  1. When reverse engineering medpacks I notices the purple ones don't scale like the blue ones. The stats are much worse. Is that a bug or a feature? Seems strange the rarer pack would be worse than the easy one. So far I've only done tier 1-3 medpacks.
  2. Even pre-4.0 the game was getting easier to play solo, as was Biowares intent. I intentionally kept my characters under leveled to make it a challenge. Now, with xp rewards so high, it's hard to not get over leveled. I know, I know, they implemented level sync. That puts you at the max level for the planet, but in the case of the capitals, that lvl 18. Most mobs on those planets are 11-16, so if it was easy when I was on level, 2-7 levels above is just cake. Players need to be able to control their leveling speed in order to create their own challenges. Another argument is, just do the class quests and you'll be under level. Why should I have to skip 80%ish of the game, I'm paying for, just to have a challenge. Lotro has been dealing with this problem for years, once you hit the easy button, it's hard to turn it off.
  3. I started a new character to experience the new changes to the game. I was lvl 12 before I ever left Tyhon, now I'm lvl 19 and only past the first area on Coruscant. That was after doing 1 TP/FP, and doing every quest up to this point. That is way to fast for MY taste. I like the level corrections to keep you on par with the the planet, however; Coruscant puts you at lvl 18. The mobs I'm fighting are lvl 11-12. Still over leveled for the quests I want to run. I know a lot of people want to get to the higher levels quicker, so as the OP suggested, institute an XP inhibitor. That won't affect anybody who was to fly through the game. These items exist in other games, LOTRO for example. I'd even drop some CC's to have it. This item would keep both parties happy, those that want to slow play the game, and those who want to fast level.
  4. Operative could also fit your description. Self heals, stealth, rifle, knife, poison, corrosive grenades. There's a variety to the attacks. Unfortunately this game doesn't give you different options for a main hand weapon. Whichever AC you pick also decides what weapon-type you will be using. Main hand flexibility has been a request from the community, for a while. You can also buy or craft grenades (cyber tech).
  5. Personally I find the scalene armor to be fitting for an Operative. They look high tech enough that becoming stealth isn't all that hard to imagine. Except for the helmet. Not a fan of it so I run helmet-less..
  6. For new HK-51 owners. I was browsing his available skills today and noticed the one called assassinate. It's an instant kill shot for elite and below, usable only out of combat. I've had him for almost 6 months and just found this. Hopefully some else finds this info useful, it's a fun skill. Also, do any other companies have special skills like this?
  7. If you do end up with a smuggler and an agent, I would recommend Op for the Agent and Slinger for the Smuggler. Loved the Ops animations and the class just seemed to fit the story. I'm currently leveling a gunslinger, after maxing my Op. It's a nice change of pace, though the que times for FPs are a bit longer without a heal tree. Just my 2-cents.
  8. I just finished the Agent story and it got me wondering. I know there are like 5 or so possible endings for the Agent, is it like that for any other class? I mean I've finished the SI, JK, Trooper, and BH but they mostly seemed to be a mater of choice (a) or choice (b). I could be wrong.
  9. My guess for the closest imitation of Foundry Revan would be a Guardian with the legacy abilities of the Inquisitor and Consular. There you get the lightning and, I know it's not the same but close, some rock throwing.
  10. Playing through the Agent story right now. I know most have said Chiss fit the best, but I kinda think cyborg works really well. What with all the "enhanced" personnel working for Imperial Intelligence. Also, the further I go into the story, the more I feel like I'm in an episode of Burn Notice. So.....Human/Cyborg - Agent
  11. Can we have a class that can be a TK master? Would make more sense to have them fight in melee range, than a soldier with a rifle. TK was developed to fight force users. Just an idea.
  12. I always felt the classes, other than the Force users which are direct mirrors of each other, shouldn't be faction limited. Especially smugglers and BH's, which honestly should be an Independent faction. Instead of the easy, just make faction available option, what if there was a Pre-starting planet where you made the choice for class and faction. This is probably too much of an RPG idea than an MMO idea but this game does need some improvement in that area. Either way, would people want to play an Imperial Trooper or Republic Spy? Granted this is like an Expansion level idea, due to required stories and class revamps. Just looking for ideas/opinions.
  13. I have a level 50 Sin and a level 33 Shadow and I love the DPS play style. If anything roll one DPS and get them up to end game. Eventually they're going to change the classes again and we might get that end game boost we need. I know it sucks to play for HOPE, but it is a fun class.

    Hk-51?

Decided to get him a few days ago. I was worried the treasure hunting would be tedious but it really didnt take that long. On Taris there were 2 other guys doing the same thing so we grouped up, butnthe other planets I did it solo. Took, atmost, 30 min. That was the hoth piece, only because the part was on the backside of the crash. Got lucky with the FP's. Logged in and qued for group and got picked up right away for False Emperor. Once that was done I qued for Foundry, 2 min wait and was in. That was a good run because all 4 of us were going for the part, so it was a speed run. Probably helped I'm a tank so wait times are short. All in all, it was a fun quest line because I knew what I was working for. Once I got him, we went to Illum for testing. He is AWESOME. Who needs heals when HK decimates everything so fast.
