay on your backside the entire fight. A good thing to do in this situation is to press X to stop your ship when the scout is making a pass at you, then boost to close the gap and fire on his backside. However the scout will escape soon and be on your back again. Its always best to 2v1 a scout. Gunships are your worst enemy. They will 2 shot railgun you and have you begging for mercy. Why? because you lack the mobility of the scout as well as the speed, and you lack the engine power to make a full charge at them while still having power to escape and dodge. I find while playing a strike its best to stay out of range if possible and let the scouts take care of him. Gunship Gunships can be compared to the sniper class. Just sit back and do massive damage. If you see a scout coming at you, prepare to hit the respawn. If you see a gunship or enemy strike fighter, lock in for an easy kill. best to sit back out of the action but not so far that you cant get help. your range is 15,000m... shouldn't be to hard. Nothing really to say about this class really. Just sit back in your cover and 2 shot people.
  5. Yeah i agree i should have followed him a bit more, But this vid was purely to show what kind of results you get in these arenas. Wasnt trying to be super pro zomg tank. mostly just showing what kind of matchups you get.
  6. Not really complaining, but this is a real problem. As it stands the only viable healer in arenas is Ops healer. You are pretty much screwed if you are not mobile. Everyone thought snipers would dominate in arenas but that has been proven untrue. Arenas are highly unfair to all casting classes. Secondly ive had matches where its 4 tanks vs all dps. This is really unfair to the side with the less favorable class makeup, all tanks vs all geared dps is impossible to win. Here is a basic summary of what an arena is in swtor. I could barely even keep the heals alive why? Not because im a bad tank, and not because he was a bad healer. But he couldnt get 1 heal off because of the fact that he is a caster and to easy to focus. If you are going to implement something as huge as arenas. Please think it through first or do not force us to play them. My guild runs sage heals and we cant enjoy the arenas as a guild Ps : its not me talking in the vid its a freind
  7. Im starting to think i posted this in the wrong section. Can a mod please move this to 'off topic" because this is exactly what this thread has become.
  8. Ok, i just started this thread to test my new laptop for mobile game development. I am an acutal game developer so let me clear some things up. No matter what you say NOBODY can distinguish anything over 60fps. Even if your computer says it is running at 100+ fps in open world it is not. If it was it would be duplicating frames or playing the animations VERY quickly. Secondly at my studio we are not aloud to have our games running at more than 40-60fps for the fact that many gamers get headaches at higher than this. The reason for this is similar to why a tennis ball has a blur. The brain cannot distinguish an object moving at such speeds so it blurs it out. However in games this is not the case. There is no blur so making a game at 100+FPS is a god awful idea unless you want medical lawsuits. Watching a tennis ball on sceen at 100fps would be like trying to focus on 10 objects at once. Many HDTV company have noticed this when showing films at high FPS, and are looking for a way to put blur back onto moving objects captured by cameras. I didnt mean for this to be an aurgument...
  9. Just for some comparison please post your computer rig, settings + shadows, and fps in PvP and open world. Ive heard people have many problems with with games but from what ive seen its been fixed. My Specs : Alienware 14 Intel Core i7 4700mq @ 2.4 ( can overclock to 3.2) , NVidia GeForce GT 750m, 8GB of ram,
  10. was playing football for my team yesterday after a long swtor session. Tried to force leap the linebacker into the touchdown.... my gawd i looked stupid.
  11. Dont PT have a leap? In the tank tree?
  12. reason why i say only leapers in the pit in 90% of the time in pugs, you wont have people waiting for you in the endzone for a pass or pull. Better not to get in that sitch.
  13. DOnt need to be a pro to know that btw those are my basition toons. Im on P0t5 now. Have a 55 sentinel Vanguard and juggernaut
  14. what are you talking about? WHy do you keep metioning Juggernauts? THis is general Huttball Smart play.
