Having the same issue.

Patch day is tomorrow and in trying to launch the game today, after signing in the launcher was stuck on initializing so the play button would never activate. After waiting about 5 to 10 minutes. I shut down the launcher and restarted it. Once signed back in, it sat on initializing for a minute, maybe a little less, then starts giving the following error message. "This application has encountered an unspecified error. Please try this patch again." I have restarted and logged into the launcher 3 more times and the issue persists. You can see the message yourself in this screen snip. I'm hopeful this will work itself out after the maintenance is completed but in the event that I'm still getting this issue tomorrow I wanted to get ahead of it and post about it now.

It's 2018 and this is still broken... wow. Running through on my sniper for the first time, can't find the midship relay, google it, find this thread that started in 2015 and it's still broken 3 years later. This is pathetic.

So what you're all saying is that Zaalbar essentially retracted his life debt. That seems silly. A wookie life debt, according to the lore as I understand it, is for the rest of that wookie's life or the rest of the life of the person they pledge the lifedebt to, whichever dies first.

Wookies live up to 400 years or more and Zaalbar pledged a lifedebt to Revan back in KotOR 1, 300 years before the events of SWTOR. Unless he died somewhere along the way he should still be honoring that lifedebt and fighting for Revan with the Revanites. Missed opportunity for a callback to KotOR 1.

Is there a way to make the launcher stay open instead of closing itself every time I start the game? It's annoying having to relaunch the launcher, log in, then wait for it to check that it's up to date, then actually start the game EVERY time I want to log in. This should be an option. No other launcher I've dealt with auto closes itself without at least having the option to have it stay open instead but I can't find any such options for this launcher.
