  1. Some Master FP's are just flat out more challenging then others. I think part of the challenge depends on a combination of character level & which FP you end up in. An under-leveled, under-geared group can probably pull off Hammer Station relatively easily, but put that same group in something like Blood Hunt and all bets are off.
  2. I like the idea of resetting SWTOR back to day 1. Then over time, implement the updates. Kind of like the 'Time Lock' servers on EQ2. Start the game fresh, just like it was at release. Then every other month or so release the next update. This would be a completely separate server. None of your characters would transfer. It would be as if you were starting the game from day 1.
  3. So it's priced at like 1.5 hypercrates? Sounds about right to me.
  4. Well said DTS. Someone else commented here that calling someone on this was an 'attack'. I think that's just silly. Since when is asking for legitimate sources or for truths an attack. Kind of like the 'fake news' trend that has consumed American politics as of late. It's just kooky if you ask me. I did what you suggested once - where I went thru the entire thread and counted for/against comments by unique poster names. Someone kept insisting the 'yays' had the majority, but when presented with my counts showing otherwise, they just deflected and still tried to suggest the 'yays' were the majority. Nothing you can do but laugh. OP - I've played since early release. My desire to play ebbs and flows like a ocean tide. I don't point to any game release or mechanic as my reason for binging or not on the game. Rather, I've discovered for me, my interest in a game tends to wane over time. It just loses it's magic. Bringing back something, or a particular game release version won't restore that magic for me, it's more about the excitement and wonder of a new game. Over time that magic diminishes by no fault of the publisher.
  5. I agree op it's pretty easy and silly I hate when players suggest running naked, or without your companions, or without your skills, or fighting with your fists to make it harder lol. I mean technically that would make it harder, but...what's the point of playing a game about lightsabers, cool gear & companions without lightsabers, cool gear & companions?!
  6. Hey that's cool I didn't know that was an issue for some people. Thanks for sharing. Ironically, I find it is harder to see the aoe recticle now than before
  7. I'm with you op. For the same reasons. It's not like we're asking a lot, EA/BW already introduced an in-game item to turn off xp boost before. Do it again! And to all the haters... no, running naked, or without your companions, or without your skills, or fighting with your fists isn't a viable option to counter the 250% xp gain lol. I mean technically it is, but...what's the point of playing a game about lightsabers, cool gear & companions without lightsabers, cool gear & companions?!
  8. Good point. I agree. Now everyone go buy some stuff from the Cartel Market!
  9. I expect their plans at launch was for the game to run at least 10 years, and that guesstimate being based solely on internal forecasts for EA/BW to get a good return on their investment. There's no way anyone then could've predicted the direction of the industry back then. We can only speculate how much money the game is actually making, but I imagine they will keep it going as long as it is turning a reasonable profit.
  10. I hear ya op. Wishful thinking but it might be nice to have group finder toggle on tactical FP's for 'speedrun' or 'strorymode'. Former being finish the FP asap, and latter being do everything - all mobs, all bosses, all cut scenes.
  11. Try running flashpoints with your friend in a full group in 'Veteran' mode until you learn the ins & outs. Once you know your way around the FP's and various mechanics they become quite easy. It takes a little practice.
  12. I play FP's almost exclusively. All roles. All pugs. My experience has been positive, 4/5 groups are able to clear the content and/or are willing to take guidance from more experienced players. It's the 1/5 that give FPs a bad rap imo. I don't think changing stats or having gear/skill checks, or raising the min level will fix anything. Some people just don't care enough to know their class & rotation. They are super casuals who play just for fun. They get by fine in pve, but HM group content exposes their weaknesses. And usually they don't even know it, it takes a veteran player to recognize it. These types of folks probably aren't going to change, and that's fine. Everyone plays their own way. But please don't make the content any easier for people who like the challenge. HM FP's are HM for a reason.
  13. Not gonna happen. Only thing players will see that would clue us in to this are any adjustments they make to how much/fasat cxp is given for different activities.
