  1. So i recently came back to SWTOR, ran the launcher game loaded and said i could play with a char on the starter worlds whilst the game downloaded in the background. 10hrs later its still at 0.00% how do i get it to download!
  2. Hoping someone can explain why the hate for the LFG tool that seems to abound on these forums, and if my thinking is so way off mark! Having played MMOs since Ultima Online, through SWG, WOW, RIFT, EQ, STO, LOTRO etc, I have seen various implementations of the above tool, and can honestly say, the tool improves MY gaming experience massively, just wondering why the hate, and how it has such a negative impact on others So far the common arguments I have seen, which dont seem to hold any weight are: 'It ruins the community' - really? I fail to see how general chat spam of "LF2M Healer and Tank" over and over quantifies as community (and normally in caps)!! Those who argue you should make your own friends and guild mates, well then clearly you are very fortunate to have so many friends playing SWTOR at the same time who are wanting to instance at the same time that you wont need the LFG Tool, so again, I fail to see why the hate. 'All that is needed is a Global General Chat' - this would be great, but again would just be filled with spam, and also all the idiotic chatter about chuck norris, or how someone did something to someone elses mom, and actually have very little impact on LFG due to your message being lost in nonsense, not to mention that you have to watch the chat closely incase you miss your option. 'It ruins immersion' - normally from pvpers who like to gank people onroute to instance, or from people who want to see peeps travelling. Seems as all the instances are on the Fleets, then again, a LFG tool, even with insta telepor, would hardly ruin this? 'People can ninja with immunity' - probably the only valid argument i can see so far, but seems as most items are usable bny anyone and their companion, and people already role on items for their companions, it again looses weight. As I see it the LFG tool means I dont have to spend Ages trying to find a group by sitting in Imperial fleet watching the drivel in general chat, I can play the game, with friends, whilst waiting for my group to assemble. Those who are violently opposed to this dont have to use it afterall, and can continue to spam, or play with their friends. The only valid reason I can think of is that maybe those who oppose it so much are such terrible players, they are afraid their 'friends' will abandon them if it is easier to get a group?!!! Those of you who take time to post constructive posts, thanks, hope it will help to educate/Develop my understanding. Those who just flame, OMG LFG tool is terribad with no justification, please save it for one of the other million threads about LFG tools!

  4. Doesnt work, thats what i used to do to about 95% success, but 6 wins tonight and non counted, all with tracking turned off
  5. The belt dropped after the 32nd kill, only later did i notice it was medium armour and Imperial Agent only.. ARRRRRGGHHHH!! Tips for farming these, 1. Relog every 3 kills, it resets the loot chance apparently. 2. Try to get ina group with as many people as possible (Guildies are best). Regardless of where you are, the increase in loot chance is improved the larger your group!
  6. if only the devs paid any attention to non QQ threads
  7. bumping due to the mountain of QQ posts all about the same thing!
  8. Tried posting this on General forums, but it got buried under a mountain of QQ threads Currently there is a perceived imbalance in gear from crewskills not being as good as those received as mission rewards or from PVE/PVP. Below I will outline my thoughts on how to solve this imbalance, these arent my original ideas, but a mix of experience from previous games I have played, particularly SWG (Pre NGE/CU) and Ultima Online, which had excellent player economies and crafting systems. The Issue: BW need PVE and PVP gear to offer good rewards as part of the end game and keep the player base playing. Therefore the rewards from PVE/PVP are naturally better than those that can be player created. Some attempts to rectify this are epic schematics dropped in raids, however these reward typically BOP items, which dont enhance the economy or market. My Solution: 1. It will require a rework of how stats are summarised. I propose that each player can accumulate upto 1000 points (Points not percentage) of resistance in each of the 4 types of damage. If a char then has 1000 in each resistance (this will allow gear to upgrade as you level) he will receive the full mitigation that they currently have prior to talents etc. Please note that no amount of resistance will = 100% immunity/mitigation. 2. All gear will have a combination of stats, for example: Belt of the Noob (Enhancement Stats) +10 Power +5 Cunning (Resistance Stats) 80 Elemental resistance 62 Energy resistance 12 Kinetic Resistance 41 Kinetic Resist 3. Crafted Items will then have a Random assortment of stats, with certain types leaning towards Crit, power, surge, and a primary Stat (Cunning, willpower etc). These pieces can then be mixed and matched to create the best set possible, based on what you want, this will then allow tailoring for the different roles such as healing/tanking/dps. 4. Reward items from PVE, PVP will work on the same principle, but have higher Enhancement Stats, thus keeping the allure of PVE/PVP. However crafted items can then be used to augment and/or complete resistance sets. 5. Crew skills will also allow the crafter to add augment slots to any item, and also by using a workbench, copy any other style of armour and adjust colours, allowing for visual customisation. 6. It could also be possible to set a toughness level on crafted items, that once broken would need repairing, or upon repair would lower the overall toughness until the item needed repairing, thus ensuring a constant demand for crafted items. This will then create markets for crafted gears whilst keeping the requirement for PVE and PVP rewards and allow customisation.

  10. Yeah had this issue on my main char, slow respawn time and didnt drop the quest item. However, when i came to do it on an alt, I thought screw this, lets look around. If you run into randomn buildings around town, there are loads of the quest mobs, kill them. A good place to look is in and around the buildings where all the Crew Skill vendors are. Point to note, as already mentioned. If you get the Quest item of a mob spawn, move on, it wont drop it again!
  11. Actually youre completely missing the point, read my previoous posts if you want, or the hundreds of others who agree no info was given, but arguing with you is pointless!
  12. Seriously? semantics? Ok heres the semantics you PAID for the game either standard, DDE or CE (that cos t money) part of that purchase included 30 days free gameplay - therefore they are paid for, the initial purchase included 30 days play time.
  13. Or i answered a facetious , not really witty or original reply that didnt address the OP, or any of the criticisms, with a similar answer. Ironic....
  14. If the blind optimism of fanbois only contributed to world peace... See what I did there?!
