  1. I endorse this product and/or service. Not the spec though, Anni ftw! Top guide Ewok
  2. Hope it's NL if not DB, I have a couple of toons there too. Our populations really don't seem too different tbh, I'm not sure where DB gets its high pop stats from
  3. I'm on Dune Bantha and yeah neither fleet ever really passes 50 people at weekly prime times. We're consistently high in population listings tho and the levelling planets have seemed fairly active when playing on some alts. Population seems to have balanced out a bit with many rolling Republic toons, fleets are often pretty equal in activity. Hopefully we're a destination server, we have a good community you'd all be very welcome! (Also saves ze ball ache of having to move our guilds over )
  4. Aye I think he meant that too, but he also said there "It allows you to augment your gear more quickly." So wondering if the shells themselves will yield Augment Kit parts... it'd be a good feature.
  5. Ranked WZs on-track for 1.3 is the best news. Aggro changes sound good... transfers can't come quickly enough though so I really hope that's a priority for, or before, 1.3. Curious about this bit: "Crafting also has a role to play, especially if your guild has a lot of extra Operation gear they can reverse engineer. It allows you to augment your gear more quickly and cheaply, customize the look of your gear, and help gear up your new guild-mates with powerful crafted mods and items." Does that mean, to obtain Augment Kit parts, we can RE end-game gear instead of Orange Crafted 50 stuff, for a greater return?
  6. How on earth is Dune Bantha EU on your list? It's more and more of a ghost town each passing day. Saturday nights don't even see fleets hit 50. Right now, 5pm GMT on a Monday evening, there are 11 people on the Imp Fleet. There is only one guild making EC progress per faction... Now don't get me wrong, we have a great community and I'd love for more people to join us. Just don't mislead peeps into thinking we're a thriving server!
  7. HALP! Dune Bantha EU is on it's final breath. Half the community is dead already, if we don't get a fix soon the other half will die too. 3-hour window for PvP every day, hardly any PuGs ever LFM, a dead economy and scr*ping together one or two raids a week from the handful of members we have left... same problems as everyone else.
  8. I've not yet unsubbed but am seriously considering it and not because I don't enjoy the game itself. Previous posters have covered points in brilliant detail, so I'll just briefly echo them. Populations, Merges, etc. My server has not seen more than 40 people on the fleet in the last few weeks (maximum, primetime). Fleet numbers haven't hit 100 for months. PvP is only playable for a 3 hour window on weekday evenings. Guilds are hemorrhaging members and all PvE that isn't an 8-man progression raid is dying. I don't need to go on... transfers, mergers and cross-server PvP should be priority #1. Planet Design In several ways. Many feel like corridors... I wish they'd be more expansive, a la Tatooine, and feel a bit more open. Also the progression as you level. Having done the Imperial storyline three and a half times to 50 I'm sick to death of it. A choice of which planets to progress through would really freshen the game up... there's only so many ways you can 'PvP a bit here, skip one planet, do this bonus series instead of that storyline...' etc. Scope of Activities The on-rails space missions are a fun distraction the first few times, for a total of maybe two hours. Then they are terrible. Star Wars is a space-heavy entity. Please do more with it. Trade/crafting/gathering could be vastly expanded. Whether in the form of mini-games or quests there is so much you could do within the Star Wars Universe... Pod Racing would be awesome, for example. Even stuff you've done before. Pazaak, anyone? Breath some more life into the game and players will have more reasons to log in and stick around. Communication Ranked WZs pulled 6hrs before 1.2 when you must have realised they hadn't been properly tested for weeks? Every question about a new feature met with "We're very excited about this, it's coming soon." No direct, sincere message or announcement about tackling the population crisis? This kind of stuff, that really alienates and in some cases truly p*sses off your playerbase. Some of the earlier points wouldn't be as pressing or relevant if Bioware communicated more effectively and honestly with players. My main gripes ^ Jaq 50 Mara, 50 Sin, 50 Merc, 40 Sorc, 20 Scoundrel DB EU
  9. I've had similar MMO experiences to the OP (few months of WoW here and there) and came to TOR fresh-faced and expectant, without having planned to buy it.... and I agree entirely. PvP was a welcome surprise for me too and generally the gameplay and stories are solid and enjoyable (barring some of the grind). What's killing the game for me like so many others is the population crisis. Our fleet never sees numbers of more than 40 online during weekend/the odd weekday primetime. Most nights it hovers around 30. Top bracket PvP only pops between 6 and 10pm-ish with 10-15min waits between WZs. The 10-49 bracket is only slightly better. Our guild is the largest on the server and we've gone from running 8 operations per week for everyone of varying gear levels and time constraints to take part in, to people only being online for our hardmode EC progression runs... I could go on. Sorry to derail the thread but if BW are reading this, you have a good game as it is. The biggest and best thing you can, and need, to add right now is population, so we can actually enjoy the game that's already there.
  10. In my experience picking a path isn't always the best choice... the randomness of the lightning spawns and fire makes things tricky. Try just moving into any clear space as soon as a bubble spawns next to you. If you get trapped, as long as you don't run into fire, running through a lightning bubble to get into space is your best bet. The fire does way more damage than the lightning. If the balls are spawning correctly (every ~15secs or so) you should only have to run to 2 or 3 sides before the middle becomes clear again. Middle > Side > End > Side > Middle > Side and the droid should be down.
  11. I tank this fight on my Sin and DPS on my mara twice a week for the weekly... trust me, if you're having issues downing him with melee ratherthan ranged it's because of the tank.
  12. If you have melee on the Sent Droid, they just stick to the back of him and deal damage while the tank pulls him around. Tank needs to be on his toes with this but it's not that much more diffcult than with ranged DPS. If you are wiping, problem lies with the tank. With ranged, the tank just stands on the middle platform and everyone else worries about avoiding lightnings balls and fire. With melee, tank tanks him on the middle platform until lightning spawns. Then the tank takes him to one of the side platforms, then another side, making sure he's completely on the platform so melee can DPS him freely from behind. Running from platform to platform avoiding fire and lightning is not an impossible mechanic. It's frustrating at first and requires practice, that's all.
  13. Both DPS groups switch bosses... nobody with fearful is ever attaking Zorn = no insane damage. Melee get murdered how? Toth's jump and smash? Is it too much to ask your melee to run out when he's about to do it?
  14. All the new stuff is perfectly doable with melee (3/4 melees in LI, 3 melee DPS in EC, from my experience). In Lost Island you need your tank to have better awareness to keep themselves and the melee clear of 'the poo', compared to bringing ranged, but that's about it. In EC bringing melee makes little to no difference.
