  1. i have no FPS drops in this game but after a lot of observation my droids concluded that is a server side problem that might be fixable 1) Lag and GDC glitches are not present on all maps but mostly on warzones and maps with multiple instances, i'm not an expert but this might mean that they can improve resource distribution, fixing the problem 2) My droids are 99.999% (nine nine nine) sure that it's server side since teams from all over the world report the problems on TS/vent/mumble, you can also see people reporting the problem mid game at the same time. It's not a coincidence that it happens only on primetime. 3) Some warzone matches "overlap" each other, for example a few days ago i noticed a lot of people (more than 16) on the same Huttball instance -The Pit (2). You can see people from the other match spawning on the center of the map, choking the game like dem marauders. i'm worried about what will happen when f2p hits
  2. that's why i said opposite side of your base since that equals preventing people from crossing the bridge, you conquered the terrain but anyway the republic is going to put some gslingers on the bridge, nothing the empire can do anyway since they are inferior /taunt
  3. about the objective, keeping control of the opposite side of the bridge (from your faction respawn) should also count since nobody is going to stand on top of the bridge waiting to get knockbacked

  5. Went there for the first time and it's a great place, nice find.. I used to organize a lot of events on other games and like i said before i'm worried that if you don't provide a place to conquer people will spread too much or end it up spawn camping. No need to edit the hoth event, keep it like you posted so we see if this end it up happen, but just to illustrate what i was trying to say here's a zone that "triangulates" with the 2 outposts and have a unique look... thats the only torch that have smoke there, but i dont think its unique enough. Also i don't know much about PVE on this game so i dunno if the respawn rate of mobs would be a problem since it's a heroic area and it's near the world boss. Also this place give a big advantage to Imperials since they can walk on top of the ice from theirs respawn (but imagine the possibilities haha).   6. No need to do something complicated, just find a spot that triangulates with both empire and republic medical center and choose a small area that needs to be conquered. It needs to be a place really specific or people will spread around, i think something like one level caves, statues and big objects could be set as the reference. I'm going to take a look at some places when i have the time. Btw the "winner" doesn't really mather since there's multiple instances and other factors, but it's nice to keep some track like screenshots and list of videos, we could use that blog. I really hope we can keep evolving this world pvp idea, i'm bored as **** of warzones and i know a lot of people that are too. Sure you can get a group and camp black hole or something but it's just not the same thing, i don't want to beat PVE geared people.
  7. then you fragment rankeds even more and you cant even play with your friends (1~4 man queue), since imo a lot of the problems is to find 8 people and keep they as a team
  8. Did you read my posts before they wiped? Anyway, i was saying that you guys should make events more simple. Don't add a lot of rules because people will not read, forget about it or choose to ignore. Walls of text are also bad, if you want to add lore or something, just place below everything. I also suggested the creation of a simple blog where people could subscribe (RSS feed), i made an example on how i think events should be described: link: http://pot5.tumblr.com Always provide a screenshot of the location (map) and the objective (like a gate or something, just like you did on the tatooine event). btw don't even think about using some guild board or a place bloated with information, keep it simple. I also stated how ilum is not good for world pvp events since: - the objectives are badly placed and require a lot of meaningless roam - i have no FPS issues in this game but there's a huge problem, once you join a ops group you get those yellow and red messages on your screen causing the game to freeze for a few seconds. Even if you disable the mission tracker you still get this freeze. - the map is resource heavy since they didn't remove the lasers and other particles (for those that don't remember, when they removed the same particles from warzones people got a massive boost on fps), so people with low/medium specs computers will have massive fps drops.
  9. who said anything about being easy/hard? it's just boring i have the rakata reusables ones and a huge amount of materials to make exotech stims till the end of times i still don't like it, should be pve only. if you even consider removing the nades you need to remove stims too since it would be another buff to biochem

  11. Yeap, even if you make 8-man VS pug ignore the rating system (nobody lose or gain any points) it would still be unfair and boring. Your idea of a group finder is neat, but i think it would only work if we completely remove 8-man queue, so people could form 4-man groups and queue (4+4 VS 4+4). Then you could base the gain/loss of points on other peoples rating. Maybe even create an additional rating (individual) so people don't feel like they are getting pulled down by the other 4 "pugs", and be able to buy the 2400 gear/speeders with that rating too.
  12. Just to clear things up, i wasn't talking about making PVP 4x4, just to allow people to queue with 4 people (and then filling the team with another 4 pugs). That's a place we can't go since class balance would be a huge mess.
  13. Or this game is not "compatible" with only 8-man ranked warzones? From reading the boards and talking to people ingame, i observed a few patterns. I'm trying to understand how things work, i'm not saying this is absolutely true, i just want to hear people's opinion. Also, i feel no desire to play rankeds with this system. 1) This game live of cycles. Imagine you have a full team for ranked warzones, suddenly there's either a hiatus from BW or another game that take a few people away (i'm not saying they ragequit just stop playing for sometime and maybe come back) and guilds/teams are completely crushed. 2) If your team weren't affected directly by item 1, you would still get less people to play against, leading to longer queues and a lot of times you end it up facing the same teams, or they queue dodge. Suddenly your team is not motivaded to play. The entrance gap is way higher than a game like League of Legends and there's no way we can have the same number of people, so we can't expect to use a similar system without a lot of changes. 3) If you didn't had a team and played with pugs, you probably have a pretty bad rating. It's to hard to compensate for that, even if you are skilled it's a huge pain to recovery from that. Example: going from 900 to 2400, is that even possible? I'm not even playing rankeds anymore, all the people i knew left the game and it's a pain to fit in another team. I would suggest a solo or 4-man max queue ranked (with some requirement like having valor 70, so you know people would have at least battlemaster gear) on a Elo system so you can still compete with other people on a better level than regular "recruit gear" zones. The problem is this would fragment even more the 8-man. Maybe i'm asking too much but can a dev elaborate on the current state of ranked warzones, and if they are thinking about changing the system or introducing something new?

  15. they should make it count for "social zones", this means when you are on coruscant, cantinas or maybe other places you appear on that counter and also share the same general chat, or something like that this could also be applied when they introduce guild ships
