  1. Actually, it's one of the reasons I fell into the smuggler faction. The story quest is awesome. The character interactions are hilarious. It keeps me going planet to planet. If your storyline is "sterile and lifeless", try a different class. There's probably one more to your liking.
  2. Not sure how it works with Ilum, but if you go afk in an arranged battleground, then you get booted from it. I think it only takes a minute of going afk in the safe zone.
  3. Same here! I've been custom binding the different quick slots to control+# and shift+# just so I didn't have to go hunting through the whole UI! Problem is: Almost every ability is useful, requires a different buff or position, and almost all of the abilities are frequently used! I hope they allow customized UI's soon.
  4. I think you've explained it all by yourself. People are paying, you cant really tip the game, canceling their sub, and telling their problem to whoever will listen (in the most public way they can). But for that matter, Bioware needs to know what their problems are and hear it from customers. if they don't, then how will they know what to prioritize for patches and fixes?
  5. I cant speak for everyone, but I'm certain that they are posting they are quitting because they want the reasons why they are quitting addressed. IMO: It's a good game. I agree that it has some major flaws. And those flaws are going to cost accounts until it's fixed. Don't bother responding to the threads or even reading them if you don't want to. But if nobody tells Bioware what's wrong with their game, and what it's costing them; then they may not have the incentive to respond to the problem. This is about the only ultimatum that a customer can have. As consumers, we have little to no control of telling a company how to achieve greater customer satisfaction. And unfortunately, cutting ones subscription is about the last resort.
  6. I certainly hope it isn't tanking. Bioware still has a lot of growing to do to get into the MMO market. From the numerous posts people have made, it's quite obvious that their customer service department is completely swamped. GM responses are a little off as well, and their less than transparent system of warning and banning has upset more than a fair share of people. The game still has beta bugs, and is missing features that other mmo's currently have (there's a really good post out there about the development of the game, and what Bioware has to catch up to to succeed) However: On the same token, the game has a very strong storyline (I've seen very few complaints about the storyline aside from comments on the romance/light side dark side choices being idiotic) And a good single player feel to it as well (or small cooperative game) Unfortuantely, once completed (and yes, given enough time, this will happen to everyone) You run out of the story, and are then stuck with only the flawed parts of the game to deal with. Flawed PVP system (balancing level 50's in with level 10ish people in the same BG?) , "spell lag", and much more (read the forums, there's plenty of feedback) I certainly hope Bioware grows up fast. This game has the capability to be a pioneer in story-driven mmo titles (Certainly, having nearly 100% voice over acting is a first in any mmo). I just hope they can stop stepping on their own toes long enough to recuperate the damage that is being done to their customers, their game development reputation, and finally their customer service. On a side note: I suspect if this game fails, we'll never see the Mass Effect MMO discussed as a potential option for the ME series. Best of Luck Bioware! I wish you the best.
  7. Vahn, why do you keep posting when all it does is bump this thread that you obviously haven't liked since the moment you made your first post? No, the OP (myself) was not banned. No, I have not lied. Yes, I provided all the screenshots I could without violating the forum policies. No, I have not gotten the screenshots notarized to prove their authentication. I've learned more about the exploits in this game in this one forum post than any other. To my knowledge, the person KNOWINGLY did nothing different than many others of you have already (going to Ilum and harvesting nodes). All I have to go on is the emailed response from the GM that banned the player in question. Please keep your personal attacks out of the forum post. I'm certain that people ARE exploiting the game. I'm fairly certain my friend was not one of them. I'm glad the Bioware is working to minimize the exploits. But I do not like the way it is being handled from a customer service standpoint. That is why I started the post. It's not to discuss the guilt, or innosence, of who knows how many players that may or may not have been banned for exploiting Ilum, but to voice my concern as to how Bioware is handling (or not handling) the problem. I don't have any other ulterior motive. Posting this will not unban my friend. I like the game, and want to see it succeed. I certainly hope nobody cancels their account over it (I've read a few posts where people said they might) I DO hope that it will spark further revisions in how Bioware handles exploits, customer service, and warning/banning (and maybe even try to find out why the logic/grammar of their GM's post is so terrible) If there was a suggestion forum, I would have posted in there instead. But well, there's not even one of those.
  8. /signed I cant wait for this feature.
  9. 1) Multiplayer space combat 2) More space ships 3) More features inside a space ship (it's like a mobile home without any amenities. Mail and store would be nice) 4) More classes 5) More races 6) More stories 7) More space combat! 8) More NPC's 9) The ability to "call out" more npc's than just one (at least in 2+ Zones. It makes me sad to wait forever to find someone to complete a 2+ zone with) 10) Armor DYE!
  10. I tend to agree to the OP... Forums will be trolled and every positive suggestion will turn into smear of negativity. Fanbio's continue to tout the games success no matter what the truth of the matter is. The game is going to have to keep accounts for prolonged periods of time in order to make up for the money spent on development and licensing. If they don't resolve the problems people voice, people WILL leave. All the more a problem when the story mode is finite. Once you've completed your story, what then? Sit at 50 with open pvp? I for one hope that Bioware and CS pick up the pace. At the very least, they need to get some have some community promoting employee's to actually read, and respond to forum threads (and not just wave the warn stick and hang out in the shadows) I want this game to succeed. I want this game to be the one that me and my friends play for years to come! ... It's not there yet, and their current customer service level isn't going to solve any community outcry's either.
  11. All the information communicated is posted on this forum. There was no GM direction, merely a ban and the email provided.
  12. Read the OP. Not just the header. I have been continually updating it with information as the topic progresses. Read the posted screenshot, it declares what the bannable offense was. It was nothing more than traveling to a zone too high level and leveling up tradeskill.
  13. I've seen a screenshot with a background involving the forums community posting declaring it closed and hidden, but that was mostly the default background of the forum and post, not a customer service specific graphic.
  14. 1) I was not there. 2) I'm not taking just his word on it, I'm taking the GM's word. He posted the screenshot. 3) I was not there. 4) Whatever his bannable offense is, it would have been mentioned in the email at the time of the ban in the customer support email. It doesn't matter what my friend states occured, but what the GM stated was done wrong. If he was doing capture base flipping, or pvp point farming, whatever it was: It would have been made mention in the screenshot.
