The game’s fate will ultimately come down to what happens with the license.

New Crafting Mats tab is underwhelming
LordLongus replied to HoloTweed's topic in General Discussion
I think it’s great. A bunch of complaining about nothing, me thinks. -
I have a ton of blue and green Jawa Junk that I want to trade in and sell on the GTN. What mats (blue and green) go for the most $ on the GTN?

Can we get a cross guard lightsaber please?
LordLongus replied to motski's topic in General Discussion
It's been reported that the villain of Episode VII is a collector of ancient Sith artifacts, so if that holds true this could be one of the first lightsabers from days past, which would account for its crude design and look. What if the side blades are just a vent for the main housing because the saber itself is unstable? Maybe they are not designed for fighting and are instead a byproduct of its rudimentary state? I mean, look at the main blade itself? It seems very primeval. -
Yes. Yes it does.

True, but if you weren't there at that time you'll never get that reward. You couldn't say, "Hey, I wasn't here for the 4th anniversary but I want that pet! No fair!". Same with this achievement - if you were not there at that time you will never get the achievement. Like a previous poster noted, it recognizes those who did it and participated in it without the carrot at the end of the stick. I think that's something to acknowledge now that the meta-game is filled with players who just want to fill up their bars to 100%. Kind of like when you were a kid and you cleaned your room: Did you clean it of your own volition and have your parents reward you after because of your initiative, or did you clean it only because your parents dangled a $5 bill in front you?

I'm hoping that after it's done its three-planet run that the event is retired. Don't bring it back to Alderaan and keep repeating it like the Gree and Bounty Contracts.

Soooo, is what you're saying that The Gen chat is for PvE only? Or that nothing that can technically fall under any if the other sub-categories of forums be talked about in 'General'? If that's the case then NOTHING would be in this particular message board. Looking at the forum rules and parameters the OP did nothing wrong.

The point of ACHIEVEMENTS is that you ACHIEVE something important in the game. Being part of the game during the first Rakghoul event is part of that: you were actually here and playing during that time. You EARNED it. Achievements are an ancillary "bragging rights" system and nothing more, so those who were here during the "dark times" in April 2012 earned that achievement. I don't think someone should come into the game years after the fact, or quit for an extended duration, and expect to be able to get those bragging rights they missed. I, for one, wear my Containment armor as my main PVE gear because it shows that I was here during the mass exodus, when servers were barren and before F2P. If Achievements are a bragging rights system, why should you be able to get those bragging rights after the fact? Kind of like in WOW, if you were subscribed during their anniversaries they would mail you a pet. People who weren't there during that time don't get that pet. Plain and simple. You weren't there during the event, you don't get the reward that works toward an achievement.

For all those who complain about the PvP, there is the crafting option. For those who don't PvP or craft, you have guildies who DO, hopefully; that's why this is a GUILD function: you have a group of players who work together to accomplish a challenge. For those with none of the above, this function is not for you so please don't complain.

Two notable changes to the build on PTS....check it out!
LordLongus replied to LordArtemis's topic in General Discussion
These were pointed out when last week's PTS dropped. Old news. -
Why are you guys giving OP a hard time? It's a general discussion board, and his comments were nowhere near rude, so his post is just as legit as anyone else's.
