  1. Found my answer, nm.
  2. I’ll assume that your 70 and a sub. What I’d do is spend a few hundred command tokens on 230 gear, and if you have a stock of unassembled components, get the saber and shield at 236. For vet mode stuff, I “tank” on my guardian in mostly dps gear, even if I’m in defense spec. Vet modes don’t need a real tank, and the spec will let you keep aggro most of the time. Then as you gear up you can move into MM content. Another thing to keep in mind: don’t open command crates unless your in defense spec. That will get you tank gear from the crates.
  3. I'm slowly working my way through the Alliance Specialist alerts and I'd really like to get M1-4X. (I'm pub side.) I've recruited Yuun, and I see a bunch of new alerts, but no Forgotten Trophy. Is this a bug or what? This is a 70 Guardian, I've finished all chapters in KotFE. Any ideas? Note: I'm basing my info on the Dulfy guide.
  4. Sadly, I've given up on good looking marauder gear. I'm currently wearing a TD-07A Dread Scout chest with the helmet hidden. With color matching the rest of the outfit (Rakata) looks OK. As soon as I can not lose my 4pc, though, I'll start switching in more of the Dread Scout set. The IA set with sabers actually looks pretty cool.
  5. I like taking lots of screenshots. Especially when I get a new level or find an unlock. In The Game That Shall Not Be Named, I had a mod that did this automatically. In SWTOR, with the emphasis on alts/story/exploration it would be nice to have this as a built in feature. Thanks!
  6. Ok, I'm mildly disappointed that the patch isn't out today. It would have been nice, but no biggie. HOWEVER, BW has now once again missed their own forecasts on delivering this patch. First it was March, then early April, now who knows. During the guild summit one of the leads (Daniel?) said that doing X (I forget exactly what) made them look stupid and they didn't want to look stupid. Well, constantly announcing dates and missing them is also making BW look stupid. Here's what I suggest: Shut your mouths about dates. Period. Ship when it's ready. We all know that last minute bugs (small and large) pop up and cause delays. When you say "We will ship a patch in early April" and you don't, you look like incompetent idiots. When you say, "We will ship a patch when it's ready" and you do, you look great. If you ship 3 weeks later than planned, no one outside knows that and there's no problem. Please BW, shut up about dates.
  7. I've been playing a bunch of alts lately and something that's been missing is some sort of notice that the chapter has ended. It's have The Fight and go click on random dude on space fleet. Having an unlock (with some sort of high level summary of each chapter) would be really cool. Bonus points for doing a scrolling text cinematic for the start of each chapter too.
  8. I saw in the patch notes that the message that Jaxo sends will be fixed to include an item needed for that quest. Will we be getting that message resent once 1.2 goes live?
9. First off, this is meant to start where the UI updates in 1.2 leave off. I've checked out the PTS and really like where BW is headed. In particular, how easy it is to completely reset large portions of the UI. It seems like it will be very easy to have a tank ui, healer ui, etc and switch to the right option for the task at hand. Bravo! One theme I'd like BW to continue to explore is that of profiles. I'm surprised at how much I like the way they work in 1.2 and I have high expectations that you will continue to develop using those concepts. Keybinds I admit, at first I wanted them associated with the UI however after thinking about it more, I want keybinds as a DIFFERENT UI profile. Just because I happen to like how <random player> setup their UI doesn't mean that I will like their keybinds, or vice versa. However, I do want a way to backup/store/share my keybinds. Also, we need more. For instance, space combat needs to have keybinds unique from the regular UI. I don't have left/right turning on keybinds, so now I can't strafe in space. Raid markers. Those really, really need to be keybindable. While we're at it, the cute symbols are nice. Can we also just have big numbers like in Rift? Especially in a pug, it's far easier for everyone to agree that "1" means first kill! UI options The current (as of 1.2) UI options are a HUGE step forward. Nothing is perfect and plenty of good feedback exists in the PTS forum. I'm torn on 3rd party mods, even "look only" mods since that inherently impacts balance. If I have better/more relevant information that's easier to get to, I have an advantage over people with poorer access to information. OTOH, that's the same with the default UI for people who's cognitive model works well with the default versus people who's cognitive model is very different than the default. One (of many!) major areas is on buffs/debuffs/procs. I'd suggest that the BW devs go look at something like PowerAuras from the WoW mod community. (I think there was an even more ambitious take on the idea called WeakAuras, but I never used it.) Basically, PA was a "simple" framework that allowed the user to create micro-mods on a variety of conditions. Then "bundle" and even share those micro-mods. An ingame version for SWTOR could help meet the customization needs for many (not all) players while also allowing BW to control how complex those mods could be. I'd also suggest you check out the "proc" system that Aion uses. It's not directly usable in SWTOR since the combat systems are different, but I thought it was an interesting way to address the issue and keep hotbars from getting too cluttered. Macros I understand that BW is hesitant to allow game play automation. With that in mind, here's what I would find I really want in macros. Target awareness. When I'm on my Merc, I want to heal allies and hurt enemies. Being able to have a macro that casts a heal if the target is friendly, or damage ability if enemy, seems reasonable. It saves me slots AND means I can have the same keybinds no matter where I am. Area awareness. When I'm in a warzone, use my pvp health pack, when in an op use my blue healthpack, otherwise use the white vendor healthpack. Let me have a LOT of macro slots so I don't get crammed. Export/sharing options would be full of win here too! That's all I can think of for now. Keep going BW!
  10. The "best" spec/AC will change from patch to patch. The make or break for everyone outside of the super-hardcore-gotta-be-world-first types is the person pressing the keys. The difference between a mara and a jugg isn't going to be so much that your friends are going to drop you for a mara. OTOH, you might drop them if you find yourself hating the mara and/or wishing you could choose to tank once in a while.
  11. This. This. This. I used Arkinventory back in wow, and just knowing _about_ where stuff was helped a lot. FWIW, even though I didn't like the particulars, WarHammer had this feature and once I got used to it all was good. Oh, and this needs to work in my bank too! /bump for 1 and 2 I'll add that I'd like a filter for main stat on vendors as well. When I'm looking for Aim gear, let me see just that, please! Having my toon's stats as the default would be acceptable, but I do buy gear for companions, so having all 4 filters is really what I need here. Also, a way to buy stacks. If there is a way, then we need a better UI hint at HOW. There are a lot of features that are completely hidden unless you've come across them somewhere else.
  12. Hopefully better than they can spell.
  13. Ok, I have a bunch of orange gear and I've been playing along happily. In order to make a few credits I've been slicing. My question: How the heck do I use augments? On all the modable gear I've gotten so far I only see the following slots: ar mor barrel hilt enhancement mod crystal So, what's up with augments?
  14. And here I was thinking you were gonna stick with it because we can't change AC! On a serious note, I've been having a blast on my marauder. I'm only level 25, but pvp has been very fun. There might be a bit of a learning curve but it's a very rewarding trip! Edit: in pvp 1 on 1 I never feel let down by the class. I get killed, but usually because I screwed up, not because the class is weak.
