you know, that's actually a good point lolz. with the exact number of folks who would get on the servers in hand.. it should be a non issue. gladly i had off today and logged on at 7am and haven't logged off since so i have no issues. days off are glorious

so far lvl 7 and this is the second time ive become stuck in the world while using cover. i roll behind a box and while i can see my toon next to the cover object, when i attempt to move on after killing the mob, i cannot and am handcuffed in place to the static cover item. i have tried /stuck but it doesn't get me off the object. the first time i managed to pull some nearby mobs and have them kill me. the first time the med probe droid rez'd me but i was still stuck on the object. i had to pull a 2nd time, then rez at the medical clone spawn point in order to get free. i am now stuck a 2nd time in a different place. same scenario where stuck won't work but this time there's no nearby mobs so i'm doomed lolz. is there a work around for this or will my lil smuggler fellow be stuck on a box for eternity?

if there are brand spanking new car smell servers the 20th then absolutely i'll be happy to roll a toon or 2 there. the people who are mad, are merely mad because they want to play a game they've waited years for.. and where early access was a marketed, selling point of a game which they pre ordered based on the marketed selling point that they'd get in early. there are people in early. the other folks who are not in early yet, feel like they aren't getting something they bought and paid for.. they may or may not be reasonable, but when you've waited years to play along with millions of other people, and there are a magical, special few thousand who are playing but you're not one of them, i can see how they'd get a bit grumpy. a week from now, no one will remember or care. but on the 13th and 14th.. they care very much

preorder july 23rd here. not in at all on tuesday. almost 9am wednesday. hopes and dreams folks, hopes and dreams. the good news is i got a full 10 hours of sleep rather than the all nighter i had planned for tuesday into wednesday, so i've got rest going for me !

SWG i recall had an issue way, way at the beginning with twileks and helms. they finally did some sneaky coding where the lekku would just kind of stick out the front of whatever helm you were wearing and it worked and didn't look too bad really. this was in 2003. so i'm confident that TOR will work something out given it's almost 2012 and technology is light years ahead of nine years ago

it's not so much complaining, it's more the waiting. what else are a few million people with computer access and a whole slew of forums going to do hehe. that and the good names are going fast lolz ooh and there's soooo much evil i'm missing out on doing and people who need killing. my sith inquizzy is itching to be created and unleashed upon an unknowing galaxy !

They kinda did say you'd get in early. in fact they marketed the pre-orders on early access. when you effectively pay for something, but then don't get it.. folks tend to get a wee bit pissed. once everyone is in game i'm sure they'll all forget this painful little bit of stuff happened. but when millions want to play but only a magical, special few get to ... you get what we had here today on the forums.

it's a bad PR move, when you have millions of people who want to use your product but you only allow a special, magical few thousand to actually use it.. then that magical few thousand get a competative and game-based economic advantage with said special access while everyone else does not. as for the arguement that pre launch days are freebie bonus from bioware. that would be true if they invented this on their own as a gesture of good will; as soon as they began marketing pre-release access as a perk of pre-order then it became something people bought and paid for. when you pay for something and then do not get it, you tend to get pissed off.

if it were something they did out of the blue then yes it's a priviledge; when they promote it as a selling point of a pre order then no, it's not. it'd be like you paying for a bmw and getting a chevet. then them saying well you could've gotten a BMW.

I didn't even buy the game and i got in already 3 toons at lvl 50 and i've got several server first titles!!!! yay me !!! j/k really still not in and not going to check again til the 16th when i get another day off. had the 13th totally off and could play allllll day but no email and that makes me a saaaaaad panda

haha yeah i got the 'closed for maintenance' message when i tried to log in to the chat too lolz. you'd figure that best buy, bioware and EA would be able to set something up over the internet since all 3 companies are technology and consumer companies hahaha. swing, and a miss !!!!!!

i whole heartedly agree. all the people who are grumpy and sad or complaining just feel the same way and they're chomping at the bit to get in and do some damage i am too don't get me wrong.. but what the heck we've waited years, whats another day or 2.
