  1. Every MMO I've played has what they call a "glass cannon" I believe most that play sorcerer/sage feel more like a paper water pistol.
  2. Yes I meant to say CD on Thundering Blast not GCD. sorry typo. And to answer someone else's statement as "comparable" yes I have played several other classes that hit was harder than a sorcerer or their DoTs hit harder but do not last as long. Sorcerer/Sage have no burst compared to other classes and far less survivability. Just trying to give devs some ideas for possible balance of classes is all.
  3. My reasoning behind force speed immunity is it only lasts 3 seconds with a 30 second GCD and most other classes can pull you right back to them or leap to you. Once force speed is activated then a stun cannot be applied, but does not break a stun and only breaks snares/roots.
  4. I can agree with reflecting a % of amount absorbed but also a 3-5k crit reflected back also removes the shield and would make them think twice about attacking us constantly. And like I said these are only some suggestions and can be tweaked no reason to be rude.
  5. 1. How do you think your Sorcerer spec is perceived by other classes? Very squishy and an easy kill. 2. How do you perceive your own spec? Has potential but very squishy and burst damage/survivability is not comparable to other classes.
  6. I've been playing a dps sorcerer since day 1, I have played both lightning and madness specs in both pvp and pve. I have posted many times on here about some of the problems I have seen compared to other classes. Now I have made a small list on some fixes that may help everyone that plays this class feel more inline with other classes without making them OP and hopefully the devs may take some of these into consideration for 1.4. Please feel free to comment or add to the list and maybe just maybe we can get some love. -DoT for affliction and creeping terror on shorter timer but equal to the damage they do now. Talented in madness tree only. -Bubble to not only absorb but reflect damage equal to amount absorbed, may cause some to think twice about blowing damage CD's when attacking us. -Cannot be stunned, rooted, snared while force speed is active, force speed breaks snares, talented for sorcerer/sage only as to not affect assassin/shadow since they can vanish. -Thundering blast instant, slightly more damage, increase GCD. -Polarity shift talent change to add force lighting has 30% chance to proc instant lightning strike.

  8. As I've said many times, most MMO's have what they call a glass cannon. Easily killed but put out huge burst. SWTOR made sorc dps a paper water pistol instead.
  9. Having the same issue. Certain players I cannot make Officers, the option for Officer is greyed out. Just submitted a ticket. If I hear anything I will try to update you.
  10. I think something that would calm some of the community would be a FULL list of origin servers. I know being a GM it would be of great help to be able to tell my guild yes we are an origin server so be prepared to move. This way it also gives myself time to get the vault squared away along with my own personal things. I'm not really concerned about origin servers or even time frame as long as it's more than 4 servers a week (then you may have too many unsubs to even keep the game alive). Just would be a nice heads up to guild leaders to be organized and prepared since we are the one the guild comes to for answers most of the time. It's difficult to keep a large guild together with something like this. Thank You

  12. The only thing that is part of server community is standing around the fleet twiddling their thumbs in unison. There is no server community. Most servers don't even have enough players to be considered a community. There is nothing to do as a community. Xserver would not destroy server community because you can't destroy something that isn't there. If they would add in xserver anything, imo they way it would benefit is say pvp, grab 8 people from your server and pit them against 8 from another, then you can talk smack and work together to down other servers. BW really needs to get a clue. Yes, yes I know "super servers" are the answer to everyone's prayers. BW doesn't have enough subs to support but maybe 2 super servers because everyone was fed up on glitches, hacks, and BW not delivering what they said, nor listening and reacting in a timely manner to the public's outcries for change. The Q&A thing is a joke and they never really answer the meaningful questions, just "coming soon" is their response or "last resort" to blatant problems. That's just a small list from some of the things I have read in these forums.

    Even just going and getting armaments brought both factions out to one place for at least a little open world pvp.

At least a knockback, pull whatever does not impede you from using your abilities therefore I do not see why it should affect resolve especially the sorcerer one which is only an 8 meter knockback compared to some others that are much further. I also feel that no class should have an aoe mez that incapacitates multiple targets from using abilities. Or if anything balance the classes out a bit, if a class has a knockback of more than 8 meters, they should not have 2 or 3 other forms of cc aka force choke, aoe mez, and leap stun. I just believe there are too many stuns in this game and maybe that is why resolve is broken, I have had a full resolve bar only to be pulled into the fire or force leap and have my character incapacitated to where I could not throw the ball. I know many that have had these same issues. I have had resolve bar almost completely full just to be aoe mezzed and never seen it hit full. the timer should fill up and stay full until the cc ends. or once you are mezzed it should begin to fill once it's full the mez breaks to reduce the time that the mez lasts on targets that are close to full. Not work against them. I am just using one or 2 examples here but I am sure there are multiple ones.
  15. As we all have figured out there are way too many stuns, cc's snares, etc and resolve sucks. Anything that prevents you from using you abilities should count towards resolve. Slows, roots that do not keep you from casting, pulling, throwing the huttball,etc should not affect resolve. Resolve should start ticking off AFTER the duration not during just to be stunned immediately after one has worn off. No chain stuns from full to death. Any mez, blind, etc should either be removed or be affected by resolve since it incapacitates you from using abilities. Slows should never affect resolve. ea: sorcerer - *whirlwind affects resolve *electrocute affects resolves *overload with or without bindings DOES NOT affect resolve warrior- *force choke affects resolve *aoe mez affects resolve *punch you in the face to another planet DOES NOT affect resolve Is this really that hard of a concept BW? Do people that actually pvp or play mmo's work for you or do you just look at numbers?
