  1. Is there any error message at all? or just it simple stop completely and close everything down?
  2. Well thats a fair point but if you're going too use currency exchange as an arguing point then you must factor in Value for said currency as well otherwise the prices in the store will be heavily lopsided in comparison too the currency you get from a sub.
  3. The irony being that at ESO the CS there (Crown store) is also obnoxiously prices even more so than Swtor if you want to get the items in those crates there or buy proper items they're often priced at a certain amount forcing you too make multiple purchases of crowns instead of one. i.e items prices at 700 (this is all over the place in other games too tho) and then theres actually the price of individual crates which is usually 400-500 per crate. Swtor isnt the best comparison as they are in the exact same position but in a different way. Should also note that if you were too buy crates in ESO the items you get in the crates are far less useful than they are in swtor. In that one aspect swtor actually beats ESO and ive been subbed to ESO since beta.
  4. Those of you arguing "you can just not buy it" should really stop. What they're doing is very exploitative and there are plenty of kids who play the game who will find their parents credit cards and use it without their permission too buy these things at this price. The marketing people know that and so they will price certain things accordingly in order too exploit these people along with those who are simply unable to control their urges and addictions. You could argue "how is that the companies fault, its the people doing that not them" well the simple fact is that there are plenty of F2P models that are successful that dont price so obnoxiously high, they haven't priced these things so high just because they need too no they've done it because they can. So its a question of ethics and that fact that people are basically just dismissing this offhandedly "just dont buy it" is disgusting because you know that just doesnt work, you're advocating exploitative practices. I dont care that this is just "capitalism" working as intended there is a limit for these things and the consumer needs too set that limit. We should be speaking up for those who cant control themselves and those who are too young too understand the stupidity of what they're doing too protect them and future players from this nonsense.
  5. this ^ If they are going too continue too increase the price of CM items then those of us who have been the backbone of the game since the beginning deserve a boost in what we get especially with the game being so restrictive so the fact we're still willing too contribute in a consistent way with our own money should be/is important and rewarded appropriately in line with the state of the game. F2P revenue CAN be consistent but it fluctuates a lot and I mean a lot its like that in every game. Not only that, it makes no sense too essentially reduce an incentive of subbing by arbitrarily increasing the CM prices on certain things and releasing $40 lightsabers.
  6. Only play empire and have one jedi knight for story purposes. favourites: - Voss (atmosphere and the planet is actually very relaxing for me. I quite like autumn haha) - Alderaan (music + atmosphere) - Belsavis (only certain parts though) - illum because nighttime and snow. Hate: - Balmorra - Tantooine (but but star wars franchise movie planet that started the whole thing! - IDC ITS BORING) - Hoth - Taris (ish) - Correlia Reason I hate those planets is purely because it feels obnoxious to get around even with fast travel and all that, you have to back track and back track and back track it just ends up not being fun at all. On top of that hoth is... well.... frustration, I always get a headache when im playing on hoth and its not the snow, its the blasted music I really dont know why, Perhaps the pitch of it? idk. I would turn it off but then it doesnt feel authentic even with better music in its place because of how the sounds done for the game. So I end up enduring it and end up with a headache every time I run through it for completion purposes I never go back there unless I absolutely have to.
  7. Too be fair, there are large swaths of planets that see virtually no use due to the hubs + quest trails vearing away from them including the area quests that trigger if all of them have been completely removed. Hoth is a good example actually (even though I hate hoth). So they could put them in those places, belsavis is kinda huge too, voss & correlia as well. So i mean its not impossible for them to do it its just 50/50 if they ever would. If they have no use for those parts of the planets though they should just reduce the range in which you can go on those planets otherwise they're just "dead space". Unless they wish too add content in some form to those areas beyond PvP. But with all the quests they removed already (side quests) not really sure which direction they will go in a part from either leaving it be or just out right removing those sections of the maps.
  8. They will gain more experience. You see everyone starts somewhere when it comes too group content or anything really. The more they make the attempt, the more they will learn. There will be freeloaders of course trying to get carried because they cant be bothered to try. But most will make the genuine effort to do well so they dont hinder the group. Just dont be toxic towards them at any point and try to help them when they ask for it and you'll have smooth runs. Ive found that too be true in nearly every MMO ive played. Give them time.
  9. quite litterally the reality of life/humanity. There ARE jerks everywhere lol
  10. the problem with post ep 6 lore (EU) is that they made Luke and Palpatine way too overpowered for their own good so as far as i am concerned when talking about palpatine I cannot use that source material in my head for working out who was and who isnt strong because it just ends up being stupid. at least too me. As for lucas's "cannon" originally, he basically said that so that anything that came before i.e TOR was irrelevant in comparison too his creation. (Keep in mind a lot of the TOR lore wasn't really something lucas approved of, he just didnt stop it and probably regrets it, hes a very arrogant guy imo, glad he created the universe but yeah). I cant consider the jedi of the movies being the strongest jedi ever. Way too many previous feats from TOR lore outweigh anything they did. As for yoda idk. He probably is/was extremely powerful but ehhh lack of visual evidence and written for that matter makes me believe that he was powerful but not as powerful as say .... idk satele shan or bastila or even revan for that matter. I will however say that I am biased as I do much much prefer the TOR era. I actually hate the rule of two. It makes the sith way too predictable and makes the jedi weak.
  11. Noticed the credit farmers for sure on malgus went too see if anyone was selling some old war hero stalker pieces and what price was the helmet + chest peices? 2,000,000. waited a bit longer and then there were some for 150,000 (the old normal price) brought those up instantly. Whoever is trying to sell the old rated pieces for 2 mil really should stop urgh The only high price I could understand for that set is the helm because it changes the voice and looks absolutely evil (which is great for sith characters haha)
  12. ehhh people are...distracted right now. The RPers are ..... at war? and the rest are just very happy with the changes and then there are some people who are upset due to loss of legacy bank items etc..... I am totally happy with the CXP already 31 and ive just finished balmorra haha.
  13. Bit off topic but the title of this thread is hilarious. Had a good laugh, thanks Can't remember the last time I laughed out loud at a thread title.
  14. dont assume you belong to a minority just because you had a positive experience.
  15. ehh need to play devils advocate every now and then right? I do believe it though, the way the industry is shifting is just going to push people back too what was better. So yeah I think they'll come back. Too much negativity on the forum as is id rather not be a part of that train of thought. Besides many often find it easier to get upset and worried about something and talk something into the ground with doomsday beliefs (in this case for products), for them its harder too be positive too them the "evidence" of doom is "irrefutable" always. Id rather be rational.
