As the title states pressing the play button doesn't start or launch the game.. I was having an issue where it would say the login service wasn't available .. and now it lets me log in.. but I still can't play as it doesn't click .. There's no updating status there's nothing to indicate its doing anything. I'm a sub and have been on and off since game launch so I'm used to issues.. but now this is a new issue for me this is March 15th AEST time 11:20am

As of 10am March 15th AEST I am having the same issue. "The login service is currently unavailable. Please visit our forums for the latest updates on the status of the service" Please help Bioware you're my only hope. And I'm a LONG time sub so .. not a new player.. but still .. HELP ! Checked forums and the uselessness of google.. nothing to help with the issue.

As I pointed out with some time ago in the thread.. the issue with the races the last too posters want is not that they aren't good I like those races too.. but most if not all of the races mentioned seldomly speak basic. Which would be BW big issue... now if it was just a skin like they will do with Cathar then this wouldn't be an issue.. But remember voice acting is a BIG sell point for BW and TOR

Personally I would sell my soul to get a character off the AP Server and back onto the US WEST server I am on... I know you all like you mythical pings and your imagined Asian hosted servers but over the years of many many many MMO's I have come to realise that I prefer the US servers for roleplay and guilds. .. (being an insombiac helps a ton) .. I'm not saying anything against the AP servers thats very cool .. I just want a paid transfer so I can move a 47 Sniper back to the US servers. pleeeeeeeese .. come on Bioware take my money and move my character PS ... Yes I am based in Australia so I too was silly enough to move to the AP servers.

To answer this for you, the Cathar were very nearly wiped out during the Mandalorian Wars, or more pointedly The Battle of Cathar... I'll do a cut and paste from the wiki for you rather than say the same thing in different words but here you go.. So for what ever reason they don't make an appearence in the movies .. though I believe there may have been a Cathar Jedi in the the large fight scene of Clones.. I can't be sure.. but they are very much there in the lore of Star Wars.

What we need to remember is that NO non-basic speaking races will EVER be a playable race... sadly this means for the most part that Rodians for example will likely not be a choice.. there are ofcourse some Rodians that speak basic but very few.. Wookiee's are another example of a race we will never get to play.. unless BW and EA want to break lore completely that is. The reason for this is that SWTOR's big pull and adverts were about voice acting, and if they can't speak basic.. and their voice is a series of beeps and clicks or chirps and growls then its not voice acting. What I'm looking for information wise myself though is ... Will Cathar have new Voice actors .. ie are they NEW races or are they simply a re-skinning of current races.. As example I'm currently a Chiss Jedi Sage.. but I still use original Jedi voices. Here's to hopping we get a new VA with the new race... And yes I'm all for Cathar.. they are my favorite race shortly followed by the Squid-head-peoples (Kit Fisto) and Rodians.. (Rodian Smuggler would be so awesome..) ps... I LOVED the Cathar girl in the Bounty Hunter story on Balmorra .. she was awesome.

Sadly for me I was hoping Cathar would be 1.3 content as it appeared in the videos.. but sadly not. Having just had a look at the test server ... no Cathar for me.. Ahh well back to the endless credit grind or the extra endless 50 grind on a server with no population. So does anyone know WHEN the Cathar are added or is it a "comming soon" thing.. ie sometime this century ... like chat bubbles.

Sadly Cathar are not in 1.3 And here I was hoping I could play a good race for a new character without having to grind the INSANE amount of credits for Chiss unlocks or spend weeks trying to hit 50 on a server with no population. Alas... I shall have to wait until they come out in 1.4 or later.

I don't have early access nor am I likely to for a couple of days.... reguardless... of what Bioware say about it being random... But I'll be on this server along with other members of --- The Order ---- Look forward to seeing some fellow roleplayers.
