  1. It would be excellent to add a jumping assist to the game. For instance the ledge in Athis. Nothing more frustratng than when you cannot and the rest of the group can. Add a graphic (curving line) with a lit up end point that says you can then hit jump to. This would be great for datacrons as well. Thanks Lan
  2. To me as a jumping impaired player - I had to quit trying for the datacrons as I was getting quite frustrated. I would like to see (turn it on otherwise off by default) a targeting reticule that you can place allowing you to jump to the datacron. You still have to locate it no matter what. This jumping would only allow you to land on a datacron and not be used in regular game play. Not sure how many players have issues/frustrations but is sure annoying otherwise. Lan
  3. One of the main attractions to game is the story lines followed closely by the companion. An interesting/likable companion for me complements the game play and immersion into the story. I have my favorites but they are tied to specific classes and not accessible otherwise. For instance, my Sith Sorc would like to have Jaesa but am stuck with comps such as Khem , Ashara, etc. My suggestion is to add a companion creation capability - this could be introduced after the character story line is complete to avoid story re-writes. To roll this out: 1. Select two (or more) new voice actors for the companion 2. Use the appearance designer for player characters for your companion design 3. Add a separate and engrossing story line for the companion that is based on the player's class (ie Sith, Jedi, Trouper, etc) 4. The new companion would still have a preference for gifts but make their affinity to you level at a much higher rate than the other companions.
  4. I have enabled combat logging but no log files are created. I run the game as admin and have shutdown and relauched. Any help would be appreciated Lan
  5. I see that this is a recurring bug - I am trying to get past it by opening up an in-game ticket but so far cannot get any help. I tried resetting the quest by zoning out to the fleet and reset, but that did not work. I recently returned to the game and want to finish up the class quests and start on the new content. Support - please help! Thanks
  6. There has to be a better patching mechanism than how you are handling it today - have a 100 mbps connection and will wait over an hour while the machine reorganizes. Lan
  7. I hate this aspect of the game so very much that it makes the rest of the game completely un-enjoyable. I leveled a Sith Inquisitor to 55, had a great time then made the worst mistake by playing an agent - I hate this game now. Playing a 55 healer in HM instances, using your abilities to keep a group alive then playing a new Agent and trying to jump in Tatooine to get a +3 cunning datacron and failing constantly is stupid and enraging. Why should my ability to hit the space bar and make the jump to a hard to get to walkway make ANY DIFFERENCE? So, how about this, let players buy the datacron if they don't want to become so frustrated they want to smash the keyboard. You developers can surely come up with a better way to do this, keyboard dexterity is NOT a good way to build fun for all. Of course the various players reading this thread can say "just skip it" but I say this is between me and the game developers. Why should I keep missing, overshooting, falling off, etc? Why should I be unable to make my character the best? I can get the highest level gear through FPs, etc using my play skill as a Sith Inquisitor yet not get the datacrons as an Agent. I realize that this is simply a player venting and will most likely not make ANY difference to the game developers or publishers, but this is the only way a paying customer can provide feedback
  8. I would like to see continued story updates after moving up to the council level, Voice of the Emperor, etc. These story updates would be in the form of interactions either in person or via holocommunicator involving the player's character and their "peers" on the council, etc. For instance, as a Sith Inquisitor you earn a spot on the Dark Council - but why should it stop there? My SI should be summoned to Dromand Kaas from time to time or else communicate with individual members or the full council from my ship, As a member of the ruling body of the Empire, I should be involved in the most important decisions that the council is debating or plotting the over throw of another member of the council. This does not have to necessarily lead to a continued quest line (but certainly could). This would complement very nicely the new status of the character and not simply "end" the storyline. I started out playing SWTOR when it first came out and left before the level cap increased. After time away in other games, I returned and am really enjoying old as well as new storylines. I am not a roleplayer by any means, but this game to me is all about the story, like reading a good book you don't want to put down. Lanmoryn
  9. First off, my wife and I have really enjoyed playing SWTOR up to now, but with several level 50 chars each the game is really quite dull. From my perspective, the main issues are: 1). SWTOR is a single player game in an MMO setting. We have never found a guild – first game ever to do that in. There is no sense of community in this game - but on the flip side lots of community with my companions. We never bother to look for groups anymore on the various planets to do heroics with as no one wants to. This includes the typical 10 players at any one time on any planet. 2). Leveling pace is far too fast. This is a mistake many recent MMOs make – get to max level quickly and find nothing to do afterwards. For SWTOR we found that after the 3rd character getting to 50 the content was just old (better than other games but not any different in the end). 3). Crafted gear is a waste of time – quested or PvP gear is simply better. In addition, the auction house typically bears this out. 4). Not being part of a guild makes doing operations impossible – no on our server advertises for an open operations spot. If we were part of a guild, I would not want to have a non-guild mate along in any case as it takes time to learn it. My point is back to number 1 above where Bioware has created a wonderful standalone game but nothing more. 5). PvP is about the only fun thing left but tough at 50 if you don’t have the gear going up against the gods of decked out PvP gear. My 3rd 50 is accumulating the 2000 tokens to at least start off with some PvP gear. I wonder how many times I can play huttball however. 6). A fully voiced game is both a strength and a terrible weakness. The strength is obvious but the weakness is one of scalability. Frequent content updates would require loads of sound stage time, cost, etc. 7). Worlds with very small playable zones. I get tired even thinking of running into an exhaustion zone This game was a totally amazing experiance - my hats off to Bioware. However, I do truely wish Bioware could have really thought out the "end game" experiance and put as much time and effort into it as they put into the 1-50 experiance. Lanmoryn
  10. For those of you that played the Sith Warrior and really enjoyed the whole Jaesa quest line, the Ashara quest line has a real hurried feel to it. What Bioware should do is have more consistency between the companion developer teams to insure that each story stands on it's own and fits the player's class. With that said, it is simply ludicrous that Ashara cites Jedi teachings and cannot be brought to the dark side. My Sith Inquisitor would drop a lighting storm on her head reducing her to Ashes for those comments alone!
  11. I spared Thana's life with the intent of a future romance with her at a later point (next major release). My SI took every opportunity to flirt with her after realizing that she is my type of Sith I would gladly sacrifice my wanabe-jedi, who will never approve of the sith way of life for a chance at adding Thana. Lan
  12. I would like to see map transitions handled seamlessly so that you can roam anywhere on a particular world without hitting a zone in/out point. This would also include no more "fatigue" zones. Lan
  13. As a light side SW, the light side Jaesa seemed perfect. She is NOT a jedi, we both have the same goals as far as the Empire is concerned and yet, I am stuck with Vette as the only option. On the lighter side - hehe - my dark side Sith Inquisitor has it worse with Ashara /signed
