  1. PvP has gone so downhill, SWTOR is close to being put into the WoW category of not being able to be referenced as a pvp game. Its amazing how quickly this game fell apart on the pvp side. Guess its next stop GW2 for the mmo pvp fix.
  2. swtor is not a pvp game, so comparing it to gw2 is not fair. also swtor is on the ropes no matter how big a fan boy you are. merges 6 months in and none of the original staff left says volumes in comparison to any other mmo launched in the last 10 years. bioware is no longer hiding that there are major issues with the game and its future. 400,000 subscriptions cancelled during a two month stretch and 150,000 last month means people are getting fired in austin this month. Its only a matter of time until swtor goes free to play and subscription numbers balance out and it becomes a niche game. 5+ years from now there will be no other way of describing swtor other than a failure. the money made will not change the amount of money that could have been made. thats just the facts.
  3. seen a dfr tag today, seems we are all on prop5. even port nowhere. flurry together by accident

  5. problem with gw2 is not sure if its cool because its shiny and new or that my frustration with bioware management for this disaster of game population is tainting my decision making. if after playing the first week of swtor somone told me the game would be flat lining at month 6 i would have laughed at them. of the pvp servers 95% are all dead.
  6. gw2 is amazing, i was total hater until this weekends beta. suprised would be a huge understatement. amazing game. incredible
  7. That is good to hear. might have to make a toon on jung ma. even vulkar highway is losing players and getting worse each week with bioware dealing with growing pains of not knowing how to manage a mmo. hate pre-arranged open world pvp events but will take anything at this point until the ranked/rated warzones drops. june 11th can't be here fast enough to take a time warp back to swg pre-cu.
  8. vulkar highway if they ever have rated warzones. we have the best pvpers
  9. Any good pvpers on jung-ma anymore? acolytes still around?
  10. Trust me, many flurrians in pre-cu brought our talents to other servers like bria and bloodfin, the other supposed pvp servers with the same results. We basically invented the mmo urban legend that if someone is better than you in pvp they must be hacking. Because it must be the hammer thats making us 10v1 your entire crew.
  11. Know the glory of pre-cu flurry is many years past, like 10 years lol. But june 11th the basilisk server is being wiped in swgemu and restarting for a fresh start and not being wiped during alpha and beta testing. Anyone looking for the glory days should check it out. Pre-cu swg is what i use as a standard to compare every mmo that has come out since. figure why not go back and play the original thing. not leaving swtor by any means with vulkar highway becoming a source server supposedly but will build a presence in swgemu in this last wave of testing before the project is finally finished in the future. its worth the time to reinstall and check out. http://www.swgemu.com/forums/index.php http://www.swgemu.com/forums/content.php?r=179-Install-SWGEmu and if anyone forgot about pre-cu flurry, yeah owned your guild and yeah burned your bases. Often imitated, never duplicated ORIGINAL MeS.
  12. The healers here saying they were nerfed or healing has changed in 1.2 really need to learn to play or actually spec for healing now and not just have a dps build with a little healing. if you spec for healing and survival and gear yourself for the healing and survival you are going to be very close to un-killable by bad players and teams who do not focus and use CC properly. I have to hand it to Bioware for pvp in 1.2. Team v team format now needing much more skill and teamwork than before was suprising. The divide between bad players and good players has increased a ton since 1.2, reading these and class forums have shown it. Maybe some should think about returning to WoW or Hello Kitty Island instead of wasting time posting on the forums. As a heal spec operative it pretty easy to 3v1 bad players who do not look at buffs and watch cast bars. PvP is already easy with tab targeting, heaven forbid you actually have to learn other class ability animations, cast times, and buff symbols. Its also seems its too complex for some to put cast bars in the middle of their UI and use interupts. Really hope bioware does not listen to bad players who should not even be on a pvp server to begin with.
  13. the last few nights on vulkar have brought back so many memories of swg-flurry fights on tatooine. total mos syn/mos krayta/mos kast flashbacks.
  14. Its a roller coaster population. One day its great the next day its only during primetime. With no real feel of community on most servers because of how bad these forums are setup and the divide between factions makes pvp almost too much work. Throw in bioware's lack of experience with mmo pvp and people come and go even more. TERA is half the skill of AoC combat system and know a huge chunk of our original AoC guild is playing that only because there is nothing else to play. GW2 is a disaster of a pvp game, had so much potential and they killed it with changes and having to que for everything. Going to have to tough it out and hope for transfers in swtor and server merges next month. SWG-EMU had a very promising update letter 2 months ago, but as we all know its tab target. Will have to ride out swtor for the next 3 years as CCP finishes world of darkness or get sucked into the hype of firefall.
  15. Think when the hype of 1.2 settles down we will make an alt guild on HoG for fun. Primary is still on Vulkar Highway which is still heavily populated mostly because of smack talking and even repub/emp population. We also have a huge community of bloggers and podcasters. Having <Nothing Gaming> with their website and podcasts has helped keep the server alive and balanced. Good dueling community and premades pretty much all day. We initially rolled an repub alt guild on Port Nowhere, but we were not smart enough to know that all those pre-cu crap talkers in pre-launch were full of hot air. That server's empire went to the toilet fast. Still good to see the mainstay of flurry on one server with HoG. That some have been here since 2003 and still kicking has to bring a smile. -Raistlin/Wekill/Finx MeS-LAW
